Yes, I'll be sewing bedding for it. I already made a mattress but that's essentially just a piece of Fairyland-box-foam cut to the right size, with white fabric glued around it . Haha!

 

I am a bit weird with elves. I don't like what are traditional elves like Lord of the Rings and things like that, I think I prefer my elves a bit messed up! I like the Dragon Age city elves because they are so different to how elves normally are in terms of how they act. I also tend to like D&D drow which are evil corrupted elves. I only actually have 2 elf characters as a whole one is Xyphos who I have explained. The other is Ico, who race wise is a high elf, but she is pretty evil and messed up.

Lol, it depends on the setting to if elves are shorter or not. Some of them tend to be taller and slimmer then humans, others tend to be very short, it depends on the setting they are from. I know in older D&D they were short. These days they tend to be a bit taller. Although character wise Ico is short, and very short for an high elf.

I hope so too, plus in a way I like to give my dolls a different body if I can, but still try and keep slim MSD so they can share clothes and look like adults still. Since a lot of my characters are adults. Like Ico is one of my younger ones at 21 and Xyphos is 25, but she has a human life span. My Drow characters are at least 40's.

I am a little in awe of those of you who have specific characters and know exactly what you are looking for when purchasing dolls. Me? I'm like "Ooooh, pretty doll! Must buy!".

 

I'm really disappointed they will be discontinuing the M-Line, even if only temporarily. I'll have to see if I can pull together the funds to get a body before they are gone!

Yeah every one is different and it is a hobby after all, it is meant to be fun! So there is no right or wrong way to do things. A couple of dolls I own are because I did go ooh pretty, which I didn't think I would do when I first got into the hobby! However one thing that really appealed to me about this hobby is the fact that I could turn my characters into a physical form since you have so much choice so you can find out that fits your idea's then customise it to be what ever you want it to be.

I have always drawn my characters, but to me I think there is something extra specail about having a doll of them. I have far more character then I ever plan to have dolls, however some characters mean more to me then others. Plus I do actually like dolls for being pretty too!

 

Eveline - Thank you so much! I really love making them even though I'm not the best at it. It's alpaca hair, so soft! I cant wait to see the bed finished! I wish I could make something like that for my girls!

Kolombe - Thank you. Yep, the cap is just made from fabric and glue. They are really pretty easy to make, just takes a lot of patience which I lack, LOL!

Midnightferret - She's so pretty. I love her expression. I know what you mean about the new body. My husband is going to kill me, but I might have to put one on layaway with DDE.

I'm like that too. They just evolve and it's like I have no influence on their caracters. I even once had one I had to sell because she hated me. I have no idea why, she just did.

She arrived with the bright blue eyes others have been receiving, but I decided to go with a smaller size instead. These are 14 mm.

Man, Celine is just beautiful. I have a thing for dolls with teeth (Volks F-08, Breakaway, Serendipity Alice, Unoa Lusis, etc). I think she'll be added to my "eventually" list. She's just too pretty. Possibly as a sister to my Chloe, or maybe brother (a Celine boy might be interesting...)

Aww!! Thanks, Evelien, and btw, my girl wears a 7-8" wig, but I fixed it by nipping the extra in back to exclusively fit her head without slipping off. I got the larger size because I wanted the longer, fuller looking wig honestly. I'm excited to see your msd dollhouse. I'm working on a sd version dollhouse.

I've just scrolled through the previous pages and wow, so many gorgeous girls out there. I haven't had a girl yet but am hopefully finishing the layaway I have going for one now. I am quite excited to have a girl in the family! (she's a KDF Ttori head on a minifee body, so I think technically she'd go in the kdf section right? >.< Not entirely sure...but anyway!)

And also, Elcia, thanks so much for the info! I was thinking it was 14mm but wasn't sure. I've checked out the link and I'm not entirely sure which size I should go with so we'll see! And I will spam him for sure! I've been in love with him for awhile now and am definitely looking forward to taking photos of him, hopefully I can get him a proper wig soonish though. xD

Thank you for your comments on my Sidonie, everyone.

I'm not sure I'll keep her fullset. All I really wanted from it were the wig and shoes. (Those shoes are to die for!) The rest consists of a number of fussy pieces. It took me a full half-hour to get her dressed!

 

Can anyone tell me if there's a place to see the comparison between the old A-line bodies and the new Moe body for girls?
I haven't been very active with keeping track on the companies so I don't know how behind my questions are.

 

Fairyland havent posted one as far as im aware, so there isnt one, unfortunately!

 

Like Allstar said FL has not posted one, and since they are new there are no owner photo's for people to show off yet.

 

Andreja - Wow, she is one beautiful girl, and that wig is just fabulous!

I'm not too keen on the MNF Ante sculpt (though I've never been a fan of Ante with default faceup, so maybe I'll change my mind when she gets shipped out and we have some original faceups floating around), but man, I adore her boots!

I have always liked drow characters too and first had much exposure to the elves through fantasy games. I *do* like LOTR elves as well, but they aren't necessarily my favorites ^_^ I wonder if FL will ever do any drow colored resin? That would be neat since they are a company with a fantasy name!

I doubt they would ever do drow coloured (or even a light grey) resin to be fair since people are pretty much begging for tan resin and there is no hint that we will get it. For a company with a fantasy name, I do wish they would do more fantasy dolls too. Even more elves would be awesome. It could be also cool to see dolls with horns and things like that.

I know a lot of people who do tend to like elves, tend to like the whole package and tend to be inspired by the whole LOTR thing. I think because I have been exposed to a lot of fantasy I can be less keen. I don't really like dwarves that much either for the same reason. Although given the choice elves are much better all the way! However I really like to see interest takes on them, I think it is why D&D Eladrin can be interesting, they seem pretty nasty for elves at times.

Fairyland suspending a line is pretty much the same as them discontinuing the line by their definition and since they kindadid the same thing with chic line and we have seen maybe a couple le drops with it and one chance order period... being very rare

 

But with the Chiclines they stated that they didn't have enough customer interest in them. So that line clearly failed. The M-Line hasn't had a chance to fail yet.

 

Well I'm sad...I really liked the M body but there's no way I'm going to have time to order before they "suspend" it. I guess I won't be getting another MNF after all. In the long run I guess it's good? Now I can save $$ XD

I was bad and put a M-Line girl on 4 month layaway through DDE so I could have one while the M-lines are still around! I wasn't going to miss the opportunity to get that body before it was gone for lord knows how long! So Kier will have a sister hopefully in the next couple of months! Now to just figure out if I want to mod elf ears on her myself or send her to someone x-x

 

Maybe they decided to hold off on offering the new F60 guy until they catch up on what's already ordered.

I wanted to get an M-line body for my Siean event head. Now I'm not sure I'll have the money in time. At the rate FL is going, I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled the M-line early.

 

Yep I'm worried about that too, I really wanted to hold out for a smaller bust size but I might have to go ahead and put an M-line on layaway and swap the bust size for an A-line cutie bust later. (not sure what head to order with the body yet)

edit: just realized that an M-line Luka would make a really great little sister for my Juri 08, I'm so in trouble!

 

Does anyone know if the arms for the M-line and A-line are the same ones?

 

Erratic They seem to be. Both A-line and M-line Shoulder width is 8.0/3.1 (cm/inches) and from shoulder to wrist 12.0/4.7 (cm/inches)

Hmm, I wonder if Fairyland is going to start having to have ordering periods to take control of the demand?

 

Even if they do that, it would be in vain in my opinion. The amount of people who would order during their ordering periods would give them a great backlog, at least this way they're kinda spread apart. They'll kind of become like Lati with 5 months waiting times if they start doing ordering periods =3=; What they should really do is hire more working hands.
