Oh my goodness the NF head is amazing! Really want one but I'm with kita8 on this one, will have to wait and see owner pics first with face ups!

I see a little bit of Luka in the NF head, too. I think it's the nose... And Miss Emily looks amazing! Such an awesome hybrid. Cannot wait to see all of the cool stuff you do with her.

 

I kind of see Zio in the NF head, if she was a MNF. The ducky pursed lips and such.

Thanks lol unfortunately I've lost my really nice camera somewhere under the pile of dolls being modding and such on my work desk so I just used my crappy camera phone... I'm going to the beach in Florida in a couple weeks and she's going with AND I'll have my camera back from the clutter that is my current workspace by then... So hopefully I'll have much better pics of her.

I also have some spam to share! My order of MSC got here today and, while I didn't paint the girls' nails like I'd hoped, I DID get to work on their faceups and finished up the pastel work. I'm doing linework tomorrow, but so far I'm super happy with the way that my Rena, Lily, is coming along! You can see a picture of her wigless here.

My Risse arrived and she is amazing!

 

I LOOOOVE everyone's Risse!!! Honestly, I was beginning to worry she wouldn't be as awesome in reality as she is in FL's photos. But with all of the owner pics i am completely reassured! can't wait to get my girl off Layaway!

 

So I spent most of yesterday and part of today updating the DoA Minifee Wiki. I think I got all the basic information I could find for each sculpt (excluding some discontinued Luts/FL sculpts from early 2008 and back).
It looked like both the DoA wiki and the FAQ by mendokusai and keishi-chan hadn't been updated in some time. Most of the sculpts didn't have an existing page yet on our DoA Wiki.
Hopefully that's helpful for newbies (like me). After all that research I feel a little less lost.

If you have any info to add to the Measurements section, or whatever, feel free to edit away. I don't own most of these dolls, so I was just going on picture comparisons and comments to figure out what eye sizes worked best on each doll. Wigs I just generalized to what everyone sort of agrees on, since it seems to depend on the owner and wig maker.

 

Shushu also has an Elf/Elf Vampire release (one head Elf, the other head sleeping Elf vampire) and the two tan releases are different colours, which is probably worth a mention.

But otherwise, good job!

As far as the tan releases go, do you mean the Luts release vs the FL release?

 

yes!! we both wound up taking a huge hiatus from the hobby. i've always wanted to transfer all the info to the DoA wiki so thank you for undertaking that!

 

I'm so excited the chloe I bought will soon be here, she's just having a faceup and then she will arrive, just need a name for her, can't wait!!!!

Yep, exactly that. The Luts releases were a darker tan than the FL releases and obviously were only for the B-Line.

IIRC, there was Tan Lishe, El, Shiwoo (and the Siwoo randomness) and Soo from Luts for sure. They didn't have any Luts Tan releases from Shushu (no tan for her or Ruth) onwards except for the Siwoo.

Teapartyrevolution has some great comparison shots, this one has both Luts Tan Lishe and FL Tan Lishe on the right.

BTW. Loving everyone's Risse's. The NF looks like a Chloe/Luka baby to me, actually. Which is horrible, because now I wants it and I didn't buy anything during that event because I didn't like the promo pics

No problem. I figured you two had needed a break. It seems it's the same with the other wiki I found that had all the event links. They've been away since after the New Years event this year.
Thanks for all your hard work on your wiki. It definitely made updating the DoA one much easier.

Ok, that's what I thought you meant. The Luts tan event was already mentioned at the top of the Minifee wiki when I started, including which sculpts Luts did, apparantly, so when I started working on the wiki all I had to do was just build onto it with the new info on FL's tan event.

I've added a little extra line about the color difference between the two sculpts for clarity.

I love karsh so much, I need one to be a brother for my MNF kyle, I think they have similar enough features for that to be possible.

 

yeah chiwoo had sort of an egyptian fullset with the tan iirc? i don't think DES was released in tan with luts (or shushu, like somebody had said before?)

wow, thank you for putting in that time! it's been needing an update and personally I'd love to see pictures added like on Mendo's site.
i checked on the few I could actually comment on, especially Ruth since there are so few active Ruth owners.... I don't know if it's just mine but his eye wells are not good for 12mm eyes at least not rounds ones, they gap badly. So I added a comment about it.

Also I'll double check but I don't think DES could ever wear 12mm unless it's maybe ovals which I can't verify.

 

I came late to the party! Yeah, I did meant the darker tan - I tend to call it "tanning" since that's how it's referred to in the old documents and the newer "Tan" from fairyland.

DES was released in the tanning colour, but only as a Delf. The MNF were Chiwoo, "Siwoo", El, Lishe and Soo; while the Delfs were Lishe, Shiwoo, Chiwoo, El and DES.

I didn't add pictures since their were database threads for nearly all the sculpts. I wouldn't be opposed to pictures, but I think it'd be good if we could do some photo comparisons of eye sizes for each sculpt in the Minifee Eye Size Comparison Thread and then link the pics from there into each sculpt's page in the wiki. So far that thread only had two sculpts done, and one of them has had all the photos removed from it.
Or people could post comparison pics directly into the wiki for each sculpt if they'd prefer, but I think the thread would be good for discussing further info about each sculpt's tendancies when it comes to the different kinds of eyes.
I would do some for Juri 08, but my iPhone camera is no good at capturing her beautiful face, let alone her eyes, very well. My DSLR is still on the wishlist.

Was "Siwoo" essentially the same sculpt as Shiwoo? Whoever first wrote the intro the wiki listed Shiwoo. I changed the Luts terminology to "tanning". I'd heard it called that before, but wasn't certain. I think it'll be helpful for newbies who are trying to learn all the many terms in this hobby.
