I want both that's the problem...its funny upon closer inspection Mir/ka actually has kind of a manlier (square) jaw/chin shape than Kyle...I think I might go with a MNF Mir/ka...

 

Now, the question is...m-line or a-line? I wish they were still doing hybrids. I kind of want the a-line with model legs and full bust for my Chloe.

In case anyone is interested, I did a bunch of comparison pictures of my MiniFee bodies! Thought it might come in handy for anyone that's considering hybridising two MiniFees. Although The M-line busts do appear to sit higher on the torso, there doesn't seem to actually be a height difference between the normal and hybrid A-lines. Apart from number 5 for some reason... I think this is because of the model legs though!

Stokiaci That's exactly the combination I have for my Chloe! She's away for faceup right now, but no. 3 below is her body. Maybe see if you can find someone that wants an M-line with a smaller bust to do a split with?

Chantilly hopes everyone is having a nice Halloween.
I cut her fringe because it was bothering me hanging in front of her eyes and I think I have messed it up. I wish I could glue it back on

My Ruth boy is almost home, I had to pay rather hefty customs fees for him today and then I will only get him on Monday. At least I will have the weekend to finish the shirt I have been stitching for him. I also have to research how to string a minifee as he is coming unstrung and I have never done anything like this before.

Everyone's dolls are looking beautiful, I can't wait to see all the new minifee's that will start arriving in the next few months.

 

Thank you! She is an a line body with cutie legs and the full bust. The only issue I have with the cutie legs is they try to buckle on me, so I tend to keep her in her boots all the time.

Also, someone mentioned that FL said that you can't change the legs between M-line and A-line. Where did they mention this? Because on the release of M-line they stated here:

Did they make an announcement somewhere? I know when I asked in the QnA about the boy leg swap (A-line to M-line) they said it might look odd but can be done. But I haven't heard anything about the girls. Maybe I missed it?

 

This is a little off topic but I really hope this batch of tan looks as dark and lovely as it does in that comparison photo.

 

That's very cool Anneva. Thanks for posting that. I knew roughly how they'd look, but I'd ever see such good IRL photos. Just some box opening close-ups. That page is bookmarked for sure.

On a side note, that TS A-line with the glamour bust looks gorgeous. I think it's because the skin is more matte than the NS, which is unnaturally shiny, plus it looks like you had some blushing and such done.

 

Hi, I am planning to order a TS A-line girl Mir/ka (so hard to choose..., but I love the prominent nose, slender jawline, and that almost smirk) and was wondering if anybody has a recent-release a-line girl body, and whether or not they have magnetic feet. I would prefer not to order the magnetic ankle joints and magnetic flat feet just so that I could get heel feet, but I will if i have to.
(Note the A-Line TS boy tika body I got during the wolf story event does have magnetic feet, but I haven't seen anything posted about the girls).

And does anybody have a TS Mir/ka to spam (or were they released after the last TS event)?

I took these at about 6pm (which is now dark in the UK!) so the lighting wasn't great, but I colour corrected as much as possible in Lightroom, and I think my tan girl is maybe only slightly lighter IRL than she appears in the photo.

Thanks! I have had the tan skin girl blushed and sealed which is why she probably appears much less shiny than the NS girls. Hopefully I can get them all blushed at some point, but moneys

 

Someone asked on their Q&A a few months ago asking, and Fairyland said they couldn't be swapped.

 

i did the thing, i ordered my tan celine from dde on layaway. got her on the a-line, i plan on swapping busts and possibly legs with the m-line body i have in a split. but we'll see when she arrives. now to find wigs. does anyone have a tan celine in a blonde wig, by chance? or a cocoa brown wig?

That's odd. Why announce they can be but say they can't when someone asks? And I can't search through their QnA as it keeps bringing back an error.

I've seen A-line legs on the M-line torso and it looked nice, but haven't seen anyone put the M-line legs on an A-line torso. I really wish I had tried this out when I had my two girls before I sold them so I'd know how it'd look.

 

Love all the Celine, they are so pretty. May I request some tan Celine with default face up.... I'm thinking to order her soon, but can't decided on her face up.... Really want to know is the default purple face up suits her beautiful tan skin or not... Thanks.

 

Don't know if I've mentioned this here but I placed an order for a tan a-line Chloe. I must say it is very hard for me to order something so common and popular, such as the Chloe sculpt Every time I hear about someone ordering a tan Chloe I die a little inside lol! Not that there's anything wrong with that, it just means I'm more terrified of how I can make her stand out from the rest or how to actually make her look different and unique.

So anyway, I didn't want to miss a tan event, so I ordered her. I don't particularly have a character in mind for her, I may even cancel my order. The idea of having a NS Marcia as my little quirky art muse doll is much more appealing. So you guys, should I or should I not follow through with the order?

 

Well... it's really your choice. You can write down a pros and cons list.
If you get the tan Chloe do you think you'll end up just selling her anyway? If so maybe you should just stick to the Marcia.
Usually when these tan events happen I put other doll things on hold since they don't offer tan very often and secondhand
prices are ridiculous if you want to buy something later. Last year I got my tan pkf Mio, tan Woosoo, and tan Mirwen. For me
it was a good decision. My other dolly plans can always wait because they will always be there.

It'd be silly if you got 2 dolls to put the a-line legs on the m-line body and then you couldnt put the m-line on the a-line and would end up with 2 halfs of a doll you couldnt do anything with lol.

are aline boy and girl interchangeable? if so i would they the moe legs would fit on the aline body then.

 

You have to look at the fullsets pages of individual dolls (or basic, if they don't have FS. For ex I think Miyu has a basic page only).

 

I'm definitely interested as well- in particular, I'd love to see M-line boy legs on an M-line girl. I know quite a few pages back someone said they didn't fit perfectly, but I'd really love pictures- I'm one of those people who are stubborn and don't want to believe things unless there is evidence, heh.

Once my girl comes in, I might try to find someone with an M-line boy so we can do this comparison and take pictures. My girl has the girth she needs, but she also really needs some height.​

Kearsy I really like the face painting. What sculpt is she?

 

The A-line girls do not have magnetic feet. You can get hook heel feet if you want them though, then you don't need the magnet ankle joint. They're obviously more effort to change, but it's really not that bad. Also, you don't have to worry about them getting stuck in shoes.

I think the full-set Tikas and Rins were released with magnet feet because of their fantasy parts, but the regular releases were not.

Mir/ka was released after the first TS event, yes, so you'll have to wait to see if anyone ordered one this time around.

I don't want to freak anyone out, but according to the person running the FL twitter account, there is a chance of the tan pre-orders stopping before the end of the event if they consider they've gotten too many orders (for quality control).

and one thing that really bugs me... both the twitter representant and the official event announcement on the site have said B-lines would be available in tan and it's not the case! 0_o

Their back stories are not really filled out and I've not established relationships between them which has led me to think that perhaps I ought to get rid of some but I'm not sure I could do that! If you are able to start a layaway with DDE I advise you do it! Pretty sure they won't 'hold' a doll unless you've made the first payment.

I am so glad now that I put my pre-order in for a Tan Shushu through DDE a couple days ago instead of waiting. I would have been so disappointed find out that I missed my chance.

Zevran is kind, well intentioned and slightly hapless, like Ezio; Shale is methodical and driven, like Altair; and Morrigan is cunning and ruthless, like Tom
(I'm limited by my very strict MNF to LS ratio, but as soon as I order the body for my floating LS Ken head I can look into acquiring the Ruth I want for Alister! )

I found out about a week ago I won't be cleared to go back to work until January (have been ill for a bit) and that means that aside from my current dolls and my tan Chloe on order with dde, I'm not going to be able to buy any more dolls for the year. Yet there is a gorgeous BW woosoo on MP that I want so much. Ahhh if only to have an income again and not be dependent on the man for money!

Anyone feel like spamming me their woosoo girls to make me feel better?

 

Can anyone recommend a faceup artist that will also do a full body blushing? I'd sure appreciate some direction!

That was posted LAST week so we should still be okay. DDE has told people they have until the 16th to get orders in. I also did ask in the CS center so when I get a response I will post it here.

 

it might have been posted last week, but the point is that they are keeping count of the orders so they don't get more than the can produce.
'monday' was 3 days after the ordering period started. it would be weird that they'd just go "eh, if it doesn't overflow by the third day then it never will". they could end up reaching their quota this thursday for all we know.

 

Since I have a Moe-girl and a Moe-boy, curiosity got the better of me and I started to try this. First was the girl legs onto the boy body - photo below - and my initial impression is that they don't really fit well, and consequently, don't pose well.They'd need to be sanded a bit I think, or at least judiciously sueded. I'll do the boy legs onto the girl body later today; it's harder because the elastic is shorter.

 

Took new photos of Pommie today and finally changed her out of Rin's outfit~
