I don't like that Rin is sold out while Tika is not. There are still dolls available so if Fairyland was sticking to their original announcement a few people would still be able to order Rin now.

 

No. For example they might only sell 150 total but that doesn't mean they both get it split down the middle. There were more Rins. She sold out first because people wanted her more. People bought all her sets. Tika still has some left because not all were bought out. It makes no sense that they'd sell out at the same time. Honestly, tika going first makes more sense since there were fewer of him, but he also isn't as popular. You always could have finished the split off yourself or did layaway.

Anyway, I'm not surprised she's gone. I know I mostly wanted her for the hooves to complete my unicorn. Not sure if I'll use her face or stick with Chloe. Grail doll completion- within a few months.

I think what they're referring to is this:

Sheep and Wolf Story Full Packages are limited to 136 packages in total, counting both Sheep and Wolf Story. The final number of the stock for both of them will be determined by the ratio of customers purchasing the Sheep and/or the Wolf. This means that if each 135 customers end up purchasing one Wolf Full package, 135 Wolf Full packages and 1 Sheep Full package would be sold.

There isn't exactly more Rins and less Tikas (though there is now, since Rin sold more), they're making them based on the numbers that sell. So if there's 4 Tikas left and no Rins technically Rin should still be available since there's 4 slots left to fill before they reach 138 total.

 

Yes, but through the course of this event we've seen that they aren't actually doing that based on numbers and people being able to add so many. Unless somehow FL meant different when they posted this or afterwards. They could change there minds or mechanically speaking it might be easier to have a set number to deduct from each.

 

What Rinoa said. 136 total fullsets, the ending ratio would be however many Rins were ordered vs. however many Tikas were ordered. Rin shouldn't show up as sold out if Tika is still showing that there are fullsets left. You should be able to order either Rin OR Tika until all 136 fullsets have sold. =/

My assumption on that is that they gave each of them a set number of stock on the website so that when they reached a certain number of orders it would auto-populate as sold out, but what they need to do is go back in and open up some more Rin fullsets until the last 4 fullsets are sold out, whether people want Rin or Tika.

This is what I thought too! I thought that they put the Rin set at a higher number just because they predicted she'd be more popular (as their girl sets tend to be!)

 

I completely agree with what's been said as far as the ratio of Rin and Tika goes but i have to say i was certain Rin would sell out very fast, i'm not in the least bit surprised which is why i secured mine before i was ready to pay, taking advantage of the 7 day grace period- even if they allow 4 more sales of Rin rather than Tika they would be gone in a flash, with such a small limited edition there are always going to be people who unfortunately miss out..

 

Do they definitely allow 7 days to pay? I thought it was only like 3?

 

Thats what I was saying in short. But considering they aren't even at work yet there's no one to fix it right now. They can't be awake 24/7. It's unfortunate for those who wanted Rin but hey, the early bird gets the worm and maybe they will fix it in time before tika is sold out. But they don't go to work for about another 3 hours.

 

Yes, it says it on the order sheet and also in the FAQ's: - "Grace period for payment is now 7 business days from the date of order placing.
Please contact the administrator prior to order placement if you require longer period."

I've paid her up now though so she's item processing, looks like i'm going to be stuck with the fantasy parts but never mind..

Yes its very good, some companies like Lati only give 3 days.

Yeah i can always find a home for them later, i think they look really lovely but i've never used the fantasy parts on a single doll i've bought (and i've had a lot LOL) so they'll just end up stuck in her box!

I'm so torn on whether I wanted the fantasy parts or not. I think it would be cool to have them for photos, but I don't have any fantasy dolls. We'll see what else FL comes out with, if anything.

In the meantime, it's snowing pretty bad here (my little tiny town was even mentioned on the news for having the most snow in the area). Thankfully Lexie's new winter coat got here just in time, along with her new outfit. Here she is all ready for the cold. Maybe I'll take her out tomorrow for some actual in snow pics.

oh wow! am I glad I rushed getting my Rin order together!

I really loved her fullset and the tan option was perfect for my character so the a la carte wouldn't have worked for me right now even if I would prefer to go down a bust size. The event doesn't hurt anything either, although I'm not sure I have any characters planned that would be an archer.

I hope it's not true that FL purposely sidelines the DDE orders. I would think at least part of the delay would be FL waiting to fulfill the whole order before shipping, and with the way they seem to cast in size batches might hold that up.

 

Oh wow! Tika is now sold out! I wonder if these are the fastest selling pair of Fairyland dolls? They were just released last week! I'm glad I didn't wait too.

I don't think FL purposely sidelines orders, at least the ladies at DDE have never said as much. The issue is, they send in orders of multiple different sizes of dolls, and then FL does each size in big batches, so if they've done all the MNF orders for one of DDEs orders but haven't started on the LTFs yet, that will hold up the whole DDE order. As I've said (probably a hundred times, haha, I post this everywhere), DDE tends to get 5-6 (or more) shipments from FL for ONE order, so sometimes the wait is just that they've got a LOT Of stuff to go through, and there's only two or three people in there every day, so if they have to answer a lot of emails or phone calls, it holds them up. And they aren't just FL dealers, so obviously they have other events and companies and people to work with too.

 

that's sounds about what I was thinking Shlee. DDE have always been super nice to me and I can only guess at the massive amounts of sorting they have to do. heh. I can barely get through organizing a GO without wanting to throw bubble wrap on the floor in a tantrum.

on a side note, I'm still looking for the perfect wig for my girl but I think I've found an alternate on Happy Camille's Taobao so at least she won't be bald when she gets here (as far out as that is).

Awww, Tika is definitely my next minifee love *______* I like him nomakeupped even moarrr. And he resembles a more serious and masculine version of Breakaway.
And Rin is kinda sweeter, OE version of Woosoo seems to me...

 

Can anyone tell me please. Is Rin going to be the same dark tan as Tika?

 

Ooooh I'm actually really satisfied that I have a Rin head now, but I'm still not sure if she'll make for a good unicorn in WS. Hmm...and I'm very happy that I actually don't like Tika. His nose seems really pinched and I don't like how the corners of his mouth forms a smirk. It's nice that there is a sculpt that looks a little more masculine but not for me at all. Not to mention...I'll only ever have one boy MNF. So no worries there. I can't wait to see what owners do for him though without the standard face up.

 

Lillyroos I believe so as they said they were only offering them in tan together it was part of their concept?

Ugh shoot I should have caved and gotten Tika in tan. I was worried I wouldn't like his face sculpt and although his nose is a bit on the thin side for me I would have loved to have him in tan.

I assumed that Tika's tan this time around was the same as the previous minifee tan (it's just the lighting in the photos making him look so much darker)? They gave no indication that it would be darker from what I remember reading and, previously, they've always announced when their tan color changed. If I'm wrong, could somebody point out where I missed that announcement?

 

It is the same tan as the current tan releases.

Wow seeing a blank face can change a lot! I was sure I wanted Rin but seeing the blank I'm glad I didn't get her. I also thought I didn't like Tika but I love the sculpt!

I agree, I don't like Rin as much blank but I wasn't drawn to her face to begin with. I would have used my Nanuri head for her but I ended up ordering her in WS.

Does anyone know if I can send FL payments without being invoiced? I have a layaway but would like to send money when I have it instead of waiting (I'm not that great at saving, lol)

 

Yes you can send them payments without an invoice whenever you want. I would follow it up with a note on their CS board so they can verify it as soon as possible.

Definitely. I'm probably going to play with her faceup a bit while I wait! My only beef is her lips which are cute but I think, for me, sculpted a bit shallowly (I love the definition of the MNF Siean Elf's lips). So I have to decide if I want to see if I can bring them out with a faceup or if I just want to mod them.

Anyway, to the other owners of the Nanuri '14 head - is your neckhole to neck ratio this huge? None of my other Minifees have this much of a gap.
