Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 34

Do the more recent Minifees (some of them, depending on the sculpt, I guess) still have the black dots at the corners of their lips on the default faceup?

I'm asking because of Rheia in particular. Could I get rid of them somehow or at least 'fade' them, so they're not as dark and noticeable? I searched on flickr for default Rheias and it didn't bother me most of the time, but on some photos, depending on the angle, light and mood, it bothered me so much!

Maybe I could ask Fairyland to not put those dots on her? It wouldn't change the whole faceup or be too much trouble, I hope! (I believe those who want PKF Ante can also ask to leave the freckles out if they don't want them? ^^)

 

My Rheia boy "Urban" wears 12mm glass eyes. I like the iris and pupil size but there is a little gapping so I may try more of a 13mm or flatter eye at some point.

 

wait... which sculpts have teeth showing? Only Celine?

 

Celine, Breakaway, and the Vampire sculpts are the only sculpts I'm aware of that have visible teeth. .3.

Those are 14mm in the picture I posted ^^. I put in an order for an M-Line Miyu, I'm very excited to see people getting the M-lines home and posting pictures until then I guess I will just enjoy who I do have home like Siean...she Pushed Boe off her body so I suppose she'll stay. Which means naming her. I'm so bad at that.



Nonaly: Maybe you could just request them to not put the dots? Fairyland has always been super accommodating for me when I've got questions or requests

Coming out of lurkerdom to add to the discussion - Nonaly, my Rheia came home in late May and has the default faceup. The small dots bothered me at first, but I've grown to like them.

lilcricketnoise, I saw and admired your Rheia on flickr already, and I'm super happy her lips don't seem to be as dark as the 'older' ones I've seen. Some were more brown, others more red, but yours is a perfect shimmery pink! I can't remember where, but I read that the default faceups in general are getting lighter, like Chloe's default lips. Not sure about that, though...

I hope its not too late to get an M-Line MNF, because I want to order in a few hours... so, in korean time, Saturday, the 29th already...

I'm more than curious for the first M-Line's to arrive though, because I want those nice MNF-shoes and boots, and not the child-like YoSD shoes! (No offense ^^) Speaking of shoes, does anyone know if the M-Lines could wear the normal MNF feet? Would make shoe shopping easier, right?

 

Hi, I was wondering if I can request some more Celine spam. I'm waiting for mine to arrive in the mail. I can't wait to see mine. I'm very curious about her teeth, and what they look like in person. I LOVE all the pictures here. I find them very inspirational !

The m-line can wear normal mnf feet you just have to buy them separately. Here is a link.

 

Pretty sure that the "magnetic normal feet" fairyland sells are meant to possibly replace the M-line feet. so your M-line girl can wear normal minifee shoes. They also sell the heel feet as magnetic, along with a new magnetic ankle piece so if you wanted to drop a hundred bucks or so you could outfit your A-line girls with magnetic feet.

On the subject of lip corner dots, they used to bother me at first. A lot. But now I find they give some extra definition to the mouth that's not there without them. I've painted almost all my girls with them, although I do agree the trick is to make them subtle. I'm sure FL would make them a bit lighter or more red/pink for you if you ask. I know they don't do full-on custom faceup requests, but that's just a tiny modification.

There have been so many M-line and tan orders going in lately, I'm so excited to see all the new arrivals! I know it's going to be ages before my girls ship and it's driving me a bit crazy. I may have spontaneously bought a Yder head from the marketplace to help hold me over. Of course this means I'm a body short again... I dunno, when I look at the blank Yder head I see female. And when I see the blank Siean head I see male. Of course once they're all painted up Yder's make great boys and Siean make wonderful girls (CrescentBunny your Siean is GORGEOUS!).
I play a little game with my fiance, and I show him pictures of dolls I like and he swears they're all girls, regardless of whether or not they actually are. I showed him a picture of the blank Yder head and he actually sees that one as male. Go figure. Maybe I'll have to *gasp* actually buy a male body for this head? That sounds like dangerous territory, bringing a lone male into a house of (soon to be) 7 girls... I could see my OCD mind wanting to even the numbers out and the next thing you know.. BAM! 14 minifee! *shot*

lilcricketnoise - Ahh love your Rheia! Rheia's default faceup is I think my favourite from Fairyland. Are her ears the one from Leeke? I've been admiring those for a while but wondered how they'd actually look on a minifee, but they look fantastic on your girl!

it might just be personal preference, but I've found so so many more shoe options for my incoming M-line girl than I've found in the past 3 years for the A-line feet. I do have a total addiction to teensie Yosd shoes, so I'm over the moon I decided to get my M-line girl! Especially small boots and converse and Doc Martins, awwww. Bigger shoes will look weird on those teensie feet (well, open ones at least) so if you want the pretty MNF shoes I think getting the bigger magnetic feet would be your best option. It's what they're for, thankfully FL realised the small feet wouldn't be for everyone

And yup, I may or may not also have bought a head to help ease the wait In my defense, it's my absolute dream Luka, previously owned by Cacauflower. My eyes nearly fell out of my head when I noticed her for sale. I couldn't afford her in full, but when she put only the head up I didn't have a choice Thankfully my husband agreed and lent me the money, because A. I ordered my M-line Ante the same day and B. I've never paid so much for just a head. Worth every penny though! Now I'll have to figure out a body for her (sharing will be in order) and I want a nice name for her. Something that sounds like Luka or Noah or something similar (I have dolls with those names already, that's why she can't have them). Any idea's?

 

I would add that the M-Line is an inch shorter than the A-Line, so some shoes that already look a touch big on the A-line will probably look even bigger on the M-Line because of the height difference.

Edit: I'm still looking for more mature shoes for the M-Line feet, I'm heading off to Taobao next!

I didn't know the breakaway's had teeth showing...at least in the MNF size. I was only aware of Celine and the Vampires.

Could I ask for some VE Woosoo (boy or girl?) spam? I'm afraid I just put one on layaway with DDE. She'll be on the tan M-line body for me. I couldn't resist ordering it before it was discontinued! I'm revamping and shelling out a character I made in elementary school. :') I feel kind of nerdy but really excited, regardless. Even if I'm not certain what to do with her or where her story is going, since ai've reworked it to be more mature. But better safe than sorry, right? Her name is Connie. She's a vampire and big fan of comics and pokemon. I don't have a lot of modern dolls, so I'm looking forward to the experience.

I like to put REALLY small eyes in my dolls. Does anyone have VE Woosoo in 8/10mm eyes? It's okay if there are gaps on the edges of the 8mm eyes. I rarely notice them and always use 8mm for my sleepy MNFs.

I JUST ordered and I'm super nervous! On the order status page there are two orders! One with just the doll, a NS M-Line Rheia, and one where I added two pairs of hands! Now, obviously I want the second, more expensive one where I included the hands. Does that mean I'll get everything double now? So, two M-Line dolls? Also the process says 'pending credit card'. What does that mean? I paid with paypal and I guess that everything's okay. BUT, on the paypal page I see that I payed the smaller amount, the one without the hands! Now I am confused! Maybe I should just wait?
It's been two years since I ordered from Fairyland, so I don't remember the whole process!

Edit: I just described my problem with the two orders (and two order numbers!) to them on their customer board! Hopefully they'll understand I put everything in the very same shopping cart at the very same time. Which means I went to checkout only once!)

Guys, I am so sad! I was negotiating the purchase of one of my incoming twins' bodies, and there was a snag! I have to head back to the beginning of the hunt (rats, I have to spend more time on the MP... :wink), but could I throw out the call again for twin or even sibling spam to spur me onward?

Nonaly: But it sounds like you paid for the first order, so perhaps you should cancel the second, then tell the Q/A that you meant to order additional hands and you'd like to be charged for them? I'm sure they'll work it out for you, though.

Wennie: Goodness, your girl is a sweet little muffin! I'm glad the sculpt is so sweet! I would love to see her face full on, too. Does she have the default faceup? And thank you for the compliment on my boy!

 

She's here!! My PukiPuki is here! Thanks to Ban...it sealed the deal. My MNF now has one of her daughters. (Though I might change the mother sculpt to a Luka.) Now all she has to wait on is her lover and other daughter both in tan! So happy!

Aw, thank you for posting more! I think I like the human face-up better than the vampire default! Your girl is so cute! I'm not certain how mine will turn out, ha!

 

Always happy to spam my girls I'm not sure about the vampire default either, but the custom things I've seen people do are amazing! And thank you!

My shushu came last year with those corner dots and I just VERY VERY carefully took the blunt edge of an exact-o knife to them and scraped them off, no harm done to the lips. I dislike them as well.

But I would definitely ask FL if they would mind not bothering with so simple a modification. You might get lucky.

 

I used to hate the eyelid lines on the default Shushu faceup, and once asked them not to put the lines on, and they did. You may get lucky?

 

I tried some 10mm glass eyes in my Siean, Ayva. I was surprised they fit!!

I've just placed my order for my new Chloe and Miyu. So excited. I was sad when I sold them cause it felt odd, but so glad I'm getting them how I envision them, though I am a little bit nervous about the full bust for my Chloe on the A-Line body. Just a might worried it might not work or be worse fitting than the large bust (since it did have problems locking into place) or that I might not like how she looks with them. But I think everything will be okay.

I know my Miyu is going to be perfect though because I want her to be short and small busted, and I've actually grown to love the small chubby feet. I was searching on etsy and it seems like there's quite a lot of nice shoes available for that size. I did buy some normal magnetic feet (mainly for my A-Line body, so I can switch to heeled feet easily) so I can just switch them out if I want her to wear a specific pair of shoes. I'm so excited though. This is my first Fairyland order (since all my dolls previous were second hand). I'm looking forward to being the first owner of these dolls. :3

I'm a bit in shock I ordered a tanned VE woosoo last night. Woosoo was my first doll so Im glad im getting her back. I didnt expect to get her at all so I don't know if I'll believe it till she shows up. lol I also ask woosoo owners what eyes do you put in them? Im about to make a custom eye order and rather smaller iris was thinking 12 or so... Also is their head the same size as a miyu or a VE Chloe? Wanted to make her wig ahead of time

 

Nonaly - Thank you! I love her faceup too, I was so excited at how awesome it was. I'm sure if you asked Fairyland to lighten the little dots they will, I asked them to send my Rheia with blue eyes and they did. It was just unfortunate that they were humongous.

karrigankat - Thank you so much! Yes, her ears are the bunny ears from Leekeworld. I think they work great! I also have the fox ears that will eventually go on my Seian.

asuka_langley: Ha ha, what a coincidence, we ordered the same doll! This won't help you for now, but when I get my girl in I can definitely tell you how big her head will be in comparison to a VE Chloe. Congrats on the new addition! You have good taste!

 

Just realized that I picked the wrong bust *headdesk* The glamour bust is the smaller one, all this time I thought that was the really big one. Hopefully they can change it at DDE before they submit the orders to FL.

Oh man... I went back to check and I realized I ordered the glamour bust instead of the full bust for my tan doll. I could cry! Ahhh T_T Hopefully when they come in I could find someone to swap with me

 

Oh no! it's an honest mistake thought. In other companies glamour bust is the largest size they offer but Fairyland made it a bit confusing by having a "full bust" as well. I'm sorry, I extremely OCD so I double check and triple check (and so on) all my orders lol. Good luck :/

 

Yes, the whole Glamour/Full bust thing is very confusing. PuffyPuffers they may be able to change it if you went through FL, how long ago did you order?

I ordered on my birthday, the 13th. I did message DDE. I'll be hoping for the best!

 

It's 16.0 cm, while the Large bust is 16.5. You should be able to order the same sized things and be okay. I'm just hoping so hard that they see my email before they submit orders.

 

Am I the only one that can't make sense out of this? lol and then DDE has them as "glamour" and "large". I ordered it large assuming that's the "full" bust.

 

I would definitely e-mail FL and ask if you can change busts, they're usually accommodating about small changes since they want you to be happy with your doll

 

I think that's kind of what had me confused. The 'Large" one is the "full" one, there is another picture where it is labeled full. I just wasn't paying attention.

 

I ordered through DDE though. Would have preferred to do it through FL but much smaller paychecks until September when school starts again.

I also think I may have possibly made a mistake in my order; I wanted the medium glamour bust, and I may have ordered full -- I thought I caught it, but in DDE's email it said that the just I ordered was 'large', so I don't know if they mean 'full' or just 'large' as in 'extra large' for the full bust. In the worst case scenario, it seems it may be easy for me to fix that later.

I remember when I ordered my Soom Mogma, I knew I wasn't keeping the wings and I was sanding off the breasts, and I lucked out finding a person to swap torsos with later. Who knows, though? I'm not too fixed on her breasts. The big ones (if that's what I ordered because idk) might suit her in the end... or whatever she ends up having. Not even a male torso would surprise me.

Am I one of the few that realized the full bust was the giant bust? I mean its also labeled E bust. I mean yeah glamour is common for big ones at other places but I felt the labeled well. I also only pay attention to the bust a, b, c, d, e. Since that is correct and goes smallest to largest.
Also the fairyland large bust is the second biggest. It goes: cutie, small, glamor, large, full.

There's also a chance they can change it or maybe someone to swap. I'm exited to get mine.

 

I have 14 mm in my human girl, so I think 12 mm in the VE would work great. And congrats on your order!

DDE have them listed as Glamour and Large, but right when ordering it shows a picture of Glamour and FULL (with the words Glamour and Full above). I'm assuming they listed the Full as Large by mistake so I would contact them and say because it wasn't listed as Full you got confused, though they might argue and say there's a picture that shows that the Glamour bust is the smaller one. I think if they're understanding they should sort it out!

 

PuffyPuffers-I'm glad to hear i'm not the only one confused by the labels on the pictures. I think I just accidentally ordered the 'large' bust (so the giant ones >.<) instead of the smaller bust like I wanted. I emailed DDE literally ten minutes after I put in the order when I was scrolling through this thread and realized my possible mistake. Hopefully they'll let me change it, if not I will remain hopeful that I either love the giant bust or that someone is willing to swap. ^.^;;

Weh, thank you! I'm looking into some different (still ginger) wigs for her - I like this one but there is a... "lump" in the back (one of sections of hair sticks out). I can usually get it down long enough for shoots but it's frustrating to say the least! Ahaha.

OH MY GOSH, I'm so sorry you guys. It is confusing and I hope that either a) your orders manage to get fixed (if you ordered direct from fairyland message them right away!) or that you end up loving the bust that arrives!
