I love that boy too, but he's getting a little bit of a make-over at some point, I never got him his own face-up and I always loved his eyes, but his lips were a little too full and pouty for me for a boy. They look ok in that picture, but sometimes they looked funny. Sooooo at some point you'll see him all fixed up ^_^ I loved your old Karsh too but am also excited to see your new one

Hahaha, I do now!! I think they remind me too close of the #3 hands, so I didn't order them. I ordered the #3 and #4 and high healed feet for my tan Chloe.

Yeah, we asked them before (Twitter, Customer Service Board on site) and they said they would consider it. I wonder if it is one of their artist's favorite sculpts...The head has such good qualities. I think they only want to use it for special events though. I picked up the F60 Juri 2012 head in NS and it looks just like the MNF sized one. That might be something to consider finding to have "Juri".

If anything, people should start a WTB for one. They really do work! That is how I got my Juri08, and my MNF tan Mirwen head I actually have always thought the head looked like one of the first little dolls they offered (Real Puki Puki? SoSo?)

OMGosh, I have always thought the Ruth sculpt looked like Jack Frost from those old stop motion Christmas specials!! And white skin=perfect! I can not wait to see yours!!

 

Pockets: My Ruth wears 14mm glass eyes, and they fit very well. His sister's 12mms gap a little depending on the position.

a bit of quick Arwen spam, I bought her a horse yesterday (I think she might be getting a bit spoiled...) it's one of the Our Generation 18" doll horses ($34.98 at Target) I'm planning a bit of modding on the horse, definitely some blushing/repainting, a re-hair (possibly angora?) and a nice saddle pad and halter.

That's the word I couldn't think of earlier, the Ruth sculpt looks mischievous! A prefect Imp! I love seeing modded SL heads. There are so many possibilities with them.

Also is your girl wearing Eyeco eyes? They seem familiar to me. What color are they? I am starting to take an interest in Eyeco eyes and I am hoping to see more dolls wearing them.

Huh, I didn't know that. I don't see how it would hurt anything. They know a lot of FL fans like that sculpt. So they try to be accommodating. I just think they don't realize when they do events and such how great of a response they are going to get. I think they plan them, release them and then are like Whoa!! (@.@) Didn't see that coming!

Awesome, Thank you for sharing that pic! I am in need of a horse as well. I have seen the beautiful resin one for $500+ and I know it would be perfect for my doll, I just can't spend that much.

So how are you going to do the repaint? Just with paint that is for plastics?

She looks well proportioned on that model. Are you going to make it into the horse she rode in the movie? I think she said it's name....

So excited! I really want an actual horse from my incoming tan Chloe. Not just talk about the horse she has, YAY!

My Juri 2013 does not fit on my m-line, but if I order another neck piece would it be safe to assume it will fit? Does anyone have any information on this?

2nding this, I've only done 1 WTB (I think?) for a Realpuki Soso back when the RPs were discontinued and were really hard to find, I had a response within 24 hours and was able to buy one for my Mom at a really reasonable price

I'm planning on spraying a layer of sealant some paint and blushing a bit after that (hopefully it goes OK, I really wish I had an airbrush)

after a bit of research I found that I apparently bought the wrong color of horse for Arwen! (I could have sworn she had a brown horse!) so this one will be Brego (Aragorns horse) and I'll be on the look out for a white horse to be Asfaloth (Arwen's horse) at least Aragorn (a not-yet-ordered JID Owen) will have a horse waiting for him

and I just found out that Target.com has free shipping for Red card members so I can order her white horse online to avoid checking all the target stores for the right horse!

Love her she's a Soo right?

 

This is a bit worrying. I'd be interested to know the answer to so I can order any parts before it ships. In thinking I should add another pair of tan hands to my order but I guess it will be too late now, drat.

 

Uzi Spam!! Somehow lately, Uzi's arms cant hold a pose for long (it's the strings breaking down), but my brother managed to snap a pic of her doing this and excuse the stray hairs:

mine fits 100% perfectly. I posted a link to pics of the Juri13 on my Moe body a few pages back, but here it is again. when putting a head in a body, be sure that the neck piece is completely in the "open" position, and fidge a bit with the head until you see it goes completely down so the neck piece can pass over the edges when you close it. if it still doesn't close, I guess a little bit of sanding on the specific areas would work

 

is your M-line neckpiece too small for the head? I had that problem with my Moe-line Luka, her neckpiece was too small and that causes her head to wobble and the neckpiece also twists a bit.

Since I bought my M-line through DDE I e-mailed them a picture of the problem and they said they were contacting Fairyland about it, since it's obviously defective they should be sending me a new neckpiece (but it worse comes to worse I'll buy a new one)

I'm a pretty new minifee owner (I have a Juri 2010) and I am addicted now xD I bought a white Rena head second hand and have a tan Chloe ordered. Now I am stalking the fairyland site because of the moe-body rerelease and found a new Nanuri event?!

 

Oh yeah I saw that today. lol so they stopped doing tan minis and will start doing tan feeple 60, I think many people that just ordered a 60 will be very upset. I cant wait to see what the event face will look like - but what ever happened to the minifee ani face they were talking about way back, that is something I would really like to see

I can see why you like him, I think he looks great. So what are your planning for the make over?

I sadly didn't bond with my Karsh boy, I never seemed to be able to make a character for him and I hated his body and the way it posed. I think it is for the best that I sold him especailly since I think that the sculpt on the M-line body will be good for an actual character of mine. I wouldn't want two of the same sculpt since there is so many lovely dolls out there any way.

I am happy you are excited about my new girl. She is still stuck in customs sadly, I am excited about getting her too but frustrated that she has been stuck in customs. I have no idea when I am going to get her.

 

Really hope I don't like the Nanuri Minifee head... D: I'll be doomed otherwise.

Still nothing on my M-line order. Getting so impatient now. XD

anthrogirl, Love the horse and Arwen! I use mohair for the horses that I put hair on. It's really nice. There are lots of places you can find it. I feel like there was one other type I tried once and I forget what it was called now. Lol I was thinking the horse should've been white hehe. You could make a shadowfax too!

karla-chan, it seems that lots of packages are stuck in customs all over right now! I've had two people that I've sold some dolly items to messaging me and saying the packages haven't moved from customs yet. I can't really do anything about it, just hope it clears soon!
For Haven, I had originally wanted him in WS and then just impatiently got the NS one when I saw him for sale one day. I did enjoy him a lot, but just a few things were off with his face-up and it never felt like it was quite "mine" since it was the default one. I'm trying to really make my characters more of what I imagine them from a story line I have been working on sometimes and have in my head. Haven is supposed to be a younger demon brother of a half demon in my story. He also has some lightning/storm powers and I wanted him to have hair and eyes to reflect that (which he hadn't before) so I'm working on that ^_^ I *do* have another Karsh since I had the one that was done up like Link from Zelda but he is sharing a body with Nuriel right now, and was kinda just so I could have a Link doll and not necessarily to be one of my own characters.

 

Wow, I really CAN see him as Jack Frost in fact, my girls are watching that show RIGHT now!

Hmmm, I spent $100 on mine - I realize that's a bit pricey but I really, really wanted it, I'd gotten an unexpected commission and was able to treat myself and it sure as heck wasn't $500+ I couldn't/wouldn't shell that much out either !!! Mine took a lot of work to mod but I think he came out alright and he makes a lovely decoration when not posing with a BJD:

There are me and two other girls from my country that I know suffering because we all have our dolls stuck in customs. We are joking that they are serving time in dolly prison and we need to break them out. It is just frustrating because you have no idea how long they will hold them, and they can hold them for as long as they like. It is not like you can have a rough idea to how long it could be.

And yes, you can't do anything if a package you have sold is stuck in customs it is all down to them really.

I didn't know your boy had the default face-up it looks darker then normal. I just thought you had gone for goth guy with him, which I think it is a look that suits him well. I can understand wanting to make him look more like the character you had in mind for him though. I can really see the appeal in that since I make my dolls look like my characters too.

I know some people do have more then one of the same doll, and if that makes them happy fair enough. Just I want to limit my over all number of dolls and were possible try and keep my collection small. So personally I am happy that I did sell my boy in the end and instead ended up going for the same sculpt but with a girls body. Plus I knew full well I did not like him as much as my girl dolls, were as I think I will like my new girl just as much.

 

I love all the beauties in this thread but it's making me very impatient. I still have payments to make and months to wait for my girl I think I'll spend some time figuring out her look and prepping a welcome package for her.

Yeah Haven's face-up was slightly darker default and I liked that, and I do still want him to have a gothy look definitely. It's hard for me to not want that kind of look somewhat. I see natural looking dolls and like them a lot, but my aesthetic personally usually veers towards dark and smokey looks and lot of eyeliner. Maybe someday I'll have one with a slightly more natural face-up, though I just think the inner rim eyeliner really brings out the eyes so nicely! I've wanted to keep my collection small too but it's hard >_< especially if you have characters come to life or a doll suddenly names itself then you are doooooomed!!!

JediSpiceGissia, imp is a perfect word to describe that little face! As for her eyes, they are masterpiece eyes in baby blue (acrylics though) I've fallen in love with some of the colors they have.

 

I'm thinking of getting my Ante a friend in the near future but there's too many nice friends to choose from.

 

Yeah, I bet they have a lot of plans of their own and might even have plans for "everyone's" favorite juri but I understand that it's all a matter of making successful decisions for the company as a whole. And they can't always be sure of the reception they are going to get. Rix and Rena are not nearly as popular as Chloe and Rena looks a lot like a cross between some of the older sculpts. And yet they brought back Yder and Siean in mnf size and the waiting room flooded with orders.
And that's the trouble with the limited releases, if people like them alot how do you reintroduce them so you can make yourself money without breaking the principals of "limited" or loosing people's interest with "more of the same".

My only problem with a WTB is I don't know if I can really justify the asking prices of Juri08s right now.
I know what realpuki you mean, it's the Roro. She has my DES's exact eye shape and an Ante type mouth. There is one with a custom faceup that I fell off my seat for, so she is on the wish list (I'll worry about finding her a place in my story lines later).
Actually if the tan resin release is something they decide to continue for other sizes I'd get a Realpuki in tan, so I'm saving her for the right event.

And extra yay for horse spam, I keep musing over those Our Generation horses.... they just never look tempting when i stare at them in person. Maybe I just need to get the courage to take one of the girls with me and try em out at the store.

JediSpiceGissia: That's what I'm doing! I LOVE the old Rankin and Bass Christmas shows, and Jack Frost has always been my all time favourite. He might look a bit different until I get him all together though. But I will try my best to get him as accurate to the show as possible.

I am enjoying the Karsh spam, since that is what I am waiting for and it is nice to see them about.

Well customs do look out for the dolls because they know they are worth a lot of money and it is worth pulling them over. Plus they have at least 3 at the moment!

I can see that you like to have your dolls with a gothic look, there is nothing wrong with that. Mind you I am found of that look myself. My old Karsh boy was meant to be a goth guy, plus I like to stick Ico, Scops and Mint in gothic clothes. So yeah, nothing wrong with having a preference! I also will have 4 out of 8 of my dolls with red hair when Xyphos gets home. Also I want Xyphos to have a small amount of black make up because I think it will look nice with her tan skin.

I agree if I name a doll I am doomed, if I name the doll then from then point on it is denial to if I am going to get the doll. Especially if I see a doll that looks like my characters. So yeah you are pretty right there. I find it hard keeping it small too, I am hoping it is going to be a while before I get more. However I think I am getting to a point were I am really happy with my collection and I do feel really content.

 

Lol I also find it hard to not have too many red haired dolls and black hair or mixes of the two I myself have reddish brown hair and have dyed it so many different shades of red over the years. I've also had it black but not in a long time. Right now it's close to natural because I just wanted to let it go for a while. Anyway maybe that's what draws me to those colors? Nothing wrong with having a preference though ^_^

I thought I would end up with more dolls with black hair, but so far I only have Ico. Mint has little bits of black in hers but it is mostly green. However I do agree there is nothing wrong with having a preference. I used to have all kind of shades of reds too, currently I have black and I have had black in the past too. I know as a whole I do very much enjoy the gothic/alternative look.

Thanks, hopefully it will look good, it is only going to have little bits of black though. I have sorted out a mood board for the face-up artist ready. I am trying to do all sorts to take my mind off the fact my doll is stuck in customs. Although it is not working that good in terms stopping me getting frustrated but at least I am getting stuff done.

 

So I have a questions. The inside of my Woosoo Vampire head says Woosoo B.M. Does this mean this head is the male Woosoo version? And not the female version?

I redid Clare's faceup a few weeks ago and she was chilling on my bed, so Shushu spam~ We're waiting for VE Chloe to come back from getting her eyes opened

 

That was the before picture actually, here is an comparison, the one on the right is opened. I think it makes the ruth face look softer, more bright and energetic somehow.

nope! They have just a normal woosoo. ^^ I like the ears but I prefer VE woosoo without the teeth. xD and modding in tan was a little iffy for me, so just a normal was great. ^^

I"m glad we don't have to wait for customs for dolls, but man it stinks for you. D: I wish it could go by as fast as jpossible! D: Oh no! XD ahahaha. THey are almost like jailmates lol. Maybe they can get out soon.

Orlaith is a woosoo too...well actually, the poor girl is just a head at the moment as Lotta Mackrelmint has stolen the minifee body permanently. Hopefully Orlaith's moe body will ship soon - we've been waiting a little over two months now.

Erratic Rhapsody Wow woosoo in tan is soo pretty i'm loving the spam, i absolutly adore my woosoo she is so much prettier then i imaged.

 

Yeah, your post made me think of it, since she did what yours did. Debating on just ordering one to try, since my Rix head fits perfectly on it I do not want to bother with it too much, since that is her body.. Just wish they would re-release the M-line sooner. Or she will just go body less for while.

Love all those Woosoo! Wish my boys pants would get here so I can show him off.

 

I tried my Ante SP head on the M-line and that was just as wobbly as the Luka head still waiting to hear back about the neckpiece.

 

I believe it's the head itself rather than the neckpiece - I have swopped heads over on a number of bodies and my VE Chloe head is wobbly on every body I have, while my Lishe and Eliya heads aren't wobbly on any of them. And I have bodies which are a variety of ages, since I didn't buy any of them new recently. Occasionally the neckpiece hole in the head can be a little bigger on some of the dolls.

 

anthrogirl I really hope they get back to you soon, you have been waiting for a bit now haven't you? Maybe I will just have to buy one and experiment, or at least she can share my Shushu Luts body if I do.

 

Hrm, that's interesting about the M-line neck connectors- when my tan Ante gets here, I'll have a bit of an experiment- I have a few heads that I can try out. I wonder what's going on there?

All this Woosoo spam is making me want one of my own, but I have to wait- I'm going to be waiting on two different Juri girls at the moment, but I think Luka and Woosoo will be the next two after them Minifee's sure do multiply quickly.
