Rinoa & AaloriRian: Thank you~! I was a bit scared to do it just because he is an event head, but I'm really happy with it. When I first saw the head I thought 'boy', and I wanted another human for my mercenary team, but for a while I was too chicken. Alas, I just couldn't come up with an elf character male or female that I could bond with. I'm still waffling on the name, but I'm really excited about him now!

I'm hoping to try the opposite (a MNF head on a KID body) the neck circumference is very close at 0.2 cm so I think it might work.

if it did fit I'd love to get a KID body for my MNF Juri 13

 

Today I get the first work in progress pics for my Celine and Siean boys and they are so cute!! I'm so impatient to have them complete! I will spam this thread with many pics

 

ArvanahModray you did an awesome job on that mod!!! It's amazing how Seian makes a great boy... a very versatile sculpt!!!

 

Took a quick pic for you both. Obviously there are height issues because I didn't want to take off the MNF neck piece. So the MNF head sits too low and the KID head is too high. WIthout taking the neckpiece off I can't actually tell if the kID head would fit on the MNF neck or not. Hopefully this helps though!

I just want to also note that in person, the heads don't seem so disparate in size. I feel like the iphone is exagerating the size of the MNF head in comparison to the KID.

 

I might just have to nab a tan MNF before the event is over! Looks good.

It's exciting to see the tan skin dolls come in! I still don't think i would have liked a Ruth in it even if that was an option but man would that skin tone make for an awesome realpuki doll!
I wonder if they'll allow that next time they release it... if they rerelease it....

I think the proportion looks pretty good (even with the iPhone distortion) and it would look even better if the Juri 13 ends up having a slightly smaller face/head then Chloe (fingers crossed!) I think I like the shorter neck for the younger looking sculpts (Ante and Juri13)

Lol, it is cool that my girl was tempting you into the WD dolls.The head size difference is actually quite a bit compared to other MSDs. I think because Shushu has a smaller face and more of an alien head at the back the difference between those two is not that bad since most of Shushu's head is hidden by wigs. So if the MNFs face looked bigger it would be more obvious. It is also very obvious compared to the RS dolls especially the newer ones that have 7-8 sized heads.

Ban Sidhe: Lol yep, I'd all but given up on the mold because of the huge head, but I have essentially unlimited room for human male characters in my story, and when I realized that Siean's head wasn't actually any bigger than my Carl's head, I was finally convinced to take the plunge and off with the ears! XD

I took my dolls to my mother in law's when we were housesitting for them last week. I had lots of time to take photos. Here's my favorite from the first proper shoot I've done with Bronwyn. She's finally starting to look the way I want her to, though I think her bangs need a trim so her wig can sit better on her head... sometimes it looks like she has a 5 head. lol

Has anyone else with an m-line tried to restring/swap out bust pieces? If so, how'd you go about it? I took my a-line completely apart, but my m-line can't unstring off her feet like an a-line and I don't want to cut her string... I feel like MAYBE I could remove the s-hook off the neck piece but her string is so tight I don't know if I can for sure. Halp?

 

haven't swapped out busts but I have removed my M-line's feet

I used a pair of forceps. the ankle is in two piece, so once I had enough freedom I was able to detach the two pices from each other and unhook the elastic. all you have to do is pull the string as far as you can then place the forceps on so the string won't go back in. (hope that's clear ^^;;; )

 

Shlee: Well that's odd... I had assumed the magnet feet ankles attached with small s-hooks of their own, much like the existing wrist pieces. Am I wrong?

Question of my own now. Does anyone have both a Nanuri 13 and a Mirwen they could take photos of together? I'm trying to figure out if Nanuri might work as my Jenna's little sister on the M-line body. My first choice is Shushu but I don't know if they could look related, plus I'd have to rearrange my plans... again. OTL

 

I forgot that I promised a better comparison photo, so here is tan vs ns ( booo shiney unsealed face :< ). Now time to run to work.

nope. they have an inner resin hook, simillae to the basic feet (I believe soom is like that as well). only the Moe's hook are made in the ankle piece and not in the foot itself.

 

Lovelovelovelove that tan color! I can't wait to get my girl home, although now I'm wishing I got a Chloe...better yet I just want to buy ALL THE HEADS. I *need* them. So happy it's darker than most companies tan.

 

Ah all these beautiful MNF are making me want time to go faster! I ordered my first MNF earlier this month and can not wait! Wanted to see if I can get some Rheia spam! Trying to decide if she's the right sculpt for a character I have in mind!

 

Thanks Sahoma. I looked in there and it didn't look like a hook, it looked like a bar inside the ankle piece and I was like 'how the heck do I get to that?!'. I'm waiting on a friend's forceps (I don't own any) so I can hopefully take her apart tonight and get them all restrung with the right boobs on. XD I ended up getting two different busts with my M-line (the big one and the glamour one), so the M-line body needs the glamour bust, the A-line I have needs the huge full bust, and I'm giving my large bust piece to my friend whose forceps I'm borrowing because she wanted to switch out bust pieces with her a-line that has a small bust (and I would have an extra left over, obvs). So hopefully I can get that all done tonight!

I would like to second the request for a picture of a tan MNF with a blonde wig. (Although the doll I want to have blonde hair is my tan LittleFee Lishe boy. My tan Mirwin has a black wig waiting.)

I have an older tan girl in a white wig, does that help? As far as I know the new tan is a little bit lighter than the old tan, but not as light as the new tan. (I know it doesn't really help, but it means I can spam a shot of my girl... )

I have a weird question for the thread I would love to have a doll that looked close to the actress Natalie Portman. Does anyone here think any of the FL MNF heads look close to her face shape? The only one I can think of right now that might be close is Mirwen. Thanks for any ideas!!
