hmm, yes i can see a similarity. my first thought was they looked kind of like the older soul kids too, but not exactly like either. i think they may just be trying to expand the customer base they appeal to, by varying the style of their sculpts a bit. i actually like the look and think they would make really nice girls, though sadly for fairyland, i don't like them enough to bring home yet another minifee! i think my crew is quite large enough for now, or will be once we get all the faceups done

 

I will bring one of the boys home someday; as a girl.

I have a question. I always wondered why my two Chloes had different eyes. Is this Chloe the event M-head from 2010?

Sunshinejade - The Nanuri 2010 event head was an SP head mold and has elf ears and vamp teeth (if that's the one you are asking about). Most people call it the "VE Chloe" head. I have one as an example for you, although she has been modded to OE.

 

Your girl is most likely a sleepy head with the eyes modded open.

 

Omgosh those eyes just made me completely melt! What a sweetheart!

hey guys! i have a question about the new girl Risse i noticed they have an option that says "torso one piece type" i haven't seen anything about a new torso so im not sure what they are referring to? can anyone link me to or fill me in on that?

i haven't been on DOA in forever but this new girl has sucked me right back into the hobby. i love her!



EDIT: my internet is finally speeding up enough to allow me to check a few pages back. it seems no one is sure i found a link to a torso one piece but it looks like its a boys torso... ill try to keep digging but thank you in advance to anyone who could help me

 

That torso is an event piece but FL also has it for sale. They say it is compatible with (I think all?) the MNF bodies and you can buy it as an extra piece for $50 with the Risse fullset or $100 with an A-La-Carte MNF.

No, she is not modded. I received this event head when I ordered. Of course back then I didn't
have to add the event piece to the cart so there is nothing on my old order about the event head.

Well if she's not modded I'm not sure what to tell you, as there are no other Chloe event heads and it's unlikely they did a head that looks like Chloe but with slightly smaller eyes for one order. Where did you order from? Direct from FL? I assumed you bought her second hand and she possibly was modded.

I ordered from Fairyland. It was my first order with them. I went searching on their website, and I think this is the head. The picture is titled "M-HEAD (not faceplate)" but the inside my doll's head is marked "Chloe". I am trying to make accurate records for my dolls so please, is this the same head? I have a hard time identifying blank heads.

 

That isn't the same head, the left one is Juri 2010 aka 'kissing Juri'. Yours is definitely a Chloe... Maybe the eyeshape looks different because of the face-up if she wasn't modded from a sleeping head?

 

Yep, that head is Juri 2010, the same sculpt as the one in your avatar! I think the Chloe is probably as kimochi said, that the makeup is making the eyes appear smaller.

 

Um.... I just wonder, where you find the name "Chole" on your M head? On the head cap or inside the actual head.
As I remember they both have the same size head cap..... Fairyland might send the wrong head cap to you...

 

Or she switched her Chloe and Juri's? If they fit, that is.

I like him/them, looks different than the normal FL boys, and first I saw I thought it has feeling of crobidoll or something.
and smaller head in msd size, a good thing too

 

For me she's definitively a Chloe. Maybe she seems to have smaller eye's shape because of the size and the dark color of her eyeballs.

 

That's totally a Chloe. It's really hard not to recognize one .. very distinct lips

 

Nono, she's asking if the Chloe is the same as the event head, which it isn't as that is a Juri 2010. She thought the mold of her Chloe looked like the Juri (because she said she thought the eyes were smaller) but was confused because it said Chloe in the head. It's easy to get sculpts mixed up when they have similar traits. The doll with Chloe marked in is Chloe, but she also owns a Juri 2010 which is in her avatar.

sunshinejade - The doll in your photo is a Chloe, the event head you got from Fairyland is the Juri 2010 which is the one in your avatar. I'm not sure what the Juri 2010 says inside the head though.

But I also think she has a Chole and a event M head Juri 2010 which the same time as Chole fullset release. I also think she has 2 Chole head caps for those two girls since I had the same situation as Fairyland sent me the wrong cap for my event head Juri 2010.
Chole head should has both head cap and actual head named Chole.
M head should also has both head cap and actual head named Juri 2010.
But my Juri 2010 has a Chole head cap on the actual Juri 2010 head from Fairyland, since they fit perfectly fine so I just left as it is.

Maybe just she has two Chole head caps so she though she has two Chole.

Juri 2010!! I feel like an idiot! She is who I got in 2010! Chloe is marked on her headcap and head and Juri is only marked on her head. I looked at the event head and I saw Chloe never Juri. Blank heads confuse me. I look at Juri everyday and didn't see her in this head. I have two Chloes so I figured one was the event head. Now I have to figure out where the second one came from.

Thanks a million times ladies for your help. I was so confused it was driving me crazy!

Ivy changes her wig (In fact, it was 3 pm and I can't sleep soooo, I made alpaca !). I don't know if I prefer that (She's more younger) or the long alpaca wig which give to her maturity and sensuality.

It's a Leekeworld wig from an event. It was one of the mixed colored wig events and this was one of the free ones they gave me because I ordered. The Juri 11 is off getting her face painted so neither her owner nor myself can spam recent photos of her as of yet! I'd love to see more photos of the Juri 11 though. I think the sculpt makes a great boy or girl!

Thanks! They're actually Amidoji's dolls because she's the one who collects Juris in our household. (I collect Nanuris.) I'm glad I could help! I know that with event heads it is often difficult to keep them all straight. I'm rather partial to both the MNF Chloe and MNF Juri 2010 - but we have both of those in our household! I'd love to see more Juri photos!

 

I still have yet to have time to paint my (still unnamed) Juri 2011 head but I LOVE her so much!

Smotey, I adore the Juri 2011! I remember when the photos of them first came out, and everybody's reaction was pretty mixed...but predominantly against.

But I loved them from the very beginning! I think I will spend time with my Reshi today and take pictures to spread the love!

Wow, Pommie is absolutely adorable. Her faceup looks painstakingly and beautifully done. Would you mind sharing what wig that is, unless you made it yourself? It suits Pommie so perfectly. I also love how her eyeshadow compliments her hair color so subtly. She is absolutely precious.

I can't wait to see what your Juri looks like once you paint her! She has such a pretty face mold. It looks like she'll be so adorably cute when she's finished. I love that wig color!
