And it's official! My friend (merili) & I did a group order together! We qualify for both event heads, so she's getting Yder and I'll be getting Siean! *squeeeeeeeeeeeee*

Happyjoydance time! Hopefully I'll get some new pictures of my dollies tomorrow, it's been pretty gloomy here.

That's awesome Tina! I can't wait to see what you come up with. Your dolls always have be drooling after more MNF. I still want a Karsh of my own, but so far I have been resisting the temptation to try & bond with a boy doll.

I'm doing a GO with a friend too and I'll be getting the Siean event head I just had to see her in person for myself. I don't have a character for her though I do have one she 'could' be. I'm just thinking she'll be too great all done up to be a minor character ... ah well, we shall see. Maybe I'll bring Shadow back to life !

 

Drive by Juri 08 Spam to mark my entry to this crazy group. I..am NOT a mini person. I like my big boys. But I always swore a Juri 08 would be the exception. Of course, they're impossible to find and super expensive. So when I was presented the chance to get this little girl, I jumped. I have to thank thepeachpeddler for being AMAZING and letting me do a layaway to bring her home.



I have..nothing for her! LOL! I don't OWN this size! But she's already ordered some clothes of her own and we're shopping for wigs and eyes. For fellow Juri owners, what wig size do you find fits best? She seems to be kind of an inbetween head size. But that could just be me. Haha. We're hoping for some pictures of the new event heads because we may order some new hands..and a friend or two. This is worse than Pukifees!!!

 

Me too! it's almost 2 weeks since the event started and I'm still on pins and needles!

 

I've used 7-8 on my Juri 08, but some wigs may need a rubber band around the head under them if they run a little big.

 

I love all Juris, but 08's smile has to be the cutest of all

my girl will be sleeping for a while, while the open-eyed faceplate goes to a friend's spa to get a nice faceup. I need to think of a name for her, I don't like having nameless girls around but this one is proving to be difficult to name

AHHH I finally got my Ryeon home. I'm so excited. It's too dark for photos though so I'm going to take some tomorrow. But I'm so excited to have her home!

She came with a Sleeping head too but I'm wondering whether to keep it. I don't really get much use out of them. It's painted to match the OE head though and I kinda like it, but I am going to be repainting the OE head at some point. Ah well we'll see! Just so glad to have her here. Next week I should have the wig making supplies to start working on her wig. Can't wait!

Wish FL would show the event head pics. Even if I can't do an order I'd love to see them.

 

me too. the only time i got an event head i got ordered before the pictures went up. i was a fairyland newbie so i just did an image search for "juri" fell in love with the juri 'o8 head and then got the juri 11 instead. big disappointment! i'm sure if i'd known what i was getting it wouldn't have been such a let down. that poor head is still stuck in the box down in the basement waiting for me to do something with it!

 

Really? That's sad. I love the Juri 11 head and have been looking for one for a long time, but I never seem to have money when one is available in the marketplace. It's would complete my MNF juri collection.

 

Awe but Juri '11 can be so cute when done right! Garrett said he can vouch for that!

 

I think the Juri 11 is cute! I don't know that I have a place for one in my collection, but I found it charming! Hopefully you can find a way to love it and have it join your doll horde. Have you tried looking at the databases? There are some different ideas of what to do with a Juri 11 that I've seen! We should get more Juri 11 spam; maybe you'll find something to love in it.

Alogue: Kier is such a hadsome devil! I never liked Mirwen until I saw him as a boy! I also really adore your Garrett! I need an 11 boy someday! I swear mine was supposed to be! Garrett's horns and cute grin are totally up my alley!

Sage is will be going away to the face-up artist soon and I'm super excited about it but also kinda sad to see her go even if it's only for a little bit. Oh well she'll come back all pretty and more like her self!

All day at work I've been thinking about my incoming boy and it's driving me nuts. Hopefully he will be here on Monday, but we'll see.

Ahh!!! I totally know your pain!!! My first MNF will be here on Monday and I can't stop stalking her tracking!!! I'm soo super excited to really join this thread and to share my new girl with everyone! *squee* I also love everyone else's pictures! This is one of my favorite places to lurk in on DoA.

 

Today I checked CS Center and found a FL reply which said the photo would probably be released next Monday. What a long wait!

By the way, since there was a Lunar new year holiday in February, how long would it take to finish orders placed in January?

I'm a little late in answering but my Juri 08 wears Leeke's 6/6.5 and Wig Wing's 6~7 perfectly. I think if you go mohair you may have to go up a size, b/c so far all the ones I have in 6/7 do not fit her!

Lurking while I wait for those photos. I've been dying to order my Mirwen but we'll see if Chloe will be replaced by Siean or Yder.

Unfortunately, if none of the event heads appeal to me I'll probably hold off since I don't really have the funds right now to be placing such a huge order.

Here's a shot of what I refer to as the Fairyland colour rainbow - with the aid of my light tan Chicline, Mithras. Although, my WS MNF, Sol, is a little older, so he's gone a bit creamier than the new WS, which is more paper white.
WS is my Luka, Sol; NS is one of my Lishes, Bellona Lua; light tan is my Chicline Fabilis, Mithras; and dark tan is my other Lishe, Magna Dea. (Even though you can't see their faces, lol.)

That's really useful to see the variety of different skin tones- I'd absolutely love to get a MNF Celine at some point and really adore white skin but am worried about bonding with an MSD size girl. *blush* Since normal skin seems to be more popular, would it be easier to try her for size as it were, in that resin?? <--- just thinking if (worst case scenario) she needed rehomed there'd be more interest.....

No problems! I would go for the resin colour you want rather than thinking about resale, and anyway, I'm sure there would be several people who would happily buy a MNF Celine, regardless of the skin colour.

Well they did... or they do - both of mine are tans which CP cast in. They just don't do it very often, I think simply because the tans are unreliable, and because people complain about the quality of tan dolls, which aren't always as good as NS dolls. The light tan was only ever released in Chicline, for a limited event in 2011. The darker tan was cast in conjunction with Luts and is in several different MNF and 60cms - the Lishe, El, Shiwoo and Chiwoo in both MNF and 60cm and DES in 60cm and Soo in MNF. (at least I think its that way around, I always forget since they're different!)

Here's another look at NS, WS and the darker tan... this is five of my six Minifee. My BA is away at the spa.

I think TPR covered it pretty well in her post:

Basically, tan dolls sometimes turn odd colors, or have blotches with incorrect/inconsistent colors, and sanding the seams can cause an uneven color. it causes more problems than it solves, so it's usually easier to just..not...do them.

Thanks for the answers about the juri 08 head size. I'm still trying to pick a wing style/color but at least now I'll know what sizes to buy. ..She also already picking out new friends.

They haven't said, but heads released as event heads rarely go into al a carte - I think the last was DES and that was years ago.

Lol I actually like the elf ears XD Siean looks more like a guy to me for some reason.. maybe with a faceup it would look like a girl. Yder looks the same as the Delf version which I expected lol.
I will Val and the event heads should be here sometime in April hopefully!

 

Yeah Siean does look more masculine, I quite like that one though. Might have to keep an eye out on the MP for one once the time comes. lol

 

I am super pleased with Siean -- perfect for a boy, which I wanted - even without vampire teeth. The outside eyewells need some more definition I think, but the face is very nice! I was underwhelmed with Yder -- I don't think he looks much like Yder, but he does look like Karsh - but I still think I want both. Maybe a million Sieans. I have always wanted identical twins!

OH MY GOODNESS. I love Yder so much - its such a mature sculpt! I think I am going to end up having to wait for one to appear on the MP, cause there is no way I can afford $600 on a full doll right now just to get an event head. I mean, I'm still saving up for Nyne's man as it is!

 

Aaah Siean is gorgeous! So glad I'll be getting one with my F60 ^^
