I just picked up my new Chloe from customs yesterday! Here she is, still without a name and Face-up, but with the right eyes and wig. (I'll do the face-up this weekend. And find a name...)

since my chloe (Sugar - new name hehe) has an edgy short cut i was feeling that Pepper is lacking with her stock wig. So i decided to give her a new bang and i love her much more already

I've always been a MNF lover (Chloe and Mirwen I am looking at you!) but I've decided to start with a boy first. He better fits my story and I am hoping to make a quirky goth out of a Rix!

I'm loving the spam, everyone! I'm still eagerly awaiting my VE Woosoo head. I'm not sure of her name yet, it's either Wednesday or Winter, I think. But she likes fancy clothes and floral prints. T.T So she has to get a whole new closet all her own.

Thank you everyone for the rheia spam I ordered mine early september and I pray he is shipped out during thanksgiving I really want my boy home

 

@pokori - Your boy will be home soon. I know the wait is painful but it's sort of like a right of passage. Does he have a name yet?

Today I found out three ways owning my MNF is like having a teenager (less crazy making though)

1. She refuses to get out of bed (Kendra kept falling out of my hands when I picked her up out of bed this morning)

2. She refuses to change clothes (She will only wear her batman shirt)

3. She ignores me when I'm right in front of her. (Case and Point) I still love her to bits though

 

Hey everyone! I had another question since I'm hoping to get some Monique wigs soon, probably in 7-8. I was just wondering what size silicone head cap works best, 7-8 or 6-7? I know 6-7 wigs can be a bit snug and since silicone headcaps aren't as stretchy as a wig I'm worried it might be too small, but don't want to buy 7-8 and it be too big!

I can't wait to join in the spam officially once my girls are complete! You guys have enabled me into getting more than I was originally planning to do.

I mean,dang,my Teen even hit her rebel side and died her hair pink v.v

 

For wig caps personally I prefer the 7-8 because it covers more of the head, which gives a better grip and if you have a dark coloured wig then it will protect the head against staining. My Shushu and Chloe both have the 7-8 and it fits fine. My Karsh is still in a 6-7 but it only covers the very top of the head, and if he had a darker wig I would be worried and give him the bigger one.

 

blueskiesnorain oh yes he has a Name starts with a B but I won't give anymore details till I can post a pic. I wish DDE would email me already. Who knew it would take so long for a blank doll lol and your Rheia is awesome I was super happy when I found out Ban did the eye mod. She did her great justice.

I had those in (They were like,they ones you had to go to a salon to get put in) but I chose to get my hair just done ina a diff. color,so I sewn them in there. But you can order some like those at HotTopic.

 

haha I was just curious. I have some red clip in ones that I've often worn on my own hair. Neat idea though to do that.

I have a question for you guys... when I put any MNF head on my MNF body and lock the neckpiece in place, it will jump back a little. Sometimes after a while the neckpiece has turned back completely and I'll pull off the doll's head by accident. Does that happen to you guys as well? How can I lock the neckpiece in place better?

On another note: while this thread was moving on, LOL, I locked myself in my hobby room today to re-do Bailey's face-up. And I know I'm still an amateur, but I have to say I am very proud of what I did..! I'll post one pic here, the rest is in my gallery topic:

Ravenwolf, thank you too I got her boots from ninestyle. I found she had a hard time standing in them and had to trim down the heels a pinch.

And her favorite heart from her collection. Her character tends to collect them from men she'll lure:P

 

Does anyone have any idea why the feet of my doll keep popping off when I move her foot? Does anyone else have this problem?

 

Hey guys, when your doll is being shipped, what is customs? ;o;
Sorry this is my first doll and my first FL MNF.

 

@Karter - If you ordered from DDE you don't have to worry, I'm not sure about Fairyland.

 

Customs is the government agency that regulates and processes imported/exported goods. Every country has a Customs agency. In the US, dolls and doll-related items are specifically exempt from Customs duty fees (=import taxes for incoming goods shipped from outside the country). Since you are in the USA, you don't have to worry about any Customs charges.* When you follow the tracking on your doll shipment, you will see that the package enters and later leaves Customs at its port of entry--every package that enters the US from another country must pass through Customs. That's a routine matter; it can take anywhere from a few hours to several days, depending on how busy that particular Customs office happens to be.

*This is not true for people in other countries; many countries charge duty (sometimes very high percentages of the package's value) on doll purchases. Don't extrapolate from other countries to the US, and vice versa! Also, some shipping companies (FedEx, UPS, DHL) add "brokerage fees" to their shipping cost, and tell customers that the fees cover Customs duty. EMS, being a service provided by US and other nations' postal services, does not do this; they follow the exact Customs regulations. Nearly all doll companies ship by EMS, so there's not much to be concerned about there, either.
