Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 24

Traditionally I think they do a summer and winter event, so it should be announced soon I hope! They keep hinting at it (the re-release of Delfs, a possible new Minifee). I'm keeping an eye out for it too, if the event is right they just might get more of my money (soul)

Maedwe - shoe/wig/eye/accessory shopping is a great way to kill time haha. I'm contemplating new eyes currently XD

 

Bleh. SO I am thinking of a ShuShu/BBB Body hybrid. (Both resins are the older 08-09 BEFORE all the newer stuff) and I was wondering- would I have to get a neck piece for a ShuShu head or will it just go right on?

 

I know it tends to be summer which is why i haven't ordered my Chloe yet. I was just wondering how soon since some people have been speaking rumours. I know they have got the Delfs, i also have been reading on here that there is a hint of a MNF. So have they had events when they have new releases before? Or do they wait until after the new release?

 

So I finally got my boy Chloe home, head and body together uvu (the match is TERRIBLY TERRIBLE tho ahahaha /smacked. the body i got off the MP, was from 2008). I want a custom made wig for my boy, does anyone know who makes fur + fiber wigs? Like one wig, with both fiber and fur >.<;

 

I second this!!! I wanted one of these custom made wigs,too!

 

You'll definitely need to get a neckpiece. MNFs have a very different opening and need the locking piece to fit. Fairyland sells them separately now though, so it should be easy to get one. I think they come with elastic too (?) which might be nice since BBB/RS bodies often do better with thicker elastics.

Her dress is from Hypercurve, I bought it off the marketplace. Same with the skirt. The skirt was handmade. ^_^

 

Tayma-Leigh I do know of Monstro Design and I e-mailed her(?) but she told me she's not taking commissions at the moment...I'd really prefer if my boy is not bald for too long u_u;

iv heard that they are waay better than glass eyes and waay expensive to. Im thinking of maby getting a pair for my Karsh. Worth it? what company/ies are the best?

I have two pairs of Mako eyes and I love them...I just posted a pic on the last page where my Karsh is wearing some..the Li-04 I believe...and these are the Li-03 in my El, Malakai who just got back recently from having his face-up modified by botflybaby!

My Karsh wears 14mm Dollshe urethanes in sky blue. They are stunning in person and in photos. I love Dollshe eyes. These were $45, but the quality is stunning and attract a lot of light.

And the wig is a Spite and Malice wig. They are the best. When compared with the monstro design wigs there is no comparison. Monstro is good if you want a thinner, flatter, look.

dollyb - people have just used donuts in the past I think, but I think there is usually an issue with the head sitting too low on the neck because of the way that the head is made to fit on the neck piece so you may be better off getting the neck piece.
but the neck piece really is super convenient anyway, it makes head removal for clothing changes so super simple.

you made me want some spite and malice wigs now! haha. I own one for my SD boy, it is so fluffy and well made, thing is though, i cannot decide what i want! haha

 

I am so excited - Nyne is almost finished! (Again!) I've done her tattoos, and her faceup is half finished, pastel bits are all done. And tomorrow I am going out to get the brads I need for her transdermals, and attach those and I'm all done! I can't wait to see her once I've gotten everything done! And hopefully I don't decide I want more things on her - so far, we're at 6 tattoos, and it will be 4 transdermals, but that should be it hehe

Mmm they tend to do new releases with events to entice people to buy. Looking back through their previous notices it seems that the summer event seems to start around the beginning-middle of August.
Fingers crossed we get details soon!

And agreeing that urethane eyes are sooo worth the extra $$. They catch the light so well and the colours are amazing. My girls all sport Enchanted Doll eyes

does anyone own a Rix? there doesnt seem to be many of him around and I want to have more of a look at him before I do anything crazy like ordering one.... XP

hmm also, when were the VE Chloe's released? do you think they will ever release a VE again? i so wish i didnt leave the hobby when i did!

 

wovenwuff - there aren't a whole lot of rix out there, but you could find some pictures pretty easily by running a quick search on flickr.
ve chloe was released as part of the winter 2010 event.
she will not likely be available for purchase from fairyland ever again.
fairyland's english speaking reps tend to answer questions regarding re-release of event heads with something along the lines of "maybe someday" but it's really just kind of politely saying don't get your hopes up.

 

@Wovenwuff - If you can go into Flickr and search for "minifee Rix" there are some really cute owner photos - I don't know if any of the people that hang about this thread owns a Rix yet, but I am saving up for one because he is definitely a cutie!

Yeah, those mosquitoes and gnats really are killjoys! Amy's eyes are a lovely brown. I keep forgetting to ask: Her pierced nose, is it just glued on or did you actually pierce it?

Your boy has the most beautiful blue eyes I kept telling myself I don't need urethane eyes, but I'm starting to rethink that...They really stand out!

 

I said I'd never buy them because of price but I'm glad I did. Dollshe has nice colors and the sky blue is very saturated! Sea blue is stunning, too.

 

I went and took a look at the site ..... I know a certain girl who could use those copper colored ones though...

 

That site should come with a warning label. Warning! Dollshe is worse than crack! :p

i just got a shipment of eyes in yesterday. Purple is also heavily saturated and pretty. The shape of the eyes can be tricky though.

 

I see that is awesome. I really hope they post the details soon then. Because i really want my MNF Chole and i really hope they do a MNF head too!

On the topic of eyes, keep in mind that dollshe eyes do run small. Dolls with the wider eyes can run the risk of gapping even if the eyes are 14mm. My Marcia wears 14mm dollshe atm and they're slightly gappy since the eyes run 1/2 size smaller. I imagine smaller eyed dolls would look good in the 14mm but wider eyed dolls, in my personal opinion/preference. I would go with 16s.

The vamp elf shushu was part of the elf shushu release from luts. The mnf elf shiwoo also came with a vamp elf version. Both the vamp elf shushu and shiwoo were sleeping heads. Then besides the event VE Chloe and the regular VE Woosoo I can't remember any others, could just be my brain failing me.

FL did just do VE LTF event plates for the last event, they do seem to like doing them. I am hoping for a VE Juri myself.

Hi! Could anyone answer a silly question for me? Are the boy bodies taller than the girls?

 

I haven't even been waiting 2 weeks for my boy and I already have everything he will need (clothing, eyes, wig, etc.) waiting for him - that's the first time this has happened - must be how excited I am to add him to the clan! Now I have to really WAIT - oh no!

I'm requesting some beauty white skin spam! Boy or girl is okay!

My Chiyo heads out tomorrow for a new face-up. ;~; I probably won't have her back for like a month! I'm so sad, but I know it'll be worth it to capture her true character.



But in celebration news, I have another Chloe head that should be heading my way by next week for a new girl~ So at least I shouldn't be Chloe-less for long.

;~; I'll miss my Chiyo. I hope she comes back to me exactly how I picture her. Ahh, so sad about sending her off! This is my first time commissioning someone out of the country. xD So scared.

 

@pinksugar - Thanks - yes my little Abigail is a Shushu, and my first MNF true love. I already think Chiyo looks so lovely, I wonder how she will look after her new faceup! Where are you sending her? And do you have a name for your new girl?!

 

Shuklyah; D: Why must you be part of the reason I'm being enabled to get a Shushu? Abigail is just adorable! I never wanted a Shushu before I started coming into these threads. xD Congrats, by the way, on her being featured!

I admit, I am sad because I do love her current face-up, but she's going to Nomyens. ^^ I'm really excited because I think the aesthetic will fit her character more (her current face-up was under the pretense she was going to be a different character).

My new girl is named In Na aka. "Devon" (she's a twin to my incoming Mirwen who is "Se Na / Remy"). ^^; They have two name versions because their characters were intended to be from Korea but possessing an English name since the were raised in America.

 

Yes the MNF boys are taller then the MNF girls. Although the MNF boys are on the shorter side of a lot of other boy dolls i have seen.
