Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 28

Does anybody have Boneka shoes for their MNFs? It says on the database that they fit perfectly, but I want to hear directly from you all Since Dale Rae flats are practically impossible to find (even though I'm DESPERATE for a pair), I figured Boneka could be a close second.

Jennabean - I have a pair of Boneka shoes and they do fit perfectly! They are just as nice as the Dale rae flats I have. I recommend them. I could send you a picture (if I find one! - or take one tomorrow) if you'd like.

It's hard to pick a boy.
When I seen Chloe, I knew she was who I wanted but the
boys aren't doing this for me.
There's been one male I liked but he is a 60cm sold out boy.
Poor Chloe would look so small compared.

Have any of you had this problem but got a doll and found you love them?

Karter, Yup both my boys are Karsh. As you can see....I have a LOVE LOVE relationship with Karsh hahaha. I've always had a thing for elves though. My nickname in college was "elfy" lol.

crazykimochi, i miss Brink and Sebby and I know how you feel because I had sent Calanon out for a face-up repair not too long ago and had missed him. Brink is so handsome!!!

 

I am really such a sucker for him. Kaname is just so pretty. Someone said something about boy spam a while back and I think he qualifies. I made a long white coat which he has sorta... adopted. Kaname is Draconicmaiden's breakaway. He's been here because he was being such an angry jerk to her. He wuvs me. It's really silly some of the expressions he gets. Anyway, breakaway is my favorite sculpt and soon, I will have my own. I desperately hope that the seller isn't flaking on me. Rillian is paid off and I have yet to hear from her. It's been well over a week so I am nervous.

 

Hrm... good question. Rome's one of the Smokey Quartz Shiwoos, they were out briefly in 2010. I don't see the other tan MNFs on either Luts or Fairyland, but from some cursory googling it looks like 2006 would be the right year.

i love all the rhiea and luka spam. i think one of those two will be my next minifee (unless i get my boys) i dont know which one though

 

Karsh is also my favorite Minifee sculpt I use to hate his ears but I love them. And to me out of all the males he has the versatility in looks in my opinion.

A non-BJD collecting colleague of mine saw Bailey on my Facebook page and said she thought she was gorgeous... so I brought her to work today ^^. I work with 4-5 year olds who were all very interested in her as well, haha!

 

I hear that! I wanted a luka girl really badly despite having a boy but now I feel I'm leaning more towards rheia! but then some one will spam an adorable luka and ill be back to square one >.< luka/rheia spam off anyone? hehe

Ravenwolf - Ah that makes sense ~ That is somewhat of where my dislike comes in. I like Karsh but he has elf ears, I wouldn't want to mod them off (cause I like them) but my character wouldn't look right. You know?
How versatile is Karsh?

In this cased, I'd get the sleeping plate. Then you can mod the eyes open and also give him human ears. That way you have one with elf ears and one with human should you want/need to change.

And of course if I didn't love love him I could get rid of him.

I love Karsh as well but was turned off by the elf ears too v.v I'll be excited to see your mod when it's done Rumor wanted to say hi by-the-way. And also answer Rheia spam.

 

Always happy to get more people to get Karsh's, lol. Love to see more elves too. Maybe I'll try to give my twins elf ears...could be fun!

The other thing is if you don't like the Karsh head, there are always people looking for one! Then you could just sell that head and look for another ^.^

 

Goodness, yes. I've loved Karsh ever since he came out. But at that time I was still at the point where I was doing a lot of research before buying. Also saying, "I don't really need it." I'll be getting a Karsh soon though, hopefully. I want two of them. A boy and girl. >_>

By the way, does anyone know what the difference is between the cutie legs and model legs?

 

I'll be getting a Karsh too, most likely at the end of the year with Christmas money.
The cutie legs are bow-legged and slightly more slender. The model legs are more natural looking in my opinion.

Both legs look good to me. I'm considering getting model legs for a girl I want to be slightly smaller but I love the way the cutie legs curve.

 

The difference in height isn't super noticeable actually. I'm not sure if this is just my girls or if the molds have changed a little so that the difference is negligible now. In person I love both and I have my Eliza (WS girl Kyle) on model legs while I'm using a NS body with model legs for Bea who will be a modded Unoa girl.

EDIT: the model legs are indeed skinnier tho which fits my Eliza's character.

 

Karter, I think that Karsh is a very versatile sculpt. My two definitely look different and so do all that I've seen.

Loving all the Luka spam. When I was trying to figure out which sculpt to use for Lotta Mackrelmint, Luka was top of my list but then I lucked into the perfect Mirwen for her character so that scuppered those plans. I think one day I may have to add a Luka but not until Orlaith and Lotta Mackrelmint have their wigs, eyes and wardrobes sorted.

In the meantime, Lotta Mackrelmint has found a new little redheaded sister. Despite being from different doll companies, I think these two quite suit each other.

Chloe was going to be my main girl but she just has such a soft look that she will now be the angel in the story, I'm going to get a Rheia and make her my main baby.
