Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 46

Jul 14, 2014

    1. ahh, Mochi got new pants and shoes today! for anyone who's curious they're yosd shoes off taobao. I just made sure to check the measurements on em before I ordered. they're a snug fit cause of how chubby her feet are but I think they look really cute!

    2. @CuriousRaven: She looks adorable! I especially love that TS and wig color combo you got going! <3

Maiza is so ADORABLE! I'm surprised how much I like Celine without her eye modded (as I intended to do with her, because an eye mod is what made me want her...).
And she poses like a dreeeaaaaam! * A*

    3. Your FS Mnifee Shushu has a beautiful face. I am still trying to decide which minifee to get and Shushu is very pretty.

    4. thank you! :) there is an obvious solution (getting ALL of them)... :D

i'm glad you like him! :) i'm partial to him as well hehe seorin is my favorite boy sculpt :)

    5. To add onto the boy spam, here's one of my two MNF boys. Jura is a Luka, obviously :)

    6. Congratulations on all the shipping notices!

So excited as we're getting closer to the orders for Mika and Mir, can't wait to see them!

    7. Yay, I knew I could count on you to say Chloe VE too ;)
DO IT - GET HER NOW !!!
What a great looking crew of Shiwoos !
Someone still has a smirk on his face ;)

All my girls (except Falyn, who wears 14mm makos, which are smaller than average) wear 12mm eyes ...
I do but I can't spam twice so here's a like to my Mirwen with a JID: https://www.flickr.com/photos/mousesnook/sets/72157641273008404/

I hit the jackpot and got Calliope's wig for Kaedra - she is NOW the character she was meant to be. (when she wears her old strawberry blond wig, she will be the character everyone has previously known her as - she's just gonna get a name change ... confusing, I know)

    8. Ban, your girls always have the most in scale things! Those hoop earrings look amazing, and they're so realistic.

    9. Shuckies, thanks - they are just jewelry wire. I wrapped them around a dowl to get the right size ;)

    10. CuriousRaven, Do you have the link of the shop please ?? ^^

    11. Do you have any idea where I can buy a mohair wig for my minifee Chloe?

    12. For my first post, I guess I'll show everyone my Juri :) she is very yellow compared to her body BUT STILL CUTE!

    13. Hi all ! I've seen on Flickr that someone have received the event spring head. Did someone here have this head ? I'm happy to have ask Fayriland if I can get the soony head instead of the spring head as I don't really like her mouth ^^

    14. Try Dearmine, their medium size is a perfect fit! Example of a bubblegum pink one:

Emmaline got her wig from HaselsAesthetics on Etsy :) she needs a wig cap but when it's on its fabulous!

    16. thanks so much FlamingStar129! the hair color was quite by accident as it was just a wig that I bought on a whim and ended up being hers! :) Your Maiza's hair/eye combo are also quite lovely. I want a redhead of my own but it just hasn't happened yet.

Mylene, I got the shoes from IDOLLZOO, they have a lot of really cute items! For those specific shoes they still have the blue, maroon, and white. You can find them here: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=37662548923. I'm honestly tempted to get me pairs in the other colors since they break down to around $11.42 before shipping. ^^

    17. narcisse do you have a link to this pic on flickr? I am really curious about how this head looks on owner's pic.

    18. I just had to share this pic of Yumi I was editing as I actually really love it even though her wig is a mess/askew (slightly NSFW);

    19. I don't know if I can share I picture I don't own but you can see her in a trade on the dolls arrivals forum

Link : http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=636504 (hope it works)
Just look on the photo of blank head and you will see her

    20. Welcome to DOA and the MiniFee thread. Your Juri is very cute. :)

I'm confused. Is it the Sarang head you're talking about? Anyway Fairyland only have one set of event gifts available at one time. So for the current event the only MiniFee head is Juri 2014 also named Soony Elf.

There are some of the Sarang heads around - like this one.

    21. I'm talking about the spring event head (which was in May) I've ordered a MNF and a pukifee at this period and was eligible for the spring event head. But when I've seen the juri 2014(soony elf) I've ask Fayriland if I can get the soony elf head instead of the spring head and they say yes (hope i'm clear this time :) )

    22. Oh then I understand. Thank. :)

I haven't been around for a few months so I missed that event intirely. I like the head but Soony Elf is adorable. (I'm getting one with the two new MNF bodies I just ordered for my Siean Elf and my Sarang head. It never stops! :doh )

    23. Can some one help me please. I wanted to change the lower leg of my mnf M line body. The magnet part should that come of? It is stuck in there pretty well should I just pull it out the the ankle part or is that glued on. I don't want to break it of by accident.

    24. Lillyroos - You are talking about the magnetic ankle part right? You should be able to pull it out. It's hooked to the string which is under a lot of tension, but it should still be able to come out.

I know I'm late, but Celine is my favorite minifee! I also love Chole, Mirwen boys, and Woosoo. Miyu is now a favorite as well. Hmm.. I think my next minifee might be a Mirwen boy...but I need him to be tan! Fairyland don't tease me like this!

    26. Stokiaci Yes the magnet ankle part. Thank you so much. I needed to be sure it was not glued on.

    27. I thought I heard mirwen? I did, I did ;)

I redid the wig.....its better, but still need some practise more.

    28. OMG I just did it :dance. I restrung her leg. I have to say tacking of the magnet part is so hard. Just not being scarred helps a lot.

livelaughlove7 I don't own a A line body yet. I would love to own one some day. Simply because I love the way it looks more then the M line body. I'm hoping in FairyLand's next event there will be a tan fullset on a A line body :)

    29. I like both bodies, but I find posing the mline easier than the aline. Probably, because my first minifee was on the mline and that's what I got use to playing with. While the posing is similar, the bodies tend to move a bit differently.

    30. That's hard to answer as I'm sure it's more than a little subjective ... I know most people who have the model legs say they pose better than the cutie legs but I had a terrible time with my one girl who had them. I don't have a Moe line but I HAVE come across 2 people who say they like the A-line better.
So, you are not alone ;)

      Here's another shot of Kaedra
[IMG]The Real Kaedra by ban sidhe, on Flickr

    31. That's kind of them. When I asked if I could change my event head from Juri 13 to Nanuri 14 they refused. *_* Said it wasn't possible due to managerial issues.

    32. the m-line is cute, but i prefer posing the a-line. i like the tiny bit of shift the a-line hips have. a lot of the tiny things i like about the a-line are things i've seen other people dismiss about it though, or just outright not like it. they pose roughly the same and i can pretty much get all the same poses out of either one, but i can get poses out of the a-line a lot smoother than i can with the m-line (which could also just be chalked up to practice). and i have a strong dislike for the mag feet. actually the difficulties/irritations i have with the m-line are the same with the c-line, but i love that the c-line has the long lanky limbs that can give me some great poses.

that is the a-line body doing the poses from the m-line promo when it was released. i wrote up a post about the m-line's posing here a while back (with similar pics as this but with the m-line).

    33. Yes this is really kind ! They said me yes but they will consider my order like placed at this period instead of May much more waiting but I don't really care ;)
How much time did pass between juri13 and nanuri14 ? Maybe it was too much time ?

    34. Weeeee! She's finished and will be on her way home soon!

      Photo belongs to culur faceups

    35. she looks very pretty. is her bottom lip modded smaller or is that the original size?

    36. thank you :) no, that's the original size.

    37. FlamingStar129, your Celine is so gorgeous! Where did you buy her wig from? I love the style!

    38. mendokusai!! I LOVE your minifee's style!!! I've always really loved that cute and casual look! She's sooo pretty though!! :D I also love that pose in that last picture LOL!! It's so sassy. I could just imagine her, like, walking down a stage with her hips moving out side to side each step, and her fingers snapping with bass-ey music building in the background  :XD:

    39. hehehehe thank you! :) she's pretty out of character in those pics but i don't have many clothes in the style she's supposed to have, so she gets stuck wearing whatever i feel like putting her in sometimes lol she's meant to be more business-like or not quite so girly.

it is a pretty sassy pose haha it's the sort of pose i usually do with one of my other minifees in particular, though i don't normally go through the trouble of standing her on one foot for it. i usually just stand her with the ankles crossed.

thank you for such a nice comment! :)

    40. hello would anyone mind posting pics of shiwoo in some different eye sizes?

    41. Thanks so much! I actually bought the wig off the marketplace and cut it. XD;;
Not sure she'll keep that wig though. C:

    42. Nice use of the scissors then! I'm going to have to try doing that myself because a wig with a cut like that is so hard to find D:

    43. mendokusai, I agree! Your girl looks fantastic! I have to ask, how difficult was it to get her to stand on one foot? I feel like my girl is SO kicky that she could never do that. haha

    44. She is talking about the NF spring head which was not given a real name by FL :) it was released after Sarang

In other words, I got my grail dollie in a few days ago! Celestia is back in town!!

    45. I had that name for a Sailor Moon character once. Was Usagi's cousin. LOL. Very lovey Chloe!

    46. i think i've done it so often that it's not much trouble? one of my dolls actually stands best on one foot (supia minisup yan) so i think at this point it's almost easier for me to stand dolls on one foot than on two lol but i had my husband help me take some really quick and possibly redundant phone pics:

balancing mnf on one foot by mendøkusai, on Flickr

what i do when standing mnf on one foot, is first i put them in the pose i want before even setting them down. then when i stand them, i push down on their feet so they flatten out, then hold the feet down while i tilt the rest of the body around bit by bit until i find a happy balancing spot (if you're doing this with an m-line, you might have to support the ankle piece to avoid the mag feet popping loose). if you have problems with kicky legs, you can just spread your fingers out to support the legs and keep them from bending. one of my fingers here is supporting her ankle, not cuz of kicky legs but because i wanted to keep her leg in that spot.

if you don't feel comfortable having them on just one foot alone, you can use the toes of the other foot to help balance like i did here and it still pretty much looks like they're just on one foot.

hopefully that helps and makes sense??

    47. This is what I do too! I'm a first time MNF mommy and this makes me glad that someone else does it the same way, because my girl can barely stand on one foot and I thought I was doing something wrong xD Really glad she's an a-line though, as I can see what a pain the m-line would be with the magnet feet >_<

    48. Is it a common problem to have the m-line feet pop off? I only ask because mine don't come off unless I intentionally pull them off. The only problem I have with them is that they get stuck in shoes.

    49. you can do it!! just takes practice and a good amount of patience :) especially if you try it on carpet lol

    50. Yeah, carpet makes posing so much harder >__>;

    51. Oh my, never tried carpet and I don't plan to xD

    52. haha yus........ :| lol

    53. PuffyPuffers your girl is just beautiful.

Finally got around to taking a picture of my Breena (Juri 08) in her summer clothes.

    55. lol! yeah. I usually dig into the ground or bring something to put underneath though just to avoid grass stains.

    56. Ainè: Lily is fantastic - tan AND Rena (a sculpt we don't see enough of)!

Congratulations on the switch! Both of those event heads are darling, I'm glad you were able to get the one you wanted. Thanks for the link to the May event head too! I'd just been looking for photos and couldn't find any :)

Kacha: Oh she's beautiful - hope she returns home to you quickly!

Jura is so handsome Wennie. I love Lukas.

Welcome to the thread! Your girl is adorable - what's her name?

    57. Just chiming into the posing discussion. I love the M-Line. I had an A-Line at one time but I think it was poorly strung and I didn't feel confident in just letting her stand on her own. With my M-Line I leave her standing for days and never worry about her falling over. I adore the tiny feet, I have no problems whatsoever in balance or stability with them.

I know I've posted this picture before but maybe it will help:

Granted, she doesn't have a head here or clothes but all of these poses were ridiculously easy to get in. Max 10 seconds to find a balance point.

Here are some more posing shots with a head:
      https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3795/12210566523_6df5024997_c.jpg

Stokiaci : The feet on mine never just pop off, but like you said they do get stuck in shoes T_T I almost ruined one pair struggling to get her feet out of them.

    58. Whoa, the posability is amazing! How did you get her to stand on one leg? That's great balance :O I'm impressed!

    59. All these photos of the posing make me so impatient to get my first minifee! I want an A line with model legs I think :-)

    60. Honestly it's the stringing. FL stringing is so unreal, I don't know how they do it, some kind of magic. I wanted to felt a smaller bust for this girl but I won't even look for one because I don't want to unstring her. Once the stringing is on point I feel like the body will settle into any position pretty easily. I've even left her standing on one foot overnight. The only pose that gave me any real trouble is the bottom right one in the link. That was difficult to get into but once I found the balance point it held steady.
