Here is a picture I was finally able to nab of my crew - minus Jessica (since Ophelia is borrowing her body)!



Left to right: Ophelia [MNF DES], David [Unoa B-El Madoromi Mod], Abigail [MNF Shushu], Elise [MNF Karsh],and Sky [PKF Zoe].

My little resin family shrinks and expands too quickly - but I am really hoping that these will be the ones staying for a while (including Jessica of course!).

samson - Thank you! I know right - it always takes me a long time to get a shot I like, and even then, sometimes I dislike most of the shots but have to agree on the least "crappy" one. Haha!

inverinate - I am really in l ove with her. She has that simple beauty, I really like her a lot, and that's why I am saving up for a body for her - so exciting!

Lyzrd - Haha! I got her wig from a shop on eBay. All I did was search for 7/8 green wig and I found that one! It's a Monique Gold (Faith I think?) "Lime" Green wig - although it's a lot mellower than lime.

Yikes, wovenwuff! I'm sorry you're not as delighted as you'd hoped you'd be...my recommendation would be to give it some time. Play around with them a little more, take some photos maybe. I was really out of love with all my dolls for about half a year or maybe more, but putting them in their boxes and not thinking about them actually did help! Its such a shame to spend so much money and then be dissatisfied...I've got my fingers crossed that you find a way to bond with your brand-new boys!

Oh man I get back from vacationing only to find I've missed the equivalent of a whole thread!
But I got a few new ideas on stuff to make for my girls so I can join in the spamage again soon.

Here is some Shushu, I got in some wigs from leeke's mystery wig event, and one seemed to suit Mai. So she's wearing it now. :3

I got my girl very fast, she was home less than a month after the ordering date. That's nice ^^ but unfortunately I'm not so happy with the quality of her. She got big areas of irregularities on her lower arm and on her chest, a deep scratch on her hip-part and some of her seams is very hastily sanded (I don't normally get disturbed by seams, but here there are scratches and lighter parts of resin showing even though she's not even tan skinned...). It's nothing very disturbing, and it's all easily fixed, but for the price I paid for her I actually expected her to be perfect. My point is that I think Fairyland has been rushing lately, so maybe the quality has been neglected. Or maybe I just had some bad luck ^^

 

So little dollie time lately, but I managed to get a start on my DES project this weekend past. Got her faceup done and picked out some eyes and a wig (free gift wig from Leeke, oh yeah). Her horns and wings are still being painted, and she definitely needs an outfit of her own, something more appropriate. But I'm kinda happy with her so far...

I kept trying to make my girl look mature and I got tissue-funny story- and stuffed her bra xD She looked older and her characters age! And I moved her bangs away an it all helped! ^_^

I did wonder how on earth FL was managing to churn out dolls so quickly, resi...sorry to hear you've had some backlash from that. :\ I wish they had a better system for dealing with casting quality problems, it seems like they shouldn't just write them off as "normal"...but I don't want to start a debate about it. XD Moving on!

Buh, I was going to take photostory photos today...but my brother gets home in about 15 minutes and I definitely don't want to explain what I'm doing to him. XD Tomorrow, I guess.

 

My girl has come back from the spa! So excited to have her home, although her strong faceup will take a while to get used to!

Thanks! Morganna really seemed to suit her and she would accept no other name, believe me, I tried! The eyes are Eyeco Ulta Soft Glass.

I do too, and I'm kind of worried about it. You just look at this wig sideways and it drops hair everywhere. Individual hairs can be pulled from it without even tugging. It's like they aren't rooted or something? I have no idea what the make is as it isn't labelled and it was a loan/gift from someone who received it with a second hand doll. I don't dare comb it much or she will be bald in no time. I think I will eventually replace it with a Tibetan mohair wig of about the same colour but it will never look quite the same.

TPR - I just use normal tacky glue for sticking mine on, I found a great brand (Which I can't remember off the top of my head lol!) which is solvent free, and it works a treat, its what I used to glue the brads onto Nyne for her dermal piercing. Works really well, dries clear, and isn't hard to remove if you want to change them.

Everyone's dolls are so gorgeous, am really enjoying all the pics!

 

That wig perfectly matches her faceup coloring - can't wait to see her all finished.

To all shushu owners:

I have tried to find a thread about wig sizes, especially for the shushu mold only.
At the moment i'm not happy with her wig. I love the wig itself but her forehead looks so big -.-
It is a 7-8 inches wig from mybayer2008 but i have seen some shushu heads with 6-7 inches.

I do not know a lot about wigs but does the size depends on the company? Now, i want to buy a wig from formydoll since i have seen a shushu owner used a wig from formydoll. But i'm still unsure if this is the perfect size.

 

I'm going to answer that with a big ol' YES - wig company does make a difference. I use only Monique wigs, which have stretchy caps, so I can get a 6-7 on my Shu with no problem. I've gotten 6 - 6.5 Leeke wigs for my dolls before but their caps are a lot more stiff so they are harder to get on bigger heads. And when you go up a size, sometimes the bangs or even the cap itself ends up being too long for slim minis and eats their face ...

 

I agree with Ban - my Shushu wears a 6/7 monique gold wig and the same size from Leeke. My daughters Miyu wears a 6/7 ForMyDoll wig but it is a little tight and her noggin is far wider than my Shushu's. I think it will fit fine - their wigs are lovely too. Heres Angel in her Monique wig
