Is Dahnya a hybrid? I don't recognize that sculpt...I like her clothes! What damage does she have to her arms?

I hope this is not a weird request, but you coulnd't possibly take a picture of your Tan Mirwen next to Cleo (or other tanned MH dolls) if you still have her? <:-))
I can't decide if I should get a TS or NS Chloe and it would help sooo much knowing more what the tan looks like! >.<

 

She looks fine in 14mm too but I am putting her in 12mm to go with the other MSDs. Will post a pic when eyes arrive.

So is anyone else doing any last minute caving and ordering a tan skinned doll(s)?

I am seriously thinking about a tan A-line Rix boy. But I just dont know where he would fit in my doll family or even his character...

Last week I almost ordered a tan Mirwen boy but was able to stop.

Maybe I just want him cuz I know how unusual and different he would be? Maybe I'd better think more before ordering, LOL!

When customs stop a doll here we get a letter telling us how much to pay and when the letter arrives the doll is usually in the local post office. Then you just go there and pay and pick it up. Unless of course you get a no invoice letter in wich case you have to forward your order confirmation e-mail to them. Then you get the ransom letter. I just had my first doll go through without having to pay for at least 2 - 3 years. I HATE customs!

I broke down and ordered a tan Rheia the other day. I really shouldn't have. I wonder if I can get DDE to be okay with me paying the last two instalments 2 - 3 days late each. It would really help.

I wanted so badly to place a last minute tan order, but... I have enough dolls. That, and I couldn't decide who I'd order. DES, VE Woosoo, Lishe, I thought about a Rix boy and girl, a Kyle boy.. I couldn't even narrow it down to 2. So I told myself that must mean I don't really want anything badly enough and I'm just spazzing because "OMGTANMINIFEE".

I think once Chloe and Celine get here and I have new dollies to work on I will be content and hopefully not feel like I missed out on anything XD

 

I see, it tends to be at the nearest parcelforce depot in my case. Local post-office would be much simpler though! Although Manchester is my nearest depot and it is not a big deal to go and pick it up. I have done every time I have been hit by customs because I know the letter can take a while. I have had the letters come through days after I have picked up the doll. I guess these are the joys of living in Europe.

I hate customs too. I hate how long you have to wait while your doll is stuck in customs, Ki (MNF Chloe) was stuck in customs for 2 weeks before they let her go and I also had to wait a week for Ico.

 

I keep putting Celine in the cart and some hands and wigs and stuff. I'm not buying for quite some time, but I still feel the need to put things in a cart and stare at it there. *__*

 

Hehehe I definitely know that feeling! I'd been making 'trial' runs of adding things into my cart weeks before I even intended to actually order. I wanted to make sure I got everything down pat before I placed my real order. It also didn't help that I kept waffling between ordering 2 and 3 dolls with extras X_X I finally decided on just 2 with a couple extras (hands and some clothes).

 

Does FL mark down the prices on customs forms or will they do it if you request?

 

I'm not sure if they lower it as a basis, but they have always written down the price I have requested

btw my girls are at the post office waiting for me to pick them up tomorrow morning! so excited!!

 

All mine have been marked at $100 in the past and I have never asked them to.

 

Same here, they really don't need to mark down US packages since we're not charged customs fees, but even my F65 and Pukifee were marked to $100, man I wish they were that inexpensive!

 

I think a few of us would enjoy them at that price, but sadly it is not possible. It is good of them to mark down for the countries that do get charged because it is really expensive if you do get hit.

Wow, that's interesting. I mean I guess the govt. everywhere has their own way of taxing things and getting taxes. That stinks that sometimes it's so high and that you have to wait. :/ Yeah, since the only thing I've ever really bought outside the US is dolls, doll clothes, etc. But I believe things that are considered "toys" don't get the customs. And since they are dolls or doll clothes they fit that category. But I really don't know much on the international shipping stuff even for here. XD Most of the time with anything that I've ordered they just deliver it to your house.

o.O That is such a pain! So lame. I mean...they already have customs and things why do they need the parcel force too? Strange. o.o

I saw that your doll is now in your country!!! That's so awesome! You'll probably get yours first. xD My package is in my country too, but it's a federal holiday on Monday, so she probably won't get here until Tuesday or later. ;3 Lets hope you don't get hit with customs.

I have actually been hit by customs at this point, so you and my other friend who also got her shipping notice on the same day as me will probably get yours first. The only way I would if I was stupidly lucky and customs didn't hold her for very long. However I am not hopeful at this point, Ki got held for 2 weeks.

Yes in the US you don't have to pay import on dolls and dolls items because they are toys. However in the UK we are not so lucky. If I would not have been hit by customs, they would just take it to my house like any other post. However the complication is getting hit by import tax and they want to make sure they get the money off you before they give you your doll. They need parcelforce because that is the company that is linked to the royal mail and they are in charge of delivery. They do pay customs on your behalf then get the money off you.

Volks doesn't mark anything down so the fees from them HURT, I'm glad FL does at least a little bit.

 

Yeah, and although it can be a good resource. I have found it easier to just ask here. I usually find that people get faster responses, and it is up to date. Not to mention, you don't have to scroll through looking for the doll you specifically are looking for. I think maybe if in the first post it had the doll sculpts listed and then what wigs do fit next to them would be nice, and some could even put what companies. Or do a chart or excel sheet. That'd be much easier on everyone and most helpful. That would require a lot of work, listening, and research, and probably even a poll, which...I've not seen polls on this site as a whole.

Oooh ok. That actually makes sense now. It's kinda nice that they pay it for you...even though you still have to pay them back. XD And honestly...parcel force sounds a lot cooler than postman. lol.

 

I have a Woosoo and she wears 12/13mm eyeco softglass eyes. She has very small eyes compared to other Minifees. I do prefer a smaller eyes though. She wears 6/7 For My Doll wigs.

on the wig size I would have thought that the majority of them wore 6-7 wigs so perhaps it would be easier to list the ones that didn't on the main thread. Certainly my woosoo, Mirwen, Juri and Miyu all wear the same wig size.

It's actually been around for some time now, but everyone chooses to avoid the search bar these days and just go straight to discussions It's more beneficial for discussions I think since it causes less clutter and is a useful long running resource. Also multiple pictures can be posted in one place with different wigs, as opposed to the discussion where you can only post one image per post u3u

 

Yeah, her head is an Angel of Dream Ni Ni (1/6).

They were dyed and painted with no sealant, so they got stained pretty bad, one of her arms also has some chips and cracks.
The stains aren't too bad when I take the pictures at night with a lot of flash, but in normal circumstances they are more noticeable.

 

Excellent point! my current and past MNFs: Ante, Chloe, Mirwen, Yder, Shushu, Juri '08 and Luka all wore size 6-7" wigs (unless someone really like full wigs, then a 7-8" with a wig cap would work)


also my Moe line Luka arrived this afternoon! I adore the M-line body (IMHO it poses much better then my A-line girls, the legs aren't kicky at all!) and I'm really suprised how much I adore the little feet

Unfortunately her neckpiece is faulty, it&#8217;s too small so her head keeps lolling around and her head fell off when I took her out of the box! I e-mailed DDE pictures of it so hopefully they&#8217;ll be able to send a replacement neckpiece.

I've been having a lot more luck with 6-7 size wigs~ I think only Brink & Sebby wear 7-8, but even those tend to run on the small side. ^^

Dear customers,

This announcement is a reminder that default eyes for all large dolls, including MiniFee, have been changed from glass to acrylic types for orders received from July 1, 00:00 (Korean standard time).

Tan skin option, which was supposed to be available until August 31 (Saturday), has been extended to the morning of September 2. It will be removed from the website the first thing on Monday morning of September 2.
Customers interested in tan skin option dolls should place orders by Sunday, September 1, at the latest. Tan skin re-release possibility remains unclear at this stage.

I'm almost 100% sure they'll release tan skin again soon-ish (maybe next summer?) since they seem to have the quality control down (I haven't heard any complaints about sanding marks, seams etc.)

I think they'd just rather have us order now then save our money for next year

 

I think they want those last minute rushes, more money plus I am sure they would release it again there is defiantly a want/need demand for them. I am thinking its like Hostess. They want you to think they are going away only to bring it back a year later.

So I caved and pushed through my cringing over paying an extra $90 in currency conversion because the Aus$ is so low at the moment. >.< I just ordered a tan Minifee Chloe! I figured I would have kicked myself later if I didn't get her.

 

;_; I won't be able to afford my Celine for another two weeks, so tan skin isn't an option. Woe is me.

 

I have heard that about Volks actually a girl at a meet I went to once paid more in customs to get her doll in the country then I did for my first few dolls! That is kind of scary actually. I know that I got hit at full value for my WD doll and had to pay £73/4 just to get her in the country. I felt sick when they told me the charges. Lucky since FL only mark the doll at $100 it has cost me between £25 - £30 to get them in which is less worse.

With being in Norway you can;t get around the customers by going through an EU dealer either since I know Norway is not in the EU. I have this problem when me and my friend send things to each other. Hopefully if you do get hit they will take the invoice at face value on treat it as though it cost $100 and not it's actual cost.

They charge you for paying on their behalf though, they are lovely like that! I much prefer the postman to parcelforce. The Royal Mail will do the same thing though! However they deal with smaller packets and not EMS items.

I hope so, I hope they did what they did with Ophelia and only hold her for like a day or something. I think even if they held her a week like the did with Ico I will probably start going a bit crazy! The worse part is when I do actually get her, she will be blank and I will have to send her away for a face-up too! ^^;

soooo the girls are home!! I wasn't sure about the moe body and in fact I don't like it naked, but once dressed it seems I'm in love!! and Chloe looks so cute in the moe body

I'm very unsure about Celine. I may try and trade her head for another sculpt, because both tan bodies are soooooo lovely. the tan is a beautiful milk chocolate.

Oh, and the moe body is the greatest poser ever. you can just plop it on one leg and it will stand like a rock. gah! if only she came with a smaller breast!
