Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 29

I just picked up my first minifees (shushu &miyu) from the post office *squee* ^_^
can't open them til Christmas though :P

 

I hope Mirwen looks good with Karsh because I have Karsh (poor boy stills needs a face up) and I will be ordering Mirwen during the current FL event.

I think the MNF nanuri looks like a LTF Luna o.0 I never particularly liked luna, so naturally i don't really like the nanuri either.
I like pouty, but i don't like something so frowny. The LTF is cute but her makeup doesn't really..do her justice.

Grrr..If only i had money. :C

 

I'm in the same boat XD I'm trying to figure out if I would really use extra hands for my LTF if I bought some but I dunno right now.. If only I had the funds for another MNF body I'd have been set.

 

Does Fairyland still ship for free if it's over $600? That would make up for most of that $70 if they do!

I'm liking the LTF gift face there but I don't have the money to order anything right now, and I'm trying to cut down on floating heads/faces, not add to them! I do need a MNF boy body, though. I'm down to 3 floating heads I think, one is not a major character so I don't care if she's just a head, one is SD size and just not a big deal (plus he needs a new faceup), but my Karsh and Elf Shiwoo boy are sharing bodies still and that's a little annoying!

 

I'm pretty sure it's $820 now for free shipping from them.

 

Wow, while I'm not a big fan of the faceups, the Nanuri sculpts themselves are just gorgeous... Is it just me, or have Winter/X-Mas events this year been extremely outstanding? xD Luckily for me, I just paid off my 2nd layaway payment for my Mirwen boy, so I don't have funds for anyone else.

 

edit: I figured it out, and I feel really silly now.

BUT I still do have one more question. Will we get to choose what free head we receive or will it be random?

It looks like there is a link on the front page to an item called Event - Nanuri(2013). I am assuming that is what it means by adding the gift. I've never ordered from fairyland, but i'm assuming they have a way for you to add a comment to the order that you could specify the event sculpt.

 

You need to add the Event head of your choice (assuming you qualify for the one you want) to your cart

 

yeah if you don't add the event head you don't get one....

 

right but if I add a minifee head, can I decide what sculpt I will receive? do I just add my choice to the comments area like Jainatina mentioned or will it be a random MNF head no matter what?

 

Oh! You will get the nanuri 2013 event head that can be seen Here. I believe it comes blank though.

Ugh, that kind of stinks. I guess the shipping has gone up enough they had to do that, though.

I STILL have not found time to finish the faceup on my MNF Shiwoo, or to even start the faceup on my newest doll. I love this time of year but I'm so busy!!! I was hoping to get a lot done today and take photos tomorrow and Monday, but I wasn't home at all today and won't be much tomorrow either.

 

I'm excited about the event, I really like the scuplt, so I'm thinking about ordering the pukifee with my minifee to qualify. I wanted to order it sometime in the next year also.

Does anyone have any experience/trouble ordering the event items through DDE or is it just the same as through Fairyland? I want to be able to put them on layaway to pay, but I don't want something to happen and not get the event through them for some reason...

 

you can get the event items through dde as well. you just tell them which one you want and you have to order by the last friday night of the sale, since they put the orders in every saturday

I just saw the new thread and I' am not sure what to think about the new event head.
I just don't like the face-up she has on the photo's but I also know a different face-up can totally change your doll.

I've ordered all my bjd dolls through DDE and have had no problems. I've never ordered directly from FL or ordered during an event so I can't comment on that part. I too, am planning a minifee order for the event. I'm debating on whether to order extra for my minifee or to order a pukifee or a pukipuki too. They are so cute!

I've always had good communication from DDE so I wouldn't expect any problems with the event piece as long as you remember to put what you want in the comments section. It's the way I'll be ordering my dolls for the event, so we'll see how it goes.

Hey guys! I need help! I'm considering a Karsh for my character because I absolutely LOOOVE his ears and facial proportions. I do, however, have a tiny problem. Az, the character in question, is a smirky snarky jerk. But with most Karshes I've seen, they seem solemn and almost sad or pouty. SO, does anyone have smiley/smirky Karsh pictures for me? It'd help a TON.

Ever since i let my MNF Chloe by Andreja go due to financial/real life reasons, i have been hoping and dreaming that i could one day own her again. She was the one sale i completely regretted.
One day an amazing friend of mine in the hobby offered to trade her girl to me, and thus she arrived today! ^o^
Her name is Raine, or Rin for short. I'm so in love with her ♥ She has a very special spot in my heart and is a very important doll to me. She's exactly what i hoped for for so long and i am incredibly happy with her, so i couldn't resist sharing her

Grief, I was wondering why I hadn't gotten any new notifications in my inbox ... *head desk* New thread and I'm already 8 pages behind. Well, I had a good excuse - I had a few commissions to complete, Christmas shopping, kindergarten parties ... UGH - I need a vacation !!! I did manage to try my hand at crocheting though - managed to make this scarf for Amy. It's not the best but I'm content.

As for 2013 BJD plans - I'm not interested in the new gal (though I'd surely be tempted by a Siean). I'm pretty happy with the size of my family now - I just need a body for Falyn (and her sparring partner) and a fourth RP face for my collection. I'm really, REALLY hoping no new 'must-have' dolls come out !!! I don't have the money or room for any more MSDs

Waah, my sister wants the new MNF Nanuri head. I am considering getting Lock's body to help her towards that goal. I wish that they gave a hand choice for just the bodies though! I have so many pairs of #7 hands already.

Hey, do you mind me if i ask one thing? :O one day, i was on fairyland's site and i noticed that there is event nanuri. And i was thinking that is Nanuri doll or just head or what. Is Nanuri like 'new' Juri? :O I was just wondering, so please, if you know about it more, could you tell me?

 

Nanuri and Juri both refer to the time of the year that they were released--I forget which means which, but one is (I think) Summer and one Winter.

 

If that's so then Nanuri is winter 'cause Chloe VE was a Nanuri and I got her during the winter event

My Espe(Chloe) asked me for a boyfriend for the New Year . I'm considering Seorin and was surprised to find there is not so many of him on Flickr. Would love to see more Seorin pictures!!!

 

So I have a question. It might be odd but here it goes. I have pretty done complete surgery to rheia. A full restring/suede/wiring. Sometimes I wanna put him in crazy poses but he always has the urge to topple over. Instead of just using a doll stand. Is there any kind of material that I can place under his feet to help him stand better? Like sticky tack or something? Something that won't harm the resin but will stick to it as well.

 

Would some of you lovely ladies be as kind as to measure your a-line girl from crotch to waist and around her thigh? I don't have my girl with me and I can't seem to find the measurements anywhere. It would be very helpful!

I was having some hard time with Lillan, my Juri08, but once I got her new clothes and decided to change her hair, she is absolutely gorgeous to me! Thank god I didn't give up.

I hope I get to get three more minifees next year, I want Shushu, Rheia and Breakaway to my crew.♥

 

I'm glad you didn't give up on your Juri! She's lovely! I really like the new look you've chosen for her, especially her wig and deer necklace xD As an owner, I can attest that Juri's are REALLY hard to work with! It has taken me foreeeeeeeeeeever to get mine where I want her to be. I hope you keep falling in love with yours n_n her lips are amazing, also.

I was finally able to place my order for a MNF Karsh (Val)! Was supposed to get him last year but Alice (LTF Rolly) decide she needed to come home first XD A few other limiteds slipped in there too..
But thats okay cause as a bonus I'm getting the MNF Event head which I am super excited for! Next on the list will be to get 2-3 bodies lol. I've got quite a few MNF heads lining up that want bodies too.
Is anyone else getting the event head?
