Does anyone know what size t-shirt to get if I wanted a crop top for a minifee?

Would littlefee fit?

 

I think a little fee T-shirt wouldn't work because it will be all round smaller. However I saw that you are in the UK, if you look at the build a bear small fry T-shirt line then they do work as a cropped T-shirt. So that might be worth a nosy at, however if that is not what your after probably your best bet is to commission someone because I have not actually seen too much stuff like that about.

 

Thank you for the warm reception everyone! I have just seen more people being vocal about distaste for hybrids over on tumblr, so I have been leery about posting them. Most of my dolls are hybrids and/or modded. My breakaway, Zephyr, is a sleeping face-plate that has had both eyes opened just slightly, and he's on a ResinSoul Li body that has been modded all to heck. It's barely recognizable. I made it into a male body, but I wanted to keep the delicate look to it. It was a kinda accidental thing. I was really thinking of either selling the body, or putting an entirely different head on it, because I didn't want to go through the trouble of trying to get my hands on a neck adapter. But Zephyr said "MINE" and, well... seeing as once I bond with a doll, I don't sell them, I made a permanent modification to be able to attach the head. Mainly, shoving a wad of quick-set epoxy putty into the neck, and grinding a slot for the S-hook. I also had to put a smaller S-hook on the body. Those of you that don't know, RS neck hooks are HUGE. I'll get some pictures of the body modifications if anyone would like to see them, but this may not be the right thread for those, as they have nothing to do with MNF. I completely rebuilt the torso joints to get more mobility out of them.

I finally managed to score a Sarang head and I am happy beyond words! My Nanuri 14 plans are going to have to take the back burner because I already know exactly what I want her to look like and have her planned out in my head!

Hi there! I'm a bit confused, sorry for my ignorance, but I was looking at pictures of Woosoo and I have a question, does "normal" Woosoo has the same face of vampire elf Woosoo? I mean, is the only difference the teeth and the ears? I've the feeling the eyes are shaped differently? Also, if we buy her a la carte with face-up, does she come with the vampire face-up, I mean, if you buy the human head does she come with the what face-up? I can only find pictures of "human" woosoo boy, not girl...

 

The girl vampire is a little different in the eyes (the boys have slightly rounder eyes) but i tihnk that's about it? o3o

I see this has already been answered but I'll throw out my 2 cents - I believe threads follow the head because that is (usually) the most recognizable part of a BJD and people go to a thread to see the sculpts they love. Does that mean people here will shun you or try to make you feel uncomfortable if you spam a MNF body with a different head ? I should hope not, there is no call for that. As I said, this is just my understanding though, I've never actually seen DOA guidelines.

Why thank you my dear I too am excited about the idea of certificates, even though they won't do me much good - I think I've reached my MNF limit. (4 bodies 6 character heads)

I ordered him just before the new year, so hopefully he won't be too much longer (month or so probably). He was actually meant to be my first doll....which did not happen...

 

This is my plan as well and I hope to make him my Juri '08 (Niche) little brother. But, I'm holding out hoping FL makes a Moe sized boy

I see, probably best looking at commissions, because the small fry shirts are that length but are loser on the dolls.

 

LittleFee/YoSD tops do fit, depending on the style, however they are not as extremely cropped as you're wanting - this is Nyne (active line large bust) wearing a YoSD/littlefee tee that I received for a different doll in a swap:

It is cropped, and actually fits really well on her, and she does wear it as a somewhat cropped top - if you had a pair of jeans to go with it that sat lower down it would be more pronounced, but yep, stretchy tees for YoSD and Littlefee do fit reasonably well

Yikes! It finally happened, one of my floating heads rolled off the table and my dog got to her. Any suggestions on how to minimize tooth marks?

 

AngelFace - oh noes!! Sorry to hear that happend ;/ I hope marks arent that bad, well I dunno, but I think maybe sanding with a very thin sanding paper?

 

Try putting the head in hot/boiling water for a minute or so. If they're dints then they may very well just pop right back (or the majority of them). I'd suggest trying this before sanding as when you start sanding this probably won't work anymore. If you do try this and it's not 100% or doesn't work at all leave the head to cool for awhile before sanding as the resin will be softened from the heat.

 

Rinoa that sounds so scary, but it's worth a try. Wish me luck!!

I got my first resin EVER in the mail today! A Juri 13 head! She is blank and just a head but OMGOSH she is a cutie pie! I need to get her a body asap Yay!

 

Yes the boiling water might help. I dropped Xyphos my MNF Karsh on her face during a photoshoot not so long ago and it cracked her MSC and detented her nose. I was really upset about it because it did look a mess, but luckily I remembered a friend telling me about the hot water trick and it popped out just fine and looks as good as new. It is well worth a try to see if it works.

I can understand how that would make you very impatient indeed.
I just feel a little like I should have somehow managed to get him earlier, since he was one of three dolls that were the first to make me go, "right, getting me on of those." (one of the others was a VE Woosoo boy)

It honestly sounds scarier than it is! I boiled a kettle and poured the water into a jar then placed the part I wanted to fix in it for maybe half a minute? (I don't even think it was that long!) and the dint just popped right back. I honestly was skeptical of this working for some reason! : I had dinted my M-Line Miyu's leg because the magnet part snapped back onto her leg funny and left a big dint at the bottom. You'd never know it was ever there now.

I wish I knew about this when I had my Serendipity Alice because I did the same thing with her arm and it has a dint there. I'm not sure it'd pop back after all this time now.
