Yeah, Morganna has a much more lovable air about her doesn't she? With Candace's uptight manner she is hard to get to know, harder yet to love. Poor Candace. So misunderstood. ;-)

She's wearing an outfit she got from the lovely SmoteyMote in the swap I ran Unfortunately you can't see any of her tattoos in this outfit, but you can see the dermal piercings I gave her on her neck (I'm gonna re-do them when I get some smaller brads, those ones look a little too big for my liking, but they'll do til the new brads arrive XD)

which hands do you guys use for your boys? my first boy has girly number 4 hands, so when i got my second boy i thought id get something 'manlier' and got number 5 hands for him but i kind of hate them they dont suit him at all but i dont know which hands to get instead! my mum has number 7 for her boy but theyre a little too.. grabby for my boy, hes meant to be pretty relaxed! does any one have number 1 hands on their boy? id love to see a pic if so! i think 1 and 2 are the only hands we dont have in the house..

I *think* I just ordered my own Minifee ^^. Heehee! So excited!! I got an NS Karsh girl with A-line body, large bust and cutie legs, but I also got a Shushu head because I've really always wanted a Shushu. It's gonna be so hard to let those girls share one body :P.

I got the Shushu head second hand (but blank and brand new) in my own country, and the Karsh girl from German Sweet 'n Honey's stock , so I should have everything soon!

In other news my Chloe completely changed her character. She has a new name. It's Calista now. I rather like it, I think.

 

Thank you! I love the name Calista. I think my Shushu's name will be Bailey, but I need to see her first to be sure .

The Rheia sculpt is amazing too by the way, I think I love it even more than the Chloe sculpt.

I'll be eventually ordering a BW boy Karsh to fit in a character of mine, but he's not in my immediate plans.

As for naming woes, my own Shushu ran me through them for the longest while. No matter what name I would try to give her it was always wrong and would never fit until I realized that I was looking names in all the wrong languages since she was Korean >>; thus she was named Hyo Ri and has been fine ever since.

By the way, I ordered some high heel feet and black MNF pumps too, but I noticed the feet aren't magnetic. I suppose I'll have to restring the body completely to attach them?

Yeah but you do get a magnificent artist faceup that's guaranteed to be pretty to look at!! LOL, when I do it I hardly have any control over what comes out :P. But I do think I'm getting better at it.

 

Evelien -True about the face-up artist and you do a pretty good job yourself ! And practice will only make you better , who knows I might be coming to you soon lol

 

I didn't do the faceup in my avatar if that's what you're referring to . She had a company faceup in that picture, but I just cleaned her face a few days ago to do my own. Still working on it

oh no thats ok - I had a Planetdoll Riz once and still trawl the thread to see whats going on. I dont own her anymore. I dont have the high heel but I would think you would have to restring as they are not magnetic - cant see any other way of doing it unfortunately.

 

Yeah, I'm afraid that'll be the case too.
I'm pretty sure my girl will be in her high heel feet all the time then :P. If only there were more cute high heels for MSD/MNF.

There is something so sculpturally beautiful about blank heads, samson, but yeah, I'm not much one for the overly large irises either. I changed mine out as fast as I could. I think a lot of people do. There must be a huge number of size 16 defaults kicking around in various dolly homes.

No, Evelien, you don't have to completely restring your dolls to use the high heeled feet. It IS still a bit of a hassle/struggle though. The feet are attached by S-hooks. You will have to pull hard on the foot until the hook is exposed, shove something into the hook to hold it so that it doesn't retract up into the leg, remove the foot, and attach the new one.

I have high heel feet for my girl, even sent them out to have them blushed, but I haven't yet used them because it's a hassle to change them out. I find that any of my high heels that fit Minifee work with the flat feet anyway!

 

Oooh I can't believe I didn't think of that! Of course you'd only have to pull out the other feet... d'oh. I've done it like that on my other dolls. I think I got confused because I've been looking into the Little Harmony body by Little Monica, which has high heel leg parts instead of feet parts, and those you can only attach by restringing the body... LOL. Excuse my confusion please ^^

Pic spam of the original MNF black or red pumps would be nice by the way. They're pretty hard to find . I assume because they're resin you can paint and/or pimp them with little decorations yourself..?

Moriarty is a character in SH (a bad guy tho), and I feminized the name a bit, lol. She isn't a bad girl, mind you, she's kind of a mini me x)

 

Oh yes those big eyes came out straight away - the girls are now sitting, clothed wigged and wearing smaller eyes waiting for their little heads to be shipped out to the face-up artist. Probably be off tomorrow ^__^

how silly !! Ive changed my Elfdoll Damis hands in exactly the same way !! At least we were both being doofus's lol

-edit- When I first started liking BJDs, I loved big eyes on my dolls. My taste has changed a bit... but I still think I'll use 16mm blue glass eyes on my Shushu. I've got them lying around anyway. Dunno, I loved the pics I've seen of her with those big blue defaults and I hope the eyes I have are somewhat similar

 

My Shushu wears what are supposed to be 12mm eyes but they look rather large for 12mm, but I like these.

 

Wow yeah, they do look big for 12mm's! I'll have to see how the eyes I have look on my Shushu... I can always buy other ones .

My Shushu head should arrive tomorrow, I will probably immediately do her faceup and try the eyes on her, then if they don't work I can pick up new ones at Think Pink, because that's where I'll be going on Wednesday anyway ^^

Yep. ^^ Visiting Think Pink is almost like a day out. It's an hour by train and it's SO worth it. Just looking through their store, gazing at pretty dolls (last week I played with their MNF Rheia and that's when I decided I had to have an MNF too) and their lovely setup is amazing. The first time I was there, I hung around for over 4 hours. And I only left because it was closing time.

This Wednesday I'll be picking up some MNF high heel feet and resin black MNF high heel shoes.

I am soo jealous of this shot with the little baby frog. It is so tiny and because of that looks in scale with your doll. I love frogs they are so cute!

 

14mm is what most people use, but some also use 12mm (can look gappy). I did the same eye size for my Chloe and 14mm fit her the best for her character. Good luck!!

I prefer 14mm on most of my dolls, but yeah it really depends on the doll and their character. I love the messy bedhead look. I don't remember your girl having a hubby! Do you have pics of the 2 together? Would love to see them!
