'08 Juri's always make me smile. She has such a happy and lovely face!

Sen and I are having a lazy day, where she sits around looking pretty and I do my homework and clean the house. I ordered some Mako eyes and a new wig for her. It's been only two days but I'm already tired of waiting -.- Especially the eyes! Must have eyes!

 

Spring break was waaaay busier than I anticipated so my Juri '11 gal is still without faceup.

I think she's keeping the teal and black wig but I really like her in this brown long wig too. It gives her a totally different appearance!

 

I haven't spammed in a while, but these two just got their new eyes in~

An MNF is at the top of my list but as far as I can tell the only way to get a shushu (for example) is to go a la carte... As I'm looking for my first doll I want to her one with a face up but I can't find photos of the default face ups. It says on the website "please refer to the official photographs". Thank you! It's never too late for tan Shushu spam. I'm thinking maybe I'm not in love because she is a tan Chloe, and I should have picked a different sculpt. I love her body and the tan, but I can't seem to find an eye/wig combo that makes me head over heels for her.

Wow! She's lovely! I saw your other girl and I think they make great sisters. Vitta Vera does such awesome work. Congrats!

 

If you look at the full packages it will show you photo's of them with default face up's. Sometimes Flickr will have some but those are usually harder to find.

I am debating going ahead and ordering my Minifee Rheia now or later...I know who she is, and I have to figure out which head can be Ken Masters, even if he's a younger Ken Masters...

 

Rynn007 yay so you picked Rheia? I really think she would work best for your character ^_^ ya know I think those new Luts MDFs with the beefy body would be a good Ken hahaha!

De-lurking to say I've ordered one (Avalanche). When he gets here, I will see how he sizes up next to my MNF girls. I didn't order the beefiest body--I went for the leaner one.

 

Yeah I've been wondering too. I wouldn't want the beefier body either personally. I can't wait to see some with mnf

 

Wow! Those eyes are stunning! I think they look even but if you want to be beyond fussy the left eye could move a bit left (her proper left not mine). Or her right eye move left. It could also just be the shadowing and hair though

+1 to see the mdf next to mnf girlz been lurking all around abadon in times when he was only a senior and now I am all so excited about this new lineup.

stupid question - what you guys use for eye putty? I pretty much liked nude toned putty from Dollmore, but now it is over and I don't see it anymore on their website I've tried Jovi but it make me nuts taking the eyes off - it sticks to the head and there are always those tinie little bits remain that are hard to get out. I got a few Mako eyes for my dear Mee recently, but can't even try them on (((

 

I use silicone earplugs, the clear ones. Cheap and work like a charm

DITTO!!!!!!!!! be careful though they can eat acrylic eyes. but glass and whatever the heck eyes such as enchanted eyes are made out of is no problem.

 

Yep, and make sure the brand you get is pure silicone, not the ones with aloe added! I went to THREE different CVS stores to try to find silicone earplugs, and all of them had aloe. :/ Hubby finally took me to a Walgreen's and Mack's Silicone Earplugs were right there in the aisle.

 

I'm probably the one person who doesn't like Silicone plugs I find they lose their stickiness too fast for me..... I'm not sure what it is exactly, but I like using what Lu from Captured in glass sent me like 14 baggies of when I ordered a lot of eyes from her.

 

I haven't liked the silicone plugs much either :/ There's some putty I have that I like a lot too that I'm not sure where it came from XD but I find the blue poster tack works pretty well for being sticky enough but not too sticky.

I haven't posted in a while, been spending more time with the big OT boys but here's my boy Corvin

 

had the exact opposite problem. they're so sticky and leave residue behind! such a mess <_< (hold the eye really well though, unlike every other putty I've tried.)

 

Those smooshy erasers you get from serious art supply stores work pretty well too, but they're more expensive
(last FOREVER however. When they get less sticky you just wad it all up and knead it a bit and presto! sticky again)
