Could I get some tan beauties spam? Since my brain has settled on the fact that tan gives my character that final pizazz, I'm craving every picture I can find!

 

I am ordering a m-line Chloe. Though, when she gets here, she will be put onto my current a-line and my Ryeon will have the m-line body.

I had originally wanted to order an a-line boy too for my Nanuri 2013 head I have at home, but that is going to have to wait until next month (or the next event, not sure yet). Maybe that order will be two bodies for both of the event heads.

 

The wait is a killer so I'm gonna try to get her directly from Fairyland. It's still quite a wait but a bit less than DDE for sure!

My Rin is on her way home to me. It was my first Fairyland order I'm not sure if I selected the rite event gifts.
I selected:
Event 1 (which are the bow and gloves)
Event 2 (I got the quiver because my order was above 650)

Is this correct? Or did I miss a event head. I thought you had to order above 850 to get a head.
Can some tell me please I'm getting worried I missed something.

Yep, that's correct (and yes, you got the event head if the order was above 850, I kinda kicked myself for not getting the event head when I saw owner pictures of it. After all I did order a Rin fullset so I wasnt that far from 850, especially considering you get free shipping over 800) n__n

Akara Thank you so much. I didn't know about the free shipping over 800. That's also great. I also wish I had ordered more now but it is good to know for next time. I'm still hoping Fairyland will do an other tan even or maybe a tan fullset soon.

MiyukiSetsu, Oh, you've seen the set O///O Thank you for your praise! My little Leia is getting all flustered and a bit over-cofident about all these nice things everyone keeps saying (teehee, prettiest Miyu, it's all thanks to Meepu's amazing face-up tho'!) You also asked how fast does these white skins yellow?

I had 2008 Miyu back in 2011 and she was creamy yellow. I've since parted with the doll but she is currently in the same country and she has yellowed even more. she is now _clearly_ yellow but with correct camera settings she is white in pictures : )

Leia now is 2012 head and 2013 body. Head is more yellow, but it's creamy, pretty much the perfect shade for my white skins : ). Body is not paper white anymore but clearly whiter than head.

That tiny Violin is awesome Maaru! It's exactly the right size for a Minifee Your girl has a wonderfull style, I'm a big fan of those fluffy curly wigs.

Thank you so much on the info about the BW!! That's good to know! I'll have to take extra care to try to not spend too much time with her in the sunlight! XD I wonder if the Miyu you sold that is now super yellow was kept outside a lot since you sold her? Regardless, 2008 was a long time ago so it's not super surprising that she's clearly yellow at this point. XD

 

Miyukisetsu - i'm not that paranoid over sunlight : ) my dolls have always been exposed to sunlight quite much (rather, I've not bothered to to keep them in the shade all the time) and they have not yellowed as much as you'd think. And they've always yellowed evenly : / so you don't need to be overly paranoid! Resin will yellow no matter what you do.

my old Miyu has taken maybe two shades after it left me in 2012. And when I had her se got maybe one shade darker... So it's not really much and the current owner has kept her pretty much with the same style I've kept my dolls! And i have to correct my self - it's not super yellow, it's more like some really pale yellow skin doll. I think that se is quite pretty with her current shade!

I was the one who bought this Miyu in 2013 in secondhand after that she had two owners before I bought her back. She got... Half shade darker if even that. And her previous owner (my dear friend) kept her on the shelf and took photos outside without worryin too much.

@Maaru: There were purchased on eBay, you can search for American Model 22" shoes (paul_zhangby is the seller). My girl is wearing heeled feet 8)

Finally got my Siean head back after it being modded, and also had it's faceup. I am not 100% sure if this screams Mint or not, but I do like it. Then again he is a shapeshifter so he may get some new heads. What do you think?

the size difference between JID and A-line isn't as great as I thought but I think that's because all my guys are in boots and my girls prefer being barefoot Love seeing him next to the M-line. I'd be tempted to get one for Amy as she's supposed to be petite but I'm not fond of the legs and most of the height difference is in the legs (if my memory serves) ... and then I'd have to swap torsos as well. I'm just lazy

I love minifee's with JIDs!!! It's literally the cutest pairing ever. Aria will be paired with a Withdoll boy, I really hope that pairing will be just as cute. In the meantime I'll continue to use my JID as a stand in..

And, I know this is late..but I love the BW resin. It's such a beautiful color. I think I've had Aria 7-8 months and she's still quite white. I keep her out of the sun as much as possible. However, Aria is the doll I take everywhere so I'm sure she's has mellowed a bit. Maybe, it's just not noticeable.

crazykimochi Pommie looks lovely in her new outfit! Your girls are always so well dressed~ And ahh I'm glad it arrived so quickly (a day early!), your Zephii looks great in it! (Aha sorry, I mistakenly thought it was for Pommie;; Zephii totally rocks it though! )

 

I have a MNF boy paired with a WD boy, and they do make a very cute pairing indeed! The WD boys are so tall, but still fit proportionately with MNFs; I'll hopefully post pictures if his head ever gets here.

The soft colors in Aria's faceup and those pale blue eyes are an amazing complement to the BW resin, she's absolutely lovely! (As are everyone else's dolls, I'm just more a habitual lurker most places, especially since my only MNF is headless until FL finally ships my order.)

Gah... I've been so unhappy with my dollies lately. :/ What do y'all do when you feel like you're in a slump?

It's happened to me a couple of times, I just kind of let them sit there while I try to figure out what is not making me happy. Is it the faceup, the hair, her clothes .... Then if I can pin point it I change that aspect my first doll is a Chloe and I fell out of love with her default faceup (and I really didn't love the one I commissioned either and at the time I was too scared to do it myself) but I sat down and did her faceup myself and I think she is gorgeous!!! I also stopped dressing her in overly poofy dresses which I think she thanked me for. Hope it helps you!!

I have no Miyu to spam, sorry! But I know how you feel! Personally I just let my dolls sit in their boxes if I don't feel like playing with them. It happens once in a while, sometimes it lasts for a week, other times for months. I still look at pictures and search for pretty clothes and wigs for them when I feel like it. And then one day I feel inspired again, and things go back to normal. I usually end up selling a doll or two, perhaps buy a new one. For awhile now I feel like I have been almost leaving the hobby, feeling very uninspired. But once in awhile the spark is back, and I love it! So I hang in there, sort of

Ooh, that does help a little bit. I've been trying to figure it out. XD I think I'm also just irritated that I can't figure it out. Part of me wants to scrap everyone and redo, but that's silly. I know that if I got rid of them I'd regret it. I should probably just take a step back and stop focusing on it. I DO know that Sojie needs something done about his body. Boy mnf bodies are so irritating. Haha. Hmm... is it ever possible for someone to have too many dolls? XD

Yeaaaaaaah, I've been on a bit of a mini hiatus lately. I got a tiny spark, but now I'm like 'meh' again. I should probably let them be and sit for a bit.
