regarding question about Celine size wig I prefer a 6-7 because the 7-8 will look weird even with a wig cap but I think it's matter of personal choice ^_^

so now have some Miss C. (for Celine xD since I still don't know what to call her) she's wearing Ante's fullset wig (which I believe closer to 6-7 and it fits)

Dollique - Thank you I hope I will get the shipping notice anyday now (keep checking all the time ). I did see chloe with 10mm on flickr somewhere (I believe it was Ceres's doll. But I am not 100% sure now. She looked more mature I think.
But because I wasn't sure I got both sizes and will see what I prefer better.
And thank you for the picture, she's very beautiful and I love her delicate faceup

PaulinePol: thanks! That's a great idea to get both sizes. I've heard that a smaller size can make the doll look more mature too. However I'm having a similar problem with my Seorin. In the picture below she is wearing 14mm eyes but when I tried 12mm eyes she looks much more moody. Guess getting the eyes to look like we want requires much trial and error!

I'm switching over to 12mm eyes in some of my MNFs--my Mirwen is going to get a new pair of 12mms, and Melana (Karsh) is wearing 12mms right now. She looks fantastic in them. I think I'm going to keep my Rheia in 14mms for the moment, though--the bigger eyes give her a more innocent look.

And speaking of Melana, I took a very quick picture of her yesterday. I'm still not used to having her -- I stop to admire her pretty much every time I go by her shelf!

 

My blue-eyed Chloe, Asahi, wears 10mm eyes I can't post a photo on my phone, but well, I've been spamming her all the time

 

Dollique - yeah I guess it's all trial and errors and depends on doll's mold(eye shape) and your preferations of the look

I am very antsy to ask on FL board how much that can take between before shipping to ship, but one part of me says just to chill and wait, cause its close

 

On the topic of eyes, all my dolls wear 12mm (Celine, Karsh, Kyle, Breakaway, Juri '08) as well as my sister's Chloe~ My modded VE Chloe also wears 12mm, but she doesn't really count, does she? XD

I love my cutie busted Chloe. I plan on getting a cutie bust for my Nanuri 2013. I know that my fiance wants her Juri 2011 on a cutie bust. There aren't any gaps that I'm seeing on mine and I absolutely adore her. We have the small bust (and large bust) in our house too. The small bust is lovely as well! I haven't noticed any gaps on any of our dolls so maybe newer ones have gaps? I don't know. (Nude box opening day shot - other first day shots)

There's other photos in that flickr too. I think if that's what you're talking about I can see what you mean. I had a cutie busted girl though and it never bothered me (I didn't even notice!) and I only sold the body because I wanted a bust size up for her, and plan on getting a cutie bust for another girl of mine! But if it does bother you the small bust is a good choice.

I have been lurking the past few threads, but I had to pop in to share my beautiful new Luka who arrived yesterday. Her name is Cestrine, and I am totally in love with her! Really looking forward to doing her faceup this weekend.

I know everyone asks the wig question, but what size wig does Luka fit. I bought two different 7/8 wigs and ones smaller than the other, so I'm hoping the smaller one will fit, and I'm going to buy a wig cap also. Also are those the eyes she came with, or are they ones you bought? If they are, what size are they?

I'm super excited for my tan Luka girl, and your pictures just make me happy!

 

Is there any way i could dye a heat resistant leekeworld fiber wig?
I love a wig i found but i don't know if i'd like it on my girl when i get her put together, and 52 bucks for it is a bit crazy..it's a unique so it doesnt have color option and i can't find the wig's style

My Luka fits a 7-8 with a bit of sliding so a smaller one would probably fit better I prefer my 6-7 wigs on her though the smaller ones are really tight.

Huzzah! I got a shipping notification from DDE for my Tan Mirwen. I can't wait for her to get here, hehe.
Only strange thing is that they shipped her UPS even though I chose USPS. Its a tad annoying because my mail guy comes the same time each day, but the UPS dude has come anywhere between 8 am and 8 pm. :/

 

i just got a shipping notice from fairyland, my tan chloe is on her way home! (unfortunately she'll be faceless til i get my new paint booth for christmas, but still! )

I'm currently unable to give her a face-up and to take a good photo because I work ten hours a day, doing lots of overtime. I guess I'll have lots of spare cash if Fairyland decides to release tan Minifees for Christmas or something

Unfortunately I don't think FL is doing tan skin for christmas. I tried to ask and received this reply.

Awww. Well, with Fairyland, one never knows

 

I've dip-dyed different types of doll hair (nylon, poly, saran) and normal bjd wigs with acrylics! Haven't tried on heat-resistant yet or coloring up at the wig cap...
But it's really easy, just mix acrylic color with water in a glass so that the acrylic is completely liquid. Then put the hair in and brush out. It's waterproof after as well! I boil-straightened a wig after coloring it and the color didn't "bleed" one bit :-)

 

Honestly I wouldn't risk spending $52 on a wig I might ruin, but that is of course because I have no confidence in my skills so you may be okay. If you search "dyeing synthetic wigs" on Google it comes up with some tips. Someone mentioned RIT dying works here:

There's also Kool Aid for dying. Have a search around and see if there's a method you're confident in and maybe try it? Or attempt it on a cheaper wig first.

 

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you like my girl. She's wearing a 6-7" wig from Leekeworld, it was a bit tight going on but it stays put. Her eyes did not come with her, I also got them from Leekeworld, size 14mm. I look forward to seeing your girl when she arrives!

fairyland is really slow on sending some of the orders to dde right now. i had one order through dde so i could use layaway and one direct from fairyland later. my direct one is the one that just shipped. dde is still waiting on the extra hands and the juri head for my july order! (though they have had my doll for a while )

 

Good news everyone! My tan Mirwen boy and tan Chloe girl have shipped from DDE today and they should be here by next Thursday! I hope I have enough MSC to give them face-ups, since I haven't even bought them eyes and wigs yet. Bad dollie mom alert XD

 

After much hassle, including a missed delivery and running around to three separate post offices....I have my new girl! Gotta say I'm in love

I tried to take pictures of my tan Mirwin Siska today but they didn't turn out well. I don't seem to be able to catch how beautiful she really is. Anyway here she is. I just got my first two MinFee girls. I've been wanting a Mirwen for some time
and finally got her as my first Fairyland doll ever. Then a friend was pruning her
collection and offered her Shushu for sale so I got her as well. Here are my
two newest girls, Sisters!

Yeah I know they are behind and that dde is a lot slower haha. I ordered only because I needed the layaway though I got it paid off quickly, I just didn't have the funds in time for when the tan skin would end. Hopefully I get him for Christmas at least

 

that's my main reason for using dde too, usually it only seems to be a 1-2 week difference and the layaway option makes it possible for me to get the dolls, but fairyland seems to be extra slow shipping to them this time which is not fair to dde!

 

Ugh I hope they sell tan minifees someday in the future, I regret not ordering a tan boy!!
