Oh that's not true at all. I find that my MNF stand just fine in the high heels I have, even with their flat feet on. Here's an example:



She's wearing Dale Rae heels, and you can't buy them anymore, but maybe someone that owns other brands of high heels can chime in about whether or not they work for flat footed Minifees?

I've always liked the elves and wished every sculpt was available with elf ears, but I've only just come around to the white skin. Getting my "grail doll", a Juri '08, for only the price of a MNF body was the turning point. ;-)

 

Some more spam of my Rix, unfortunately it is a bit similar to the last one, since I need to buy her new clothes... o_o

Wovenflame: Your girl looks great! Even without a faceup. I love her outfit. And I agree - I'm all about the elf ears myself. Most of mine have elfy ears, even if they're not all technically elves.

Serenade: Wow, your girl looks great! Who would have thought Rix would have looked so fantastic as a girl. She really is stunning. I love her wig as well. She's really cute.

 

Did someone mention white-skinned elves?



I have been in super lurk mode because of things and life and things, but I check the thread every day and you guys, you have some beautiful dolls. It's been really fun to come on every day and just look at all the pretty pictures, hehe.

 

Love her outfit! And I agree - I have Dale Rae heels that work fine, and those cute red Lorifina heels work fine on the flat feet too. She can even stand in them, though I did suede her ankles to add stability.

Changing MNF feet is the same as changing feet or hands on the vast majority of other BJD's. Might take a little strength and is probably easier with a helper, but isn't difficult. You can always stick a pencil through the loop of elastic before unhooking the feet to keep it from going anywhere, or thread a ribbon through it so if it shoots up in the body you can just pull it back out again. The easiest way is to get some locking forceps, then you just pull out the foot and clamp the forceps on it and you can do whatever you need without it going anywhere!

Every time I look at my Rheia I think I fall more and more in love with her. That sculpt is so versatile, so delicate, yet strong, feminine, yet handsome. It's everything I love which I think is perfect for the embodiment of my most beloved character. I find myself wanting to use a Rheia for all my other female characters, lol.

That actually happened to me yesterday while I was changing my girl's feet. With how big of a pain it is, I probably won't be switching them anytime soon! >.<

 

I love your Rix, Serenade. She's so pretty. What a gorgeous wig as well.

Technically the body there is mine, but the head is Kristo's. A while back we did kind of a double split. I ordered a Luka with both CE and OE heads and she did the same with a Mirwen. Then when they both arrived we swapped CE heads and had their eyes modded open. So I ended up having my Luka's eyes opened and she had her male Mirwen's eyes opened. So the blank, OE, Luka head there is Kristo's.

Here's the two Luka girls, Kristo's OE version on the left, my CE modded to open eyed on the right. The Mirwen guy in the middle is a CE head modded to open eyes. All work was done by Ban Sidhe.

I really like the way your girl's lips are done inverinate. Did you do the faceup?

I've done the pencil style thing before, except using a crochet hook and then later a darning needle cushioned by quilt batting. In fact one of the MNF bodies stumped around here on darning needles for quite a while when her feet were away getting a pedicure! I've also done the ribbon method. I think when I'm changing feet I'll always be at least threading ribbon through in case I miss the foot nob. Easier to be cautious and do that than to have to fish the elastic back out of the leg after the fact.

 

Now I might not own a MNF currently but I did in the past and let me tell you that it is absolute farce, mnf stand like a rock and sometimes better in high heels!

I see now that lots of people already answered, but I though another answer wouldn't be that bad ^^

I got a pair of high-heel mary janes from Luts (the ones for Kid Delf) and my Rheia got no problem standing in those with her flat feet! Of course she doesn't stand as good as in her flat shoes, but in the heels she's still a lot more stable than the rest of my dolls. They look a little big, but the flat feet fits perfectly.
Took a pic in case it can help someone. (Sorry about the dusty background, we're renovating.)

 

Thank you everyone for being so helpful! I will not buy the high heeled feet immediately then, so instead I can get another pair of hands and see for myself.

The eye beveler I was waiting on came yesterday so tonight I am hoping to finish her eyes properly. It is rainy today so pics might not be the best, but I love my colorful girl so will take some anyway! XD

thank you all for the Rheia spam I do not regret ordering him at all. It was a tough decision between Luka and Rheia but I am glad I chose him in the end.

I have a MNF body but it REALLY looks like the KDF body,which it was suppose to be MNF but it's older and a B-line. It came with a neck piece but there's a slight color difference. :-/
And I put my Luka head on the body- and the head looks über tiny on the body. Is it normal? Or..

I think some photos would help, dollyb. But yes, the B-line body is fairly different from the A-line body, and more similar to the Luts Minifee body.

I do think when I took her wig off the head looked more proportion. The big poof wig shrunk the head appearance.

She looks very cute! I am excited about my Chloe being done by Foolbot too! I really like Tea's look!

 

Aw thanks so much Karla ! She has a really sweet look and the face-up is beautiful. I went to take photos of her and the Mirwen Foolbot also painted but my camera ran out of battery. Mirwen's look is so different - she is really intense looking - I love it !!!

I saw some pictures on Foolbots blog and I saw your girls then. It is not the same as seeing them as a complete doll as the owner does the full look they plan for their character though. So I would like to see your other girl too! Tea does have a sweet look though! I like her eyebrows a lot actually, they make her look kind.

I can't wait too! I want to play with Ki and take photo's of her. But her head has been sent away. Also the UK weather has been truly terrible lately, so I know it might be a little while! I can't complain too much about wishing the weather would clear up so my doll can have her face-up done though because some people are having 6 months worth of rain in 48 hours!

I can't help feel a little sad when I see the rain poring down and knowing that is another day that Ki is going to be away for.

My VE Chloe is finally home!!! Two months my little darling has been gone...
She's supposed to have black hair but I wasn't really feeling the wigs I got her and I don't know about the eyes either. They are half red half brown but they just look really dark and it's hard to catch the light.

So my grail doll is finished and I'm 95% sure her name is going to be Eunkyo. There will be more pictures later.
