Fairyland Minifee MNF Discussion Part 20

I think the next one is happening in the fall, but don't quote me. I'm going by the pattern I've seen recently based on three years.

 

Late summer/fall is most likely. It seems to depend on when their last event was and how well they're handling getting orders out.

At the risk of being nailed to the floor, has anyone ever modded a Karsh to human ears? I love the sculpt, and I love the ears, but the projected doll I want is human, and needs "normal" ears. Anyone have any pics of a Karsh (or any previously elvish MNF's) modded?

 

There have been quite a few Elf-to-human mods :> Lemme hunt for them... ( if someone gets to it faster that's ok too XD )

Yes they fit very nicely actually and are very well made. I got a pair as a gift when I bought some boots.

I am 100% sure I have seen one. Check flickr. If I can hunt it down I'll link you the example.

Oh wow! Thank you, his ears look great! I was worried sanding them down would make them look off or mishapen, but that girl did a really good job. That inspires me to try as well. ^_^ Now time to save da monies, now that I have a mold picked out.

So... As I've been refining the edges on my girl's story, I realized my next doll will have to be a boy, since it seems to make perfect since in my head. And out of every MSD-sized sculpt I have looked at, the one for that character that keeps coming to mind is a MNF Seorin. I don't even know why. He doesn't even seem like a bad boy/fallen angel type. But... may I please have some Seorin spam to try to win me over?

 

I'll have a Luka home maybe late next week, or a little later ... Not really sure what I'll be doing with him/her yet! but yay Luka!

I was focusing on her lips rather than her eyes, but I hope this still helps. She's wearing Dollshe urethanes (and I've just realised I can see myself photographing her in the black part of her eye ^^)

I don't have anything particularly recent, but I saw a call for Seorin spam, so I figured I should share a little Karu'in/Serien =]

 

Gyaaah. I just paid for a mirwen head on the market place! When it gets here I'm going to see if it will work to reshell Mao, my mnf elf shiwoo. I'm excited, and sad at the same time, as his shiwoo form was my very first BJD. I just hope I'll have the strength to sell him if I fall in love with the mirwen version of him. Otherwise I'm going to end up with TWO Mao's...and that's just kind of too many to handle.




EDIT: Quick question. Those of you with Mirwens, can you post some spam and tell me what eye size is in the pics? I heard she has small eyes and that 12mm might be best for a mature look. I only have 14mm right now, so I might have to buy new orange eyes if mirwen becomes Mao. I'm really interested in dollshe eyes, I heard they run small so their 14mm looks like a 12mm, is this true?

 

Um, I'm not picky. I love urethanes in general and I need to find Uzi's eyes eventually but I don't want to buy just any pair. I want the right ones, but any brand is fine by me in 14 or 16mm only.
Lentil: what size and color are your Dollshes?

6/7 (YOSD) works best on Chloe. She has such a tiny head. I made the mistake of getting a MSD wig for my girl but I modded the back to fit her head.

 

Botflybaby: So....is there gonna be some sort of mao-off? I totally wanna see mao v1 and mao v2 together at least once XD

 

Thank you! Gah, I feel so bad for doing this! lol! I'm really worried I'll end up keeping him, which would be bad because I don't give him nearly enough attention as it is. I have this horrrrrible idea of keeping shiwoo Mao to be his cartoony, fantasy version of him, and the mirwen as a more realistic, humanized version of him. I already have two dolls of one character, but at least they are different sizes and ages! My KDF Bory, Dietre, and my Soom Dia boy, D, are the same character, just different ages / timelines.

Blah, I guess I'll figure out what to do when the time comes!

Thank you! I really do love the elf shiwoo version of him (that's what he is in that pic I posted) but I don't think the mold fits his character as much anymore. I haven't got my mirwen yet, so I'll have to wait and see if I prefer mirwen over shiwoo for him.

 

XD I'd totally stash Mao in a Bag and run to my little corner and baby him XD ( He'd be the precious... BETTER THAN ANY RING... mmm Precious.... )
