Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 34

I do think that DDE should and will try to be helpful, im more worried that they will be selective on who they will help (aka help the people that bought more than others). Glad I got to order through FL this time....

 

Does anyone know how to tell if something is preorder or in stock on DDE? I want to order some minifee hands, but it doesn't say whether or not they are in stock. It just says 'These may be a preorder.'

 

I've only ordered through DDE twice and they were really friendly and helpful both times. ^^

@Plushie: Most of the time the in-stocks are listed on the top of the page, but the last time I asked them about hands, one of the ladies told me they were pre-order. You can always e-mail them beforehand and ask if they happen to have any on hand. x)

 

I wouldn't worry tooooo much about DDE- I just ordered my MNF Ante (M-Line) through them on Friday night, and did the same thing with the bust sizes- selected the wrong one. They fixed it up after a couple of emails back and forward though

 

I'm considering making my next doll a FL. I adore Chloe's face but I like Celine's more mature look... I'm not crazy about the teeth though. Can I get some Chloe/Celine spam to help me decide?

 

I only have a modify sleeping Chloe. I hope it helps

 

Oh, and like I said, I'm pretty sure they'll try to do everything that's within their power to help out, but if it's been too long or FL says no, I'm hoping people don't blame DDE if it can't be changed. I mean, it's one of the reasons I checked and double checked because I always assumed "glamour" meant the big bust and then had to remind myself that it was opposite what I had in my head, lol.

She's gorgeous! Thanks for posting her with undies on, I think it really helps seal the deal about that bust option looking like it's in lingerie or a corset.

DDE does not pick and choose who they help based on how much they spent. They work really hard to help every person that orders from them, I know that first hand. I've watched people buy Bobobie dolls from them while I was there, and others buy FL dolls; they get the same treatment. The one thing I will say is that I have noticed that people get entitled attitudes before they even talk to the ladies and DDE and then wonder why they're treated a little rudely. I always recommend everyone sticks to the "golden rule" of treating others how you want to be treated.

More often than not they'll say on their site if something's in stock, but with the hands it can be hard. I know that some of them are on pre-order right now, and they do have a couple of the other styles in stock. They're constantly ordering a ton to keep in stock, but obviously as people buy them with their orders and they fill those orders when they come in, the hands can go out of stock and become pre-order again. As CrazyKimochi said, might be best just to email them to ask.

I ordered my tan M-line Rena on June 20th from DDE, and I'm pretty confident all the labeling was correct at that point. I jumped back and forth between the DDE ordering page and the Fairyland one and they had the same bust labeling (I remember thinking it weird that Glamour was the small size and Full the large size when I first looked at the Fairyland page). That said, I hope everyone gets their bust sizes resolved! I don't feel strongly about which bust size my girl ends up having, so if anyone accidentally ordered a tan full bust when they really wanted a glamour one and can't fix it, I'd probably be willing to swap. XD

 

Plushie, whenever I want hands from DDE I just shoot them an Email asking what hands they have in stock in whatever color I need them to be in. They always respond quickly.

MrFjmg - Any spam helps. She's actually a combination that I've been considering for a future doll. I've always had a weakness for green eyes and red hair

 

I have to say I'm not really sure what all the fuss and debate is over DDE here. They're trying to take care of it as best as they can, and they have a lot of orders as we know. But the fact that they are helping people by contacting FL... doesn't that kind of make the debate over whether or not they should kind of a moot point here? Idk, just my opinion.

itzreeseybetch: Personally I think Chloe has more potential for a mature look, it's just all in the faceup. Many people paint their Chloes to have a sweet, innocent look, but I've seen some downright sultry Chloes. I'm not really a fan of Celine but trying to speak objectively I think she looks less mature. Also a couple pages back someone had been talking about how she did a mockup of Celine on the M-line body and the head looked bigger. This didn't surprise me, as the Celine head has always looked a bit bigger to me somehow. Not sure if it actually is, or just an optical illusion because of her face shape.

 

Arvanah no I've never seen Charlie. She is very interesting. Really I've been set on a Chloe since the first time I ever saw one... what gave me doubt was one of Andreja's face ups of a Celine... All of my love is here...

But I've also seen some very interesting and super mature Chloe's. Like you say it is all in the face up.

when did dde list the bust sizes wrong? i just went back and checked my order (since i ordered my girl the first week) and my order was for the glamour bust and i know i wanted the smaller one. i remember double checking the pictures since most companies have glamour bust as the biggest. i actually thought it was fairyland that caused the confusion by making the glamour bust the smaller size, not dde....

 

DDE didn't necessarily list the bust sizes wrong. When I ordered they were listed as Glamour (pictured was the small bust) and Large (This was the Full bust). There was another picture under those two that listed the largest bust as Full. The drop down menu had Glamour and Large as the two options.

I was not confused by DDE I just had it in my head that Glamour was the extra large one from the beginning, when the M-Line was first released, then I got a little confused by the terminology. It was only by luck that I was adding the Moe line to the wiki page and saw that the Glamour was actually the smaller of the two the day after I placed my order.

 

I'm not quite sure what happened in my situation! I'm pretty sure it was my fault, but I just wanted to get a chance to get it changed.

Wow! Everyones Dolly's are so gorgeous!! I am currently waiting on my MNF Chloe to come in. I'm on like week 4 of 10. The wait is a killer but it will be totally worth it when she arrives! I'm planning on Getting a MNF Celine and A MNF Mirwen Boy.

I ordered a MNF Chloe, I havn't got to order her anything yet but I would love to get her some heels and I just can't find any'
does anyone know any good places to buy MNF sized heels?

Just got my Karsh the other day, broken ear and all (don't worry, insurance is on it) and I'm noticing his head is kind of tiny compared to Siean's. His head is really more dainty like my girls. Am I just crazy? I mean I have noticed Siean had a larger head, but I was hoping Karsh as an intended boy mold would have a large head too. It's sort of bugging me because Keflin was supposed to be the OLDER brother. Does anyone else have both? Maybe with wigs it won't be so noticeable. OMG I must sound so fussy lol...

Woosoo VE was my first MNF as well but I didn't have a character for her so I let her go I used 12mm in her. I think a tan Woosoo VE would be worth getting, even without having a set character Can't wait to see yours when she comes in.

I just got my BW Siean in yesterday! I really like the sculpt but it is sooo different than other minifees! It looks so mature compared to my Eliya and Juri '08. She really does have very small eyes and the 12mm mako eyes I got for her are a perfect fit. No gapping at all. She won't have a wig or faceup for a while, but when she does, I intend to give her a more serious/intense look than most others have done. That said, could I get some Siean spam from people who have given her a more solemn look? She pulls off the natural look very well, but when I look at mine I see sulky and a bit mysterious.

Well, I'm not sure you'd call her solemn but Denae's definitely not bubbly or girly - I wanted to give her a darker look and try for mentally mature - if that makes any sense ...

My Karsh just arrived this morning with the new Moe body and as she's my first mnf I really can't compare, but she's so lovable. She has blue stains on her shoulder blades that are very faint, like light bruising. Cleaning didn't help so I will include this in her story somehow. Can't wait for her faceup and I'm so pleased it only took 2 months. She looks a bit athletic to me....

 

Faeryfae: You know...they might be magnets. Test this with something metalic, because I know the back magnets on my FL65 shows through the resin and kinda look like light bruising.

 

Same thing with my LTF, although I didn't know the M-line might have magnets... Intriguing!

 

Only 2 months? Wow! I don't think it's gonna be that quick for the rest of us. Maybe you can tide us over with pictures to keep our minds off the wait

faeryfae: The magnets are to attach wings, which sadly I have no use for and it bums me out that they show, but I have to say including them in a backstory is the coolest way around that. Too bad it doesn't fit Tara, and neither does a tattoo. *mopes*

Muffinator3000: I decided to go ahead and stick Neros on Cevina's body, and he didn't seem to mind it (his lover Ember on the other hand is not impressed). Actually as a female he does make for a very mature, beautiful natural woman, I think.

Yeah, pretty much what ArvanahModray said. I'm thinking of making my own magnetic wings or something. They can also be used to attach any other props you want to attach onto the back of the body. XD

 

Oooo shoot. Has anyone who has received a moe line already tried Yo-SD sized shoes on yet? I just realized that Leeke has some adorable high heels that might fit. The numbers suggest it should work but I worry it's the same as their MSD sized shoes. >.<

 

What did you use to clean? Mr Magic Eraser dry should work but if not, dampen it slightly. Even if you don't want a refund or anything I would still contact fairyland or whomever you purchased through and maybe let them know that your doll is stained. They might offer you some more advice on what to use to clean and at least they're being made aware of the issue. You may be fine with it but certainly some people would be very upset.

Oh and I'm loving all of the awesome spam. SO many pretty Chloes. And those of you who have posted the M-lines, thanks so much! If anyone has talked to meplease let me know. xD I'm so behind on this thread that I just sort of skim over everything.

 

So they are definitely magnets? Shame, I have use for magnets in the head if I decide to give my girl hamster ears (which I'm warming to), but I don't think I'll ever use the ones in her back so it's a shame they show!

Psycho Sukafa I bought my Karsh with the free feet event so I have Moe flat and regular sized high heel feet and there is quite a difference in size. The only yosd I have is the Momocolor with bigger feet and those shoes fit the Moe feet really well, which tells me regular yosd wouldn't.

SmoteyMote I tried Mr Clean, but it's definitely the magnets and I'm okay with that. She's a fae who has come to earth with a purpose so she's hiding her real self from humans, kinda like the rest of us, lol.

 

Would my mnf CHloe head look good in a chicline body or it will be to big?

 

it might work (you would need the M-line neck connector) the proportions would be a bit more anime/bobble headed

Hello all! Nice to see some familiar names--I was quite active in the pukifee and littlefee threads over a year ago, and then I left the hobby for a bit.
But now...I'm totally set on getting my first MSD, a MNF Chloe!
So far I've only had tinies!

I love the variety between busts and legs, but I'm undecided as to the legs...for those of you who own a body with cutie legs and one with model legs, have you found that you prefer one over the other? If so, why?

 

I have both the cutie and model legs, and it's truly a preference/what kind of look you are going for.
Cutie are longer by a bit, and quite curvier. They seem more "mature" to me, and I use them for my "older" characters.
Aesthetically, I love the model legs. They are shorter and don't look "bow legged". The height got to me a bit until I switched legs with my latest doll, who is meant to be younger.
