Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 44

For people wanting flats for M-line, the Dianna Effner 13" Princess flats here are pretty much a good fit, not perfect but not so big they look daft. I bought 4 pairs and only one was slightly bigger on her foot than the others, and I think with socks they'd be perfect.

 

Thanks I haven't bought any shoes yet as my girls body just came in today!!! I had some old yo shoes that are a tight fit but they work for now. Thanks for your help

I have a question for those of you with BW dolls...how fast do they tend to yellow? I'd really like for my Chloe to be BW but I'm concerned about her yellowing quickly. Basically I'm really just wanting to hear personal opinions/experiences. XD

Miyukisetksu: I have a WS doll, she has mellowed quite nicely, she's now almost 2 and unless she's next to a new WS she just looks a lovely shade of cream which I personally love!

Beka - Thank you!! I keep going back and forth...I really really love the WS but I'm so paranoid about the yellowing. XD I think I'll probably go for it, though!

 

So JID looks good with MNF. I'm still looking for a Ken Masters for my Michelle.

Mine doesn't have them either but I love the childish look it gives her she's super cute!

Umm.. are you familiar with anime and manga? hahaha that's what I tried to go for with my Ante!
I did have Lu on the m-line body for a bit while she waited for her real body and I think it still looked pretty cute. Given.. she does look a bit more mature.

 

lol yea i love anime ... i guess with Sophie i was trying to go with more of a plain-jane kind of look more than cute? maybe i need to add a little bit more to the faceup? thats why i was thinking i might add the lashes (very short though)

Yep, the BW colour is really very nice! When it does yellow it becomes a nice ivory colour. I'd say it's a beautiful colour new and yellowed.

Also, I find the colour of pastels comes out really beautifully on BW dolls.

I've had nothing but good experiences with WS though. Even as it yellows it just sort of becomes mellow and creamy which is actually really super nice and a lot more realistic! My best tip though? Buy all the extras right away. Get all the hands and extra feet because I've found a lot of people don't think they want them or don't want to spend the extra money right then but it's really frustrating to match skintones later when that new pair of hands you have is paper white and the body and head are a beautiful creamy tone. And if you blush them you have to worry about the blush coming off all the time and it's very stressful.

Thanks for the tip! I was thinking about that too - I always hear about people getting frustrated with having to match colors, so I was already budgeting/planning on buying the extras at the same time, luckily! XD

 

I really wish there was a way to get the full package Risse in an m-line body. If you could I would have instantly bought her.

I agree with SmoteyMote about buying all the parts at once because I purchased some #9 hands for Bambi this year and it looked like she was wearing white gloves X____X; They've been 'suntanning' for about 6 months now (given, they only see sunlight maybe half the day) and are about halfway there, lolol~

CrazyKimochi LOL awwww poor thing, I can just barely notice the difference! Luckily it's not the other way around and you don't have to lighten them. @_@ That'd be a problem. How long have you been working on darkening them??

 

Yeah get all your WS in one order. I blush things that don't match my only FL WS doll, and also try to get them into the sun for aging them a bit.

 

Just about 6 months! I received the hands a little after Christmas and they've been sitting at my window since~ My friend suggested that I put it on my car's dashboard, but I'm afraid of them melting, lol! Texas sun can be pretty harsh! @_@

It's my first time owning a white skin doll so thank you for sharing how they yellow! I think they are beautiful at any skin tone! I'm actually quite excited to see how my dolls will change!

 

Argh tell me about the hands. I'm lucky in that when I bought my VE Chloe I got two pairs with her and managed to find a pair that matched. She's still missing two pairs but I got 6, 3 and 4 and I'm waiting on a pair of 9 hands which I'm going to have to do what crazykimochi is doing. x.x I should have gotten the high heeled feet the seller offered to sell with her also. :< I didn't think I'd want them at the time.

But I think even with NS getting all the hands is a good idea, just not as extreme as with BW. Getting old event heads matching parts is a pain! XD

But it is true that white dolls tend to suffer more than gils in normal skin!

Kaii Are you maybe looking at Luts' website?? They used to sell MNF and they broke off from Fairyland, so Fairyland is doing their own thannnggg. Here's the link to their website!

It's been about four years since I stopped looking at bjd, but I'm starting my first proper job soon (I've been at uni) and suddenly dolls look affordable. Well, sort of!

MiniFee Chloe is catching my eye right now, but I always did love WooSoo girls... Also Rena is really pretty, I'd not seen her before!

 

Kaii Ugh I know that feeling, I had to leave the hobby for about 4 years cause I was just flat out broke. XD It's nice to be able to spend a bit of money on a hobby again! I'm gonna grab myself a MNF Chloe here soon, too! Have you seen the Moe line bodies? They're so cute >3<

yup, anything you put in your cart from them counts to your total, dolls, wigs, shoes even face protectors if you just need an extra buck or two...

 

I think I want an M-line Rin..... I kinda like her.. a lot. Oh, no....

 

Thanks! I'm ordering through DDE, but needed like 30-40 more to get the Minifee head, and I much prefer it to the LTF one since I don't have a LTF (yet).

 

Have you got hands/feet? Maybe even shoes? Clothes? Eyes? Or did you find something? I wanted the head too, and ended up buying her a body. I did that when I had my Chloe. (I want another now...)

 

HAHA, I added 6 pairs of hands for MNF, 2 for my PKF, the magnet feet for my current A-line and the M-Line. I don't get sleeping heads or company faceups, so that costs less for the doll itself. :P I'm going to be placing my order tomorrow, but I hit right at $660 with the pukifee outfit. Going to make sure it all equals out, but now that I know that anything from Fairyland works toward the total, I am pretty sure I will be good.

Now just to sit down for the VERY long wait.
