Hey, guys!

I know quite a few pages back some folks were looking for hybrids (I have a LOT if there are any specific requests!) but specifically for Siean, as some have mentioned that the head is rather large and some alternative bodies may look better with the head. I actually ended up putting mine on a Limhwa mini girl body, but I modded his chest off (forgive the nudity in the picture, and lack of breasts for those of you who wanted to see them!) and I think proportionally the head matches really well with the body:



This is Lux. I'm sending him off tomorrow to be painted by Krowbar (who has done some of my other dolls). He has been reshelled from a Supia Lina boy mod. The lines on his face are sanding references, so just ignore those, too!

Not the most regular of pics, but here is Nyne, my Ryeon sitting next to some regular size tin cans - took it for one of the triathlon challenges! The can she is sitting on is one of those taller ones, but the two next to her are regular size. Hope that helps somewhat!

lilcricketnoise: I also have always really liked the Limhwa bodies. They've been updated to have similar joints to Minifee, but they still don't hold poses or sit well unless perhaps sueded because they're not sturdy at the hip joint. Not a big deal for me, but something to consider if you want to hybridize in the future. My Juris 11 and 8 also really looked good on the body (before I sanded the bust for Lux).

As for height, I don't have any A-line boy bodies right now, but the Banshee (my A-line FTM mod) comes up to Lux's shoulder, so an A-line boy would probably be a bit shorter than a doll on a Limhwa body, maybe about half a head. The Limhwa boys and girls are almost the same height, which is taller than MNF in general. I'll see if I have any pictures of my Limhwa bodies with Minifee for you.

Ravenwolf: Thank you so much! I feel the same way about the body! It was actually a huge challenge for me to pick out because the doll I was reshelling was super specific; I looked forever for a good head (Siean being the closest to Lina's base features that I felt I could manipulate to look more like a Supia Lina, even though Lina has way nicer elf ears and eyeshape than Siean, in my personal opinion!) and then I had to replicate the Supia FTM mod body I had -- which something like a DC would have been a good candidate for, but Siean's head was so big, I had to consider that, too. The Minisup body was cute, too, but I knew Supia and Limhwa were taught by the same sculptor, and when I saw the Limhwa body it was longer and much more resembled Lux's old body, and with nicer arms and hands, lol. So I guess what I'm saying is that I am pleased to have found a perfect hybrid and that the combo looks good to others, too! Thank you!

Krowbar is a good friend of mine. She sold and painted the Banshee for me, and she is also adopting my big Lux from me in a trade for the aesthetic work on new Lux, and finishing my Mono crow witch boy, Rook, for me.:

I have a couple of minifee who wear Ersa Floras, but they are a Lishe and an Eliya; I don't own a Celine. I can still show you pics if you want. Both my girls wear 16mms, but I know people in this thread also use 14mm and 12mm in their MNF of all sculpts.

While I'm commenting - one of my girls came back from the spa this week and I'm really happy - this is one of my tan Lishe girls; Anna Perenna.

Ban: Oh my goodness, I saw Shadow passed around on tumblr recently, and guesses she was yours, and now that you're posting her all I can think us 'of course!', because she is so fantastically well done. You're the one who makes your dolls' clothes, right? I've always admired that!

Oh, yes. Tumblr is a community where you share basically anything you find on the Internet. A lot of people share Flickr photos from all kinds of users on there, so that's probably where I saw her. I love the tattoos on her eyes the most, it's what I remember about her! Very striking! And no worries about the compliments! They're true, after all! I wish I had your sewing talent. It's hard to find stuff from the 1300s! If I could make my own, I'd never have to worry, HA HA!

 

Splynterhayde You're welcome! I actually own two dolls that used to be Krowbar's but they don't have face-ups by her. I would like some of her work someday though if I have the right character for it

Splynterhayde, that hybrid is amazing! I'm a huge fan of the Limhwa bodies, and it goes so well with the Siean head. Can't wait to see the final result.

Re: comparisons, this may not be the exactly desired Minifee/Limhwa comparison, as Key is an m-line girl and Thom is a ForYou, so she's on the older Limhwa MSD body (I have no idea how old, precisely, as I got her second hand about three and a half years ago), but perhaps this could be a help? Most of the height difference is in the legs, as far as I can tell; you can see it a lot more clearly when they're sitting down.

Does anybody know what size wig fits best on a Juri '13? 6-6.5 or 7-8? I got one on the way and she was kinda a last minute decision so, I got nothing ready for her ^^;. I'm gonna go with Leekeworld.

felly-pepper - Congrats Well it all depends on company, but many 6-7 wigs are good for mnfs. Leeke's for sure in 6-7. I am not sure about others, I just got my first mnf recently and she has only one wig - made on order tibetan wool wig. But I can be sure about leeke , cause my ltf has one and I tried on. Also I has a fur wig for my littlefee (6-7) and it fits pretty well too

 

6-7 might not fit over the top of a silicone wig cap though, i've heard people go with 7-8 with one of those but i can't be certain as i don't like them so have never tried it!

 

Soo its 6 -6 1/2 wig size for leekeworld? Is the 7-8 ,too big?
