It looks cute together, plus there is nothing wrong with mix and matching.

 

Waaaah! That pose is so cool. When I try to have my Mao do head stands and stuff, his hands pop off when the wrists are too bent. Does that happen to anyone else? I wish MNFs had a locking mechanism in their wrists like LTFs do. It's frustrating to try to make him put weight on his hands in a pose and they go flying off.

 

well it seems I have fallen out of love for the miyu sculpt like i predicted this has now sadens me cause I was so into her for the first half of the year. So does anybody have any recommendations for girl to go with my karsh boy and Rheia boy? I want someone cute and spunky I was thinking of maybe a Luka girl possibly can I request some luka girl spam she seems so cute make me change my mind!!! lol

 

Botflybaby: I had that problem until I used blu tack in between the magnets to attach the hand and wrist tighter together. You should try that.

Emelia (Woosoo) is hoping to get some play time this weekend.

 

Was wondering if someone could be kind enough to help me? do you remember how long before the dolls are sent out when the status change to "before shipping"? status changed yesterday.
Am waiting for my 2 girls and hoping they will arrive befroe i leave for 3 weeks.

 

Can I get some opinions here? I've taken pictures of Candace in a variety of lighting situations with two different eyes. On the left is an Eyeco SoftGlass eye (colour A141). On the right is a SafrinDoll acrylic eye (colour is Night Sea). Which do you prefer, and why?

If you want a closer look there are individual pictures on my Flickr. There are a couple of additional pictures where the right eye was another Eyeco eye, but in a different green.

I guess in the end the problem is that I'm not 100% happy with either, for different reasons, but I don't want to spend more money on eyes right now so she is going to end up with one of these two choices.

 

How would all like some silly spam?

The safrindoll eyes. Reason being they are more vibrant, clear and you can see the details very well in all three pics..imo

D: And to the rest of the thread, I'm geared up to give Uzi her boob mod. She's on Beauty White--anyone know what epoxy putty will blend in with her without much color blending? Help!?

 

Thanks for your input. I think most people lean toward the Safrindoll eyes for Candace, but some prefer the more realistic colour of the Eyeco SoftGlass.

Anyone else care to weigh in?

Just a question about the cuite and model legs - which one of them is taller, and what is the difference in height? Are there any other differences appart from the cuite legs being cubbier?

i have an odd question.....has anyone ever tried stringing their cutie legs on male minifee's? I would love to see how that would look anybody else?

 

I agree with Nikki's observations. I like how the light plays off the Safrindoll eyes. You are correct Wovenflame, that the Eyeco look more "real". Sometimes I wish I had access to eyes so I could shop before I purchase.

 

Oh me too! I'd love to try-before-buy on wigs too but there are no doll shops at all around here.

Here's a closer picture for anyone willing to voice an opinion.

 

Wovenflame- I personally like the Safrindoll eyes better. They look a lot brighter and more vivid IMO.

 

Yeah, personally I prefer the Safrin green. I think the color is easier to see.

 

safrin for me too. they just are brighter and the main thing for me is they are more clear. that is they dont have any blur in any of the photo's. i like them

I prefer the realism of the Eyeco eyes but i tend to go with lighter eyeco colors because they don't reflect light as well. With that in mind, the safrin dolls would be my choice if you're doing temporary eyes!

Thanks for voting, kaschan, zetoast, octobercrow, crazykimochi, Lilanie, and SmoteyMote. Looks like a landslide for the SafrinDoll acrylic in Night Sea, with a few dissentors weighing in for the realism of the Eyeco SoftGlass A141s.

I've asked on other forums with about the same reaction too. Most vote for the brighter ones, a small minority votes for the more realistic colours in the darker ones.

As you said SmoteyMote, they might end up being replaced some day by a lighter Eyeco SoftGlass pair, but right now I'm trying to save up for another Minifee body. A third set of eyes for Candace will just have to wait.

I know that Snowgrey put minifeeboy legs on her minifee Karsh but I'm not sure who she sold the boy body with cutie legs to. Changing the legs does make a height difference.

 

@karla-chan: I took some quick photos of the model and cutie legs next to each other. Will post them up in a bit!

I have a close-up shot as well on my Flickr. If you view all sizes I have a fairly large photo up for ya.

The height difference is just enough to be noticeable. I think it's harder to tell when their wigs are on though. The cutie legs are very very slightly uneven in length, but it's okay when she's wearing shoes. Overall I like having both around for a little variety!

Cutie legs are about the same length as the regular boy legs. I used model legs to make my Lishe shorter than my other boys. Here is a picture: Regular boy Ruth, model legs Lishe boy, and reg. boy legs on my Shushu.

 

I really like the unevenness in the cutie legs, it makes it much easier to get natural poses like contrapposto.

quiet0ne, the cutie legs seem to give the doll a different stance, like the thighs angle forward a bit. Does it make anydifference to how well one poses, over the other?
