i have so many different threads i subscribe to that if i miss seeing them lock i can sometimes go days before i clue in that i'm missing one! that's the problem with having so many different dolls

oh, yay, an open eyed Marcia! I just now bought an open eye marcia. squee! it is serendipity! squeee! Nora is gorgeous!

 

At last, I finally have a minifee to share in this discussion ^_^ sadly she doesn't have a mnf body just yet (I've borrowed one from my Serendipity Alice), but I'm very proud of her faceup.



Her name is Cherry, she's one of the original MNF sculpts that was offered by LUTS years ago, with the odd name 'my choice 7'. Poor thing has been sitting in a box all that time! Now I just need a MNF body, some eyes and wig that actually fits...

 

I have a #7 too, do you know how very rare they are? Vienna says hello to Cherry!

I honestly have no idea Sher, I've been away from the hobby for a good 5 years! Lots of stuff has happened that I'm slowly finding out about ^^; Vienna is lovely though! Cherry will be pleased to meet her, when she's gotten over how grumpy she is over her body situation...

 

there are like... 5 of them around. maybe 7. THAT IS RARE!!woot!!

I love how they look like pouty teenagers.

 

WOW I didn't think they were very popular at the time, but that's not many at all! I'm glad I never sold mine... ehehe I think being grumpy is part of their charm XD I'm hoping to get a MNF Ryeone because she also has the same big eyed look, but with a more smiley face. They should balance each other out.

 

I hope everyone is having a good Sunday! I'm having such a blast with my girl. Still trying to think of a name :P

I will probably hot glue, or tape, the magnets on top of the head under the wig. I was thinking I'd probably have to put the magnets on then make a wig cap so it'll fit around the magnets and the nogging. What do you guys think?

Thank you guys very much!! I taught myself to sew by making clothes for my boys and girls, so it is lovely to hear such complements. Yes, my Chloe is a modded sleeping head and my tanned girl is a Rheia, indeed. I really love that tan and would love to have more.
And your Siean boys is gorgeous, Shuklyah.

She is such a cutie, also! Seems like your girls already have a nice collection of clothes and accessories to mix and match^^

I have a soft spot for Woosoos. I really like the combination of purple hair with minty-tuquoise eyes - it really pops!

I remember the 7s! At that time, I wasn't very interested in them (and planned to only own 4 dolls, ) but now I love seeing them! I love their grumpy face and how you did the gradient of the eyeshadow.

I love Rheia boys! Since you sai yours is ooc, he will still change his look quite a bit? I'm interested in what else you do with him (although I like him already!)

I think maybe you don't even need to make a special wig cap if you're using a silicone one - they are stretchy, so it should probably still fit? Vanareya looks very pretty. I love her faceup and her blue-purple eyes. Sorry if I'm wrong - is she painted by PropertyoftheUchiha?

 

Hey mnf lovers!

I've been doubting about the size of eyes to use for my MNF Rheia. She is currently wearing some old 16mm I had lying around, but they are way to big and create a gap on the side, as seen below. I'm in doubt between 12mm or 14mm and would like to request some comparison pictures of Rheia's with 12 and 14mm eyes if possible! It would really help me out

Haha thank you! Hmm, OOC as in he's not one to show off his body buuut maybe I'll take more anyway because it's nice to look at hee hee. And I was super proud of the body blushing. Hopefully it's last for at least a while.

I like the pupil size of the 12mm but the white is never enough to fill. If you could get a custom order somewhere I think it would look really nice. :T I will eventually look into that but right now my boys are getting makeovers.

I see alot of people use Mako eyes for their dolls in 12mm. Are they a good fit or do they have a gap aswell?

I would use 14mm personally from Mako as their iris size runs smaller than most. I've seen people use 12mm and it just looks very small to me, but it's preference of course!

Sienimies: I've seen Hui on Instagram! He's adorable. His hair and face-up are perfect.

Here's my lil egghead Celine. I'm waiting on two custom wigs for her and my Sarang. I tried to make one here in the style that I wanted and it just didn't come out as planned. I still like it though.

 

Today is full of awesome dolly happenings! I had an OT doll arrive home, found out that my Sarang and her moe body are before shipping, and my tan Rheia's little sister arrived home. Now I just need to send her off for an eye opening and faceup!

I think it was somebody in this thread said they loved Marcia's big bug eyes. I giggled at that, and got to thinking that a good name for Marcia would be Musetta. For you BUFFY the vamp slayer fans, Musetta is the actress who played Natalie French, the preying mantis teacher who almost mated with (then ate) Xander. Buffy saved the day with bat sonar, which makes their nervous system go kablooey, and she was then able to kill the monster before xander was harmed.



I'm also trying not to freak out because the tracking on ANOTHER doll (yeah, yeah, I know, I KNOW) is stuck at March 20th in NYC, incoming from Canada. I guess it's stuck in customs (??) -- which happens. But usually if I know it's gotten to NYC, I get it 2 days later - as in, Saturday - and it hasn't moved and I still haven't gotten it. Trying not to freak out..........

they keep changing the layout of flcikr. despite many many complaints about it, they seem convinced their new look is better. a lot of people went over to ipernity but ipernity confuses me... but if flickr keeps this up, more people will BAIL

 

Agreed. New Flickr is pretty awful, I think I'm going to have to find another place for my photos... but since I'm avoiding Flickr I'll have to rely on this this thread for Minifee spam, so keep the pretty pictures coming!
