Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 38

Mochi I have many FMD wigs, and both my MNF girls (Juri08 + Celine) wear them in 6-7. I just got a shipment of more FMD wigs in today, actually.. I can take some pictures tonight when I get in.

@Kimochi Congrats to Bambi and her A-line body~! She'll be much happier on it n_n

 

Thanks Glowbee!! I'm excited~ I guess I just can't adjust to B-line, lol! I was originally going to keep it so Bambi could get a full-back tattoo x_x;;

Even though the B-line is probably better for back tatts, the A-line can still work~! It's just a bit scary.. you have to be careful with chipping when posing. I still want to encourage you to get it, hehe ^^;;

 

Wah, Aoife is amazinggggggg!!! My original concept only has it on the top portion of the back, so I may just go back to that idea instead~ I'm scared of the chipping!! T___T

I hate to come past with this redundant question, especially because I had tried so hard to remember, but now that I'm trying to place the order, of course, I can't be sure, but I wanted to know, is it the 14mm eyes that look best in Chloe or 12mm? Also, does anyone have glass eyes from Alice's Collections in their dolls? I'm trying to figure out the fit.

 

I gave Celine some new eyes. I loved the color of the old ones, but they just looked a bit off to me. These seem to work well for her, too.

 

This guy is coming home with me! I think he will be a suitor for my tan Celine, and my first boy doll

 

My Chloe (Camryn) wears 12mm glass eyes. They fit great, no gapping either!

 

Sienimies - I wish there were more tan boys around also. If they had offered Carl in tan I would have snatched one up, but I got a Tan Mirwen lady. If they do this event again (and I hope they do!) I am going for a tan Lishe boy.

i emailed DDE and im not sure how i got the wrong order date, but i did. so my M line rheia is not late after all. they told me fairyland is shipping the order placed the week before mine so i should be getting a shipping notice soon! i ordered the 22nd of june so if any of you ordered near me our dolls are almost home.

i shipped out my siean (nova) and my chloe (Lyric) out to the spa yesterday. im so excited to see their new faces! i hope i can get Lyrics wig finished soon

HiYa! If you look back at post #234 of this thread, I posted my tan Chloe in 12mm glass eyes (unknown maker).

They are pretty eyes, but I think they look too small & give her the "staring into obviation" look.

I generally use 14mm on all my dolls & will try some in her later. Hope that was helpful? :confused:

I posted this a while ago for someone else, but here's a pic of my Chloe with a 14mm eye (left) and 12mm eye (right). They're urethanes though, not glass, but should still give you an idea of the difference

 

Oh no. I wonder why it's not showing up. I was able to snatch up a MNF Nanuri from this upcoming release. Now I just need to work on getting a body and think about what kind of face-up would look good.

Please soon! I ordered on the 28th. I was so hoping for this week.

 

Ahh, I ordered my Rena June 23rd, so this is encouraging news! It'd be helpful to know more concretely as I'm hoping to snag a face-up spot for her with my favorite artist and I think she's opening spots soon, but since these spots'll be for November I think I'll be fine. XD The wait's given me plenty of time to solidify what look I want for her, and I've decided on using watermelon tourmaline as my inspiration for her look.

I'm loving all the tan spam!! Hope to be able to contribute a bit myself in the near future

 

It could also be the color and positioning. The way they are sitting gives that "stare" look - and the super light color accentuates that.

Just pointing out that color and positioning play a huge roll in how eyes look in a doll. I've see the staring eyes in 14mm and 16mms as well!

On a side note, my mnf Siean sometimes wears 10mm! They gap like crazy but with a larger sclera they'd be fine IMO!

wow Nikki, she looks so pretty and different with that look. I loved her old look too with the dark brown and brown eyes, she's so versatile and beautiful!!

 

the first link is my girl and I confirm she's wearing 12mm eyes. I love the look of 12mm in Minifees, they give them an older look. and yes, the most important thing is positioning. don't just let the eyes stay in the middle, play with them around

here's a pic of different sizes. Tania (Chloe) is wearing 12mm from Latidoll, Mari (Luka) 12mm from Mako Eyes (which are 11mm really), and Blake (Elf Shiwoo) is wearing 14mm Mystics. I'd love to downsize Blake's eyes to 12mm at some point

So I just made my last payment for my Tan Luka through DDE. Anyone have an average wait time after the last payment for shipping? I had kind of put my excitement on hold until just now, but if I had a guesstimate of how much time I had left I might survive the wait a bit better. >.>

 

My order for a NS Moe Luka (placed May 15th, DDE 4-part layaway) shipped about a week after my last layaway payment, so hopefully yours ships soon

 

I will have to try that cuz in some pictures, those eyes were purple and in others weird staring blue (o.O) Those dolls were very pretty!

I think I am just so used to using 14mm that the 12mm struck me funny. Need more eyes to try out, especially more colors!

If you look at human eyes, the pupil often touches the eyelid with the top portion of the iris not visible

Thanks, everyone, for helping me out for the eyes! I decided to try 12mm and hope for the best. If they don't work out, I'll go from there. I would like her to look a little older so that's why I figured that would be best. While she's of teen age when it comes to appearance, she is a vampire and very old so I kinda want to reflect that in every way I can. I am crossing my fingers they work out, especially since I ordered them in an unexpected color (cotton candy pink).

I also ordered her stockings from the Candy Doll Shop on Etsy. Hopefully they fit m-line legs/feet okay. I took a chance because they are exactly her style. It's so fun putting a doll's style together!

it depends on whether they have received it from fairyland yet. if they have they ship out really quickly, if not you still have to wait till it arrives. you can always send them an email to see if it is in stock yet. i've done that after i finish paying and they don't seem to mind

 

DDE lets you know when your items arrive, at least they did for my friend's Ante.

 

I think they're a bit behind right now due to the influx of orders for the event- I finished off my four-part layaway about a week and a half ago and I'm still waiting. The waiting room is a pretty good way to get a feel for how long things are taking! n_n

I'd also second Ante spam and maybe some Rena spam.

 

And do take into consideration that DDE takes order even later than ones FL ship directly. Like I remember a period where DDE wad a while month behind.

Oh my, captainkyo, she is just so cute, I can't even deal with her! MNF Ante is so adorable and even more so in tan, which is no fair!

 

Could you let me know where you got your Mako eyes from please? I've found a UK stockist which is great, but they only stock 14mm upwards. I've ordered some anyway but I really think my Juri and Woosoo need 12mm.

I was really hoping for my girls to arrive in October but if the 25 June orders are still to come out and I ordered on the 25 July, then it looks like I'll be lucky if they arrive in November!

So happy! At first I was bleh about the tan when it arrived, but it's starting to grow on me *u* Not sure yet if I'll keep this head or the Chloe that I ordered but we'll see. Celine is so pretty in tan! I stuck eyelashes on her so I can enjoy her a little more until I get more funds for face ups.
