Oh no Smotey! Your Ayva is far too pretty, I can't resist. Now my girl needs a body before anyone else can get one.

 

I am now officially waiting for my very first Minifee, tan M-line Ryeon

 

Haha, hopefully DDE will be super nice about it. The tan was the second M-line I ordered, and luckily at least for my first M-line in NS, I ordered the full, just what Celestia needs.

I don't know what happened with my tan order, I probably didn't scroll and click right to confirm the option, but I knew full was the biggest. I had been looking at too many stressful finals notes that day so I blame it on that ^^; Hopefully it all turns out for the best! I'll let everyone know what DDE says! Rahhh, completely my fault though! I feel so dumb ;_;

Anyways, to cheer me up, can I get some Siean boy spam? I'm getting my Siean done as a boy. Thinking about hybriding him onto a Souldoll N.L. body, as I feel like the male minifee body is too short and stout for me. Plus I love the sculpt of the Souldoll boy body... Yum hehe

EDIT: Sadly, DDE said they couldn't make any changes since the order was already submitted to Fairyland. I hope the rest of you have better luck! Haha, maybe I should just order a tan full bust Luka as well to get the bust Just kidding. I do love how sassy Luka is though.

Ugh that happened with my Chloe's first wig but the new one was so much better, I love leekeworld but sometimes the wigs are sent are not up to par. I am so happy with the formydoll wig she wears now. Aww thank you

Lol, I am happy you like her. The funny thing is the only time I feel like she is not up to something is when I have her sleeping head on! Although I do like the fact she does look like she is up to no good.

I got her tights, well they are stockings from Beachgirlnikita on Ebay. Although I think she is on esty also!

Or she could be dreaming of being a pop star! Since her character was a pop star for a little while in my D&D game. Although she did it to brain wash people with her music.

 

I tried shopping (well... window shopping) for my incoming M-Line, but now when I finally will have a MNF.... I can't find anything I like! Except for a few things on Nine9Style and those famous brown leather boots of theirs everyone has ^^ I don't even have a single article of clothing once she arrives! And no eyes! I want to be ready when she gets here, but I don't know where else to look. Alices Collections looks too big on the photos, so I doubt it'll fit the smaller (more petite?) M-Line. Currently there's not much on etsy I like either... I can't afford the famous seamstresses at this time... this will be difficult! Taobao maybe, but I've never tried that... I expected it to be much easier, because when I only owned LTFs I always ran into cute/adorable/mature enough stuff for the MSD size.

I hope it is alright to ask here, since I am only looking for links or names to shops... where do you all buy your clothes from?

 

Some Alice Collection clothes are actually OK, although it is a very touch and go. Sometimes it is worth a gamble because they are so cheap. The dresses are too big though, I have found that to be the case with every dress I have bought from there. Here are some of my fave shops that I buy from for my Slim MSDs. I am not going to link Nine9 Style (since it is a fave) since you have already looked there:

Okay, we definitely have similar tastes. That outfit has been sitting in my Etsy wish list for AGES! Harley looks fantastic in it!!


I've done some shopping for my M-line Ante, but I really need to stop. I'm so broke!! The outfit I wanted for her from Cyrestine Creations was going to sell out though, I really needed to jump on it!! It's the lavender MLP one, if anyone also wants it. She only has materials left for roughly one more now. I ordered a wig from Light, since I was going to order my SQLab girl one and their shipping fees are... Well, painful. So she's getting the prettiest ever Hydrangea wig in the same colors as the outfit (mixture of blue, pink and lavender). Colorful girl And she's getting Converse this evening, since I made a sale on Etsy, so I have a teensie bit of funding in my PP account. I'm getting her two pairs so she can wear one lavender and one light blue shoe, to match the outfit and wig.

For my incoming Luka girl, I'm torn for names between Kennedy, Piper and Dorian. What do you guys think??

I actually shop at Alice's Collections fairly often. One dress I had was a little big, but fit fairly fine. I also had the large bust...so they would be too big on anything smaller. I have jeans from there for boys and they fit well. I also have some undies for male and female that fit well. All my shoes are from there so far, but...M-line feet are smaller.
I tend to just look on the MP for most things. I know you mentioned not having much for famous seamstresses but I think these few are afforadable inmy opinion. Crazykimochi is amazing for hoodies. I like guppykisses for hats, and have never tried her outfits. MonstroDesign I like for wigs and clothing.
Hmm...can't think of much else at least for people here. Annnd I've never owned anything from TTYA but they're clothes are cute.

I double checked my order, and Connie is definitely coming home with a glamour bust, according to my DDE order, so the only way it'll get messed up is if DDE orders her a large/full bust, even though they said 'large' in their invoice to me. It really doesn't matter, I guess? I think I'd definitely prefer the smaller of the two but I won't lose sleep over her becoming more well endowed.

I need some really good wigs in teal, kind of punk. Anyone have any leads?

She had subliminal messages in it to brain wash people. It made her happy that she could be a pop star and be evil at the same time. She even called her music "Ipop" (since our gaming table has a terrible sense of humour).

 

Well it looks like I got lucky and caught the DDE people before they put in any orders today so they switched the bust for me. *fistpump* So now I will have a tan M-line Luka coming home to me. Now I just need a name, and clothes, and eyes, and shoes... >.<

Trinity in Rainbows, Thanks so much! It's a wig from Leekeworld, that I got through DDE, I don't remember the name of it, because they don't have them in stock anymore. But it's a size 7/8, so it's fuller than it would be if it was the 6/7 size. She can wear both, but the 7/8 is always a little loose, so I usually sew them partway up the back to make the fit tighter.

Cheebee- Glad you were able to change the bust order before it went in! Good timing.

They're gonna be big. MNF have 5.5cm feet and those shoes are 6.8 cm long.

Nonaly: Do you like GYHM? Her stuff is very reasonably priced and cute. SMPdoll, Utsumi, and Cottonhoney all have some cute inexpensive separates. I've been trying to figure out how to order from Taobao because I've seen so many nice things on there.

 

You could make/buy a mohair wig (if the dead skin doesnt bother you) and maybe cut one side shorte or both to make a Mohawk? I was going to make one like that for my VE Chloe. Lol I actulley have the opposite problem with the bust. I ordered the smaller now want the large! I switch my minfee's characters because I decided that woosoo is just too sweet looking for a kick ass necromancer and woosoo big bewbs would work good for a cyberpunk club craweler...

 

You do know they are addicting right? And you can't manage to have just one? I was only ever going to have one. Now I have seven.

So Loki finally got a wig that is his actual hair colour. Still not quite crazy enough but getting better!

Hey! I'm at a crossroad... And I need some advice from fellow BJD lovers! Here's my dilemma: http://uniquely3me.blogspot.com/2013/06/help.html I can't decide what to order! And I don't know if I should try to get an M-line body or not... Hmmm... Scathatch says the more the merrier!

 

asuka_langley: That might be some sound advice. I have a few mohair wigs, so I'm used to the skin by now. The only thing is that I don't really want a lot of wavy looking hair? I want something a bit disheveled, but pretty straight. You can, in theory, take a straightener to a mohair wig, right? That sounds a bit dangerous, though, since mohair is so expensive. At any rate, it might be a good idea to look into making my own wigs? There's some really good mohair tutorials out there, and I ruined the extensions on my Mono's mohair wig (I accidentally put it through the dryer with the rest of his clothes after an accident. :s.) and I've been thinking about doing the same for him. Worst that could happen is that I'll make a horrible mistake, right?

I didn't know you had a VE Chloe! Congratulations! Are they a new arrival? What do they look like? I'd love to know! And you know, I love necromancers, too. Congrats on your own tan Woosoo, again. Maybew ours can be buddies, ha ha!

Kim: Loki's adorable! Is he on a modded girl body, or an old b-line boy body? Somehow the neck and collarbones look more slimmer than I remember on the A-line boys! His hair is cute, though, even if it isn't one hundred percent what you were looking for! The eyebrows match, at least!

Katelauren: My advice is simply to buy the m-line body, even if you have doubts, because it may be more difficult to acquire on the secondary market while they're temporarily unavailable through Fairyland. I remember when Limhwa was unavailable for awhile there, and the dolls all increased significantly in price. If you don't like it later, then it's easier to move a body on than it is to find it when it isn't being made, you know? Of course, the A-line is great, too. Aesthetically speaking. My advice is more from a hypothetical financial standpoint. Though of course, with the market being so doughy right now, where even FL bodies are cheaper than they used to be, you might find one secondary when they come in at a good price. Tough call! Good luck on it!

 

Really can't wait for more pics of the tan MNF. I was thinking of getting the M-line but decided against it because of the proportions. Hopefully, I'd get to see the tan before it goes away in August xD

 

He's on a cutie bust A line body. Loki's a genderqueer shapeshifting god who prefers masculine pronouns but he's rocking some cute boobs right now cause I like how slender the girl body makes him. And he likes having them.

I am hoping to find him a really wild carrot mohair wig someday to style, but this one will work for now. Good fiery orange carrot wigs are so hard to find for some reason.

Kim: I understand! I like the idea particularly for a doll named Loki, because it tips a hat to classic Loki from mythology, if you ask me. Will you (or do you?) have a Thor, as well? I'd also love to see more genderqueer/fluid/properly represented interesex/non-binary dolls more often, so it's neat to see your boy. And of course, the fact that he's a Juri 2011 makes him even more perfect. That smile!

As for the wig, I thought I'd seen some quite a long time ago, possibly through Sunny's World (was that actually the name of the store?) or even dollga or from Migidoll, when they release wigs. Carroty hair, or ESPECIALLY wild and curly hair, is definitely hard to find. There also might be some mohair suppliers on ebay and etsy who do carry a fiery carrot colour (I'm always looking for dolls, for the same reason) and you might luck out if you do a search on there. If I see any curly wigs (that is what you're looking for, right?) that I'm reminded of, I'll post a link or something.

I have a tinybear (I think) wig thats messy wavy but it was $20 so kinda expensive. Ive been thinking about straighting some mohair for a OT doll Ill tell you if it works. im lucky my spouse is crafty and can help me make wigs and such. Yeah Ive had a Chloe for a long time and I almost sold her because I bought a Feeple. But in the end I loved my little mnf Chloe more. I want to put her on a doll chateau girl body soon, just have to save up for awhile. She gone through a few different styles but i'm plan on her to be more grunge punky...

 

He is my myth!Loki doll so he is supposed to represent the actual god, as opposed to my Marvel Loki, who is currently out getting a faceup. I will be ordering a Thor, but he's gonna be Marvel Thor and not actual myth!Thor. It'd just be waaaaaay too hard to get him right and he has to have his big red beard or he's not Thor!

Yeah I am looking for a good curly mohair wig that I can style. I may try that glue technique that is popular right now with loose mohair myself and see how it goes.

Hey Rikki! I used to do hot-glue sueding a lot but that was back when I had Delfs. I think on small MNF joints it might get a bit clunky unless you're really experienced, because it would need to be spread very thin and evenly. I would recommend looking into sueding traditionally with pliver. Pliver is a very thin leatherlike material that is soft and very easy to work with, but creates a slightly less slippery surface in the joints. I have a ton so if you'd like a bit for your girl you can PM me and I'll send you some.

Fairlyland has released a Juri head pretty much every year since 2008, right? Any ideas if/when they'll do a summer event this year?

 

Yes, I am getting addicted to everything... But I hope I will be able to resist MNFs for a while and concentrate on her, I don't own many non fantasy dolls and I am not sure if she will be a "fashion" girl or also become a fantasy character. That's why I ordered her blank, gives me lots of time to find out what to do with her

 

CP has released Juri heads almost every year since 2005. They didn't release one in 2009 and they some years release more than one in the same year. The Juri heads don't always stay the same size. 3 have been MNF, but the latest two from 2012 were for Feeple65 and Feeple60. The Juri event is traditionally CP's christmas event, but some years the Juri event happens at other times.

In short, I have no clue if there will be a Juri this year, when it will be released or what size it will be released in.

 

I know the Nanuri head used to be the summer gift... Only two of the Nanuris were MNF sized but with last year them doing so many events, I'm not sure what will happen.
