Oh cool, so I take it you got your shipping notice too then? I am stupidly excited! What can delay mine is if it gets stuck in customs they can hold is as long as they like, Ico got held for 1 week and Ki got held for 2!

I actually finished the cardigan today actually and it turned out mostly OK. Hopefully I will be moving on to some more bloomers, I have some red fabric which should be good for her. As for sewing just go for it! If you are worried about messing up just try patterns on really cheap fabric first.

I thought it was nice of her too, but it is better to have my own I think. I don't have to worry about how long everything is taking me then!

Erratic-Rhapsody - In regards to sewing on a sewing machine, do not be scared. You will mess up a few times (I certainly have) but you will slowly start to see yourself improving over time. I've just started using mine which I've had for a few years but never used (for various reasons) and I started by making knee high socks (which slowly got better as I went on) and then tried ragdoll's no sew shirt pattern which turned out really bad with holes. I'm going to practise making some pants as well. If feels really good though to make your own stuff! Hopefully when I get better I can design stuff myself. I want to make a Journey cosplay outfit for my Littlefee.

I would also recommend practising on old fabric from old clothes if you can. Then you're not wasting good fabric!

I have a favor to ask my fellow Siean owners... As mine is off at the spa, I was wondering if I could pester you for photos with 14mm eyes in? I have 12mm eyes for him, but I changed my character idea for him, and now want as little white to show in his eye as possible. While I'm toying with the idea of just getting beads, I could also do a larger eye...


So, pretty please, can I get 14mm eye photos of Sieans?

 

Mine, when she comes in, will be a tan Lishe (what a surprise!). I kind of wish they had offered a tan BA, then I would have a tan boy incoming too... but only a tan girl.

I'm personally looking forward to seeing the new tan against the old tan and the light tan... It definitely looks lighter than the old tan in some photos... but then not in others.

Two! Oh gosh. If I got my stuff held I would be strangling someone lol. Like, "give me my doll! D<" Haha. The only thing that happens here is 1. The postman doesn't even bother to knock on the door. 2. I'm not home when they come. Which both cases end up me having to either chase down my apartment office to give me my package or actually call the post office. -.- Sometimes they don't even leave a notice saying I got my package and it was left either at the office or at the post. Grr. Then I'm left looking at my tracking number saying, "My package says delivered but it's not here." Crazy people.

That is a good idea. I'm just scared since I used to sew and used to know how to use a sewing machine and wasn't bad at it. Wasn't amazing either but it was something lol. I just feel like I've forgotten everything. x__x

Thanks to those who answered my question about the wig size for Celine. The wig I want for her should work just fine. I'm really happy, and so excited to see my girl. I can't wait for my shipping notice, she better hurry her way home!

I'm sitting this tan skin event out but I really hope they do another one in the future. I would love to pick up a tan minifee at some point.

Erratic Rhapsody - She's adorable, and reminds me of Rapunzel with that wig! I love that angle of her. Her mouth is so cute.

 

I'm in love~! Although she freaks my hubby out. I think its the lack of eyebrows hehe.

 

I was very much talking myself in and out of getting either a tan Mirwen or Rix boy. Its so hard to resist and cant believe I made it, LOL!

IDK tho, there might be a NS Rix in the future for me. I am starting to see the potential in that sculpt

Aww thank you. Haha I thought so too! I really hope the wig works out. :3 I wish I could remember the size of my Crobidoll wig. x___x It didn't have the tag in it. :/ I remember I had been debating between 7/8 and 6/8. O n O

Soo... random question. Has anyone in this thread hybrided a MNF head onto a DZ body (or more specifically, this body?) I plan on switching my Rosemary tree girl to a DC body, and I kinda love the idea of my Juri 13 head going on my headless DZ body...but Idk if it'll actually work Any thoughts?

(and why oh why doesn't FL sell mag wrist pieces? That would make my life so much easier!)

This'll be the only MNF Shiwoo in the "active" collection. (I have a couple of other MNF Shiwoo heads... scar & sleeping... But they don't have bodies.)

Of the other sizes? Way too many. The PukiFee is only version I don't have at least one of.

 

Oh dear... I think your other boys need to have bodies! Lol. I know that feeling and I am so glad that Lishe doesn't come in as many versions and sizes as the Shiwoo does (or BA for that matter, since I have an FL release collection of them too...). One of my friends collects Shiwoos and I think now including the new tan MNF, tan LTF and tan PKF, the entire Shiwoo release set must be in the range of 20.

I know I'm going to spend some time counting how many Shiwoos that makes now... (still many many more than Lishes... )

 

Uh oh guys... Just bought an A-line Celine off the MP >_< Oops! Haha. I had already sold the head of the one that came in because I was giving her body to my Luka, but I just couldn't resist! I'm addicted to FL. Hmm but should I keep my tan when it comes in? Decisions decisions. Maybe I'll end up with twins.

For those with a MNF Ante, can I ask what size eyes she wears? I've ordered one in NS with cutie everything to try make her have a younger look so she can be my Mirwen's little sister

 

Yes, I was going mad towards the end, customs can hold things for as along as they like! If you try and question why they are holding it for so long then they can be really funny think you are trying to sneak something in and detain it for longer!! So you just have to wait!

I see those things suck, the postman is OK here and he does tend to knock and let me know if he has had to drop things off at the post-office to be collected. So our actual postman is really good. Customs can be a night mare and so can parcel force. Sometimes my doll has been at the Manchester depot and I have been in Manchester 10 minuets away from where my doll is and they don't let you collect them unless you have to pay a customs fee. Which is really odd.

Loving the Celine spam! I know that I made the right choice in making her my first Minifee! How can you guys stand the wait?? I'm going nuts waiting for her.

Glowbee - How could anyone ever get sick of seeing her? She's just too pretty.

 

There are a lot of them. I thought about getting a tanned LTF Shiwoo, too, but didn't in the end since I already had Ishi (He's the NS version-). I may yet end up with the PukiFee, but the head/body proportions still seem odd to me. I have the feeling that would end up bothering me enough to make me really dislike the doll once I had him.

MiniFee Shiwoos, though? They're just all-around cuteness.

I've asked them before and they said they'd sell me a set if I wanted one, so you could always ask? (Though waiting until after the event might make it more likely for them to say yes)

 

Spam as much as you like! Honestly I am loving seeing the tan skin dolls about. Since I am waiting for my own tan skin doll I like enjoying seeing other people's spam while I wait. It helps me with the waiting, I think it does help remind me that it will be worth the wait!

Plus I doubt you will be the only one once we all start getting our new dolls! It is going to be great!

 

FL sold me a pair of the magnetic wrist pieces when I had one break, but I had to supply pictures of the damage and an order number for the doll it belonged to. Dunno how they are about just selling them separately, maybe send them a message on the CS board?

I woke up this morning to a shipping notice!! My tanned Chloe and Celine are coming home. It'll be a close call to see if their wigs and eyes arrive before they do... Not at all. It is the orange wig from Luts', Moonlit Song- Lolly. :3 I got it in a split. It fits pretty well, but is a tiny bit loose.

In the UK dolls are subject to import duties so when they get stuck in customs like that, it often means that you will be paying the taxes to get it into the country. For a doll you have to pay 20% plus approx £14 for a customs charge if you get hit. I know in the US they don't have to pay import tax on dolls so often gets held for a much shorter time.

I think it is weird with parcel force too, I mean if you get hit by customs they will let you go and pick it up in person and you can pay the custom duties then. If you don't do it that way you have to wait for the letter that they post to you, ring them up when you get it. Then pay your custom fee and then they will bring it to your house. That is a pain.

haha MNF do have very pretty feet. When I asked, I just said I wanted them for my B-Line girl and they said as long as I didn't complain if they didn't fit right they were fine with it. Now, this was...2? ish? years ago so they might have changed their policies.

 

I finally caved and bought tan hands and hh feet...I just knew I'd regret it if I didn't.

 

I got new eyes for my Dahnya, and I finally got around to making her a proper top! lol
I was making that babydoll tunic for Minifees, but when I was measuring the pieces, I thought the crop top look was nicer on her, so I decided to go that route.
Now I just need some money so I can buy her shoes.
...And probably make some sort of coat to cover up her damaged arms.
