Does anyone have a Mirwen that was ordered 'ala carte with face up'? I was wondering how much the face up differed from the 'full set' Mirwen.

Thanks Anna. She's beautiful. I was hoping it would be close to the Mirwen full set look. I like the shadows.

What size wig does she wear? I haven't been able to find anything with a head measurement.

 

She wears 6-7 inch wigs quite comfortably. Anything larger than this will probably be too loose, though sizing does vary by company.

WinterMonkey: A La Carte and Fullset faceups are exactly the same. There are no differences in the way they are painted.

 

Here is a picture of the stock faceup on the ns Mirwen FS version - just in case it helps. I do not own this girl anymore, but she was appreciated while I did have her.

 

Does anyone happen to know if IpleHouse JID clothes (either girl or boy) will fit MiniFee?

 

DFS:I've got a JID girl and a minifee and it won't work unless you want the clothing to be baggy. Skin tight on a JID is baggy on a mnf, pants absolutely won't work.

 

Ah, I figured that might be the case. Thanks for confirming that for me anyhow!

 

Does anyone know when (if) they are going to announce the new mnf's, if there will be any new ones?

 

I sadly cant remember the company. I taped strong flat magnets to her headcap and just popped them on. And it helps that the wig is fluffy so it doesnt show a magnet lump.

Gonna chime in on this topic since I have to deal with magnet ears for my Zuzu Delfs~ What I do is, on top of the wig, I'll place another set of magnets that will attach directly to the ears (I bought extras from Leeke). I've had too much heartache where the magnet underneath the wig didn't hold onto the ears well enough and they fell off and were damaged! This is how I secure the ears now and it works perfectly! Especially if you want the ears to sit on top of a hood or hat.

I'm having some trouble deciding what sculpt I want to get next: the character is a smirky lady's man type, and I've been considering El, Carl, Breakaway, and Juri 11. I don't have a picture of him to post, but I sure would like to see some spam of any of these sculpts!!!! Bonus points if they're boys!!

Ooh good eye and memory! Yes, she got a new faceup. I'm happy with this one, the other one just has something a little off. That's how it always works, I wipe off her faceup and ALWAYS, no matter how hard I try, her first faceup turns out terrible. >.<;

That's a tough one, I feel like with the right faceup anyone of those would work. Of course, my initial response though was Juri, followed by El.

I'm loving the Rheia spam. I'd really love to have her one day. Could I request some Shushu spam as well? I'm considering getting one of the other girls in the far future (well, depends on some things..) and I'd like to see which would look best for my character!

My second Chloe is officially on shipping! I don't have much for her, so she'll have to try on things when she gets here and make due with what I decide to give her. xD Poor thing.I just don't know how she'll end up looking yet!

i don't have a minifee to compare with yet (i have one on layaway) but she's very very posable. i love her to bits!

 

@karrigankat: Heehee, she does seem a little cross-eyed! I'll bet its the domes fighting with her eyewells. I know it took me forever to get Partridge's eyes to sit just right!

Thanks for the comments about Partridge! I've been having to steal time to bond with her since I'm getting ready to move to a different apartment, but she just makes me smile every time I look at her.

Aoife and I attended the Dairyland BJD Mega Summer Meet! My friends and I all did a group theme for our table, which was a circus! I chose a trained poodle performer for my contribution, and man was I ever pleased with how she turned out. I'll have more spam of her soon, as she got some goodies from the sales tables. Jessica got her new dress this past Friday - and I got her to pose for me tonight. The dress is by the very talented venecja from Etsy. She is using a different wig as well, which I think gives her a stronger link to the character I am planning for her - but I don't know if that is set in stone yet. I like it a lot though!
