Yea, i know its doing that o.o i only used it to get rid of the marks, i think there may have been something on the brush that caused it, i did more pastels and its coming off easily with just the nailpolish remover, and i've only done it once.
I'm about to order some MSC this weekend though so i'm probably not doing it again.

Hey all!

I've got a question, to those of you who have horns and such on your MNFs. How are your magnets in? Did you mod their heads? Just glue the magnets in the head/cap without removing any resin? Glue the magnets on top of the head?

I'm curious since I want a doll with horns, and would like to know what I might need to do.
I won't be getting a head with the magnet spots already inside.

Karter: I just taped them to my dolls headcap and put a wig cap over that and then the wig on top.

My advice would be to hide them under the wig, that's what my friend does for all her dolls that need magnets but don't have spots for them

So, I took an unintentional hiatus from the BJD hobby and am just now getting back into it :3
Meet my lovely girl!

 

So I feel like I need to restring my Rena. She's soo loose compared to my other 2 girls.

 

I second Hyperion's point - magnets under the wig work great. My friend's SD boy has massive horns and she just tucks the magnets under the wig and sticks the horns on. It works great!

 

I use a (museum quality) ph neutral/acid free archival masking tape meant for mounting photos, to tape the magnets to my girls headcaps. Not sure about it long term, but so far (for a year) there's been no gummyness, stickiness or damage to the resin. It's actually black so it looks awful under their wigs, haha. I researched quite a bit before I did it and found nothing advising against doing it - well really no info at all.

I'm too scared to superglue anything to my girls' heads, and I tried just slipping a magnet under their wigs but the placement was always too inconsistent and frustrating to get perfect. Also with heavier horns or ears - in my case - they would pull away from the headcap and make the wig sag or just slip off, but ymmv, of course!

 

I can't remember if I have ever shared this picture, but I love how it came out. Does anyone know how many pixels should be in the image for sharing here ? I'm not sure, and I don't want to get in trouble for putting up images that are to large.

i have a question though. i'm debating spoiling my girls with a pair of the ttya "real skinny jeans" to share, but i'm not sure which size would fit better the msd or the unoa - and they are too expensive to just guess. i tried asking directly but never heard back so i guess they don't know. so i was hoping someone here would have tried them on their girl.

 

All TTYA jeans fit Minifees. In the description it says that they fit Minifee specifically. My friend has one and we've tried it on on our Minifees and my regular MSD. Both fit very well! Though on a Minifee it stands open a bit on the top. But a belt can easingly fix that.

If you want to be sure they fit a Minifee you may want to go for the skinny jeans that are made with spandex so they are elastic.

 

Can't answer the size question but in my experience their Customer Service isn't good, never reply to emails and very slow on sending out goods, i wouldn't buy direct from them again..

 

the problem is there are two sizes to pick from in the real skinnys, msd and unoa and i dont know which one to pick? ( sorry i missed that in my post before) we have a pair of the regular jeans from ttya already and the fit is nice - though of course the mnfs have such a small waist that the waist is a bit loose or they couldn't move, but i wanted to try the skinny ones this time.

yes they are slow but i've bought from them a couple of times and the stuff always arrives eventually, so i go back for things like the jeans that i just can't be bothered to make.

For being quite loose, your Rena still seems to hold her poses well and looks cute in the process I felt the same with my boys today when trying to pose them for a group picture - being ~5 years older than my girls, they are quite loose by now ^^;

What a cutie! She looks a bit suprised in the pic, as if someone was taking a picture while she was explaining something and gesticulating.

I always love seeing your girls - they are all quite different and so well styled!

Oh, that's a really nice pic! I have to admit I tend to not keep the sleeping heads sleeping but mod them (and thus the dolls double >_>) but it's really nice to see them used for the original purpose!

Last month I got my second minifee. She is a tan Ante. I just LOVE HER ! I ordered her a wig two days ago. I can't wait to see her in it. I was worried she would look TO young, but after playing with her, I don't think so at all. I also think it's all in the wig though. Her face is very round, so if I put a wig on without bangs, her face seems to even out.

And here's some more spam..... This poor girl is actually my floating head. She and Chloe fight over one body. Anyhow, my minifee have their own doll collection. They can also change the wigs and such.

 

Does anyone know if they have body suits to protect from staining for minifee and where I could possibly get one?

Speaking of photo..a few of the girls were out today and gathered for an impromptu group shot. Here is Harlow(Mirwen), Charly(Celine), and Riley(Chloe).

 

I don't own any ttya jeans but I DO own jeans by various makers that fit my Unoa like a GLOVE - and they are too big on my minifee. Some are big enough to just slide right off the minifee hips. So when I want minifee jeans, I just make sure I say something -- like with Brennil, I will say I need minifee please... Don't know if ttya works the same way, but it is worth a go.

I have GOT to get new pics. auughh! well in the meantime, here is a group shot...
