Went to a Doll& Bear show today and Kess got a new dresser and tea set.

My sister had that problem once with her Shiwoo. He had a bit of unsanded resin on the nub that the string wraps around to keep the foot on and the leg together. The resin left the string a spot to work itself off when rotated, and off would come his leg, shooting the foot across the room. Do you maybe have a problem like that too? All we did was sand the bit off that blocked the strings from settling in the groove. He's as good as new now.

Gosh Enchanted, that is such a lucky find! Those are really nice.

Have you looked on Flickr? There are not that many Rix out there unfortunately so there are very few owner pics.

 

I have only seen one other Rix in here and it is a girl. He does not see to be very popular right now. Just makes me feel like mine are all the more special.

It is the issue I have with the ones I buy, I don't know if they can vary or anything but I buy mine from Ebay. Personally I have found the 7-8 one to be better though.

 

Hello ^_^ I'm looking to buy a male Minifee (Although you guys had me forgetting that and planning for another girl). Can I see spam of male Minifees? Also- I'm not particularly looking for the elf ears. I'd still like to see them, but definitely any pictures of males without elf ears!

Most of Kendra's accessories arrived today, all she needs now is a new outfit, a faceup and her signature item...you'll have to wait and see. I'm really happy with the way she's turning out.

 

I have old Jamie spams I can contribute to the male minifee request. ^^ Also, enchanted, those are fantastic finds for Kess! They fit her style so well!

 

cant help with boy spam right now, Kaname is off visiting a friend. however i do have some pre-hurricane girls to share!

This lovely girl has since moved onto a new home, but she has the default faceup that I had modded slightly to have rosier cheeks and freckles

I believe the wig may have been a glib wig? I am guessing, I got it second hand, but I do know it's a 6-7 and only JUST fit on her head. ^^;

Yeah. I'm thinking mine will be a little bit of a spoiled mean girl, but good at heart kinda thing. Haha.
She really has the face for it, I think. :3

 

Ive not had that but the locking piece is a bit loose and causes Beau's head to wobble. I put a piece of blue tac on it and that cures the problem - hope this helps ^__^

 

Evelien - This happens to some of my dolls more than others, but I know what you're talking about -- this is even more prominent if the eyes in my doll has long stems. Generally a little bit of putty is good enough to keep it from moving though. Hopefully that helps

haha our mother-daughter bond must be very strong cos i was about to post this exact same thing :p

Evelien i used eye putty to stop a loose neckpiece in one of mine with wobbly head syndrome.. i just wedge it around the bit you turn, so that it cant move at all ..as samson said it might help with your problem too?

It has nothing to do with the eyes though, it also comes loose when there are no eyes in my Shushu's head at all. And the head is not wobbly. It'll just sometimes come loose from the body totally unexpected :P

Are you turning the locking mechanism all the way closed? Sometimes if you don't it can work itself back open again and the head can fall off. This is more likely to happen if the stringing is twisted a bit, so try pulling the neckpiece away from the neck and checking to see if it's twisted at all. If it is, turn the neckpiece until it's not and try putting the head on again.

 

I'm closing it as far as I can...

 

I don't know how soon I'll get her but I def want her. Haha. Too many dolls I want. XD

Yeah.. ^^; Sorry, I missed your first post. Is her stringing twisted at all? That might be what's causing it.

 

Hmm, I don't know. She's been this way since I got her brand new and I never restrung her or took her apart

 

Not sure if it has been mention before but is there any kind of small chip or spaces or anything in the neck mechanism?

 

I can't see any.. :-\

 

Hm. I'm stumped. I wonder if you could contact Fl (if you haven't already) and just see if they could tell you what the problem might be?

I present you my first and beloved girl, my minifée Shushu called Hanabi :3 She's now having a new faceup and her new wig waits her at home... I will re-present her soon!!
