Fairyland Minifee MNF Discussion Part 20

Thats how I feel every few months I change my whole team I started off with a woosoo A chloe and a karsh then I changed my mind to a woosoo a miyu and a karsh. Then I changed my mind again to a luka a miyu a karsh and a seorin. Then yesterday I had to fight between a Rheia boy and a luka boy and now It is a luka miyu karsh and a mirwen boy. I refuse to change my mind again but Cinfelix norahyah Rio99 are constantly making me change my mind. I also believe Andreja and her wonderful realistic faceups is the mastermind behind it all. And the worse part is I can't order any of these dolls no time soon lol.

 

I have gotten mine already but you know the more you ask about your order, the longer you'll be waiting for it. Fairyland has to pull your order out of the system just to check it's progress and that can add about 2-3 waiting days to your order.

It would be better if you just checked the FL waiting room to see where your order stands compared to others.

 

Does anyone have any marcia mod spam a boy marcia would be awesome too

hehe you're welcome, and thanks amy for linking it!! it could be tight stringing, or it could be fussy arms... whenever i do the pose with sparrow, i have to put a certain arm in front of the other or else she won't hold the pose. maybe try switching them?

I'm still really busy at work, but I managed to have a short vacation over the weekend and I brought Blair with me. I managed to snap lots of nice photos.

I didn't know that 2-3 days can be added to your wait when you ask. O.o I had asked DDE about the status of my girl on Friday. They said Fairyland was "working on my girl" so I guess that meant she's at before shipping since they said they were expecting her soon. I had planned on my girl to be here this week XD. Waiting for your first dolly is tough. Ryeon spam, please?

fashionbabylon - I guess I don't think it's that strange. Lots of companies work like this, even places like Amazon! Fairyland is a pretty small company filling some big orders that all have to be custom made. Of course it's going to set you back if you keep asking them for information!

 

fashionbabylon: I don't think it's strange at all. Besides, FL does tell you the wait time, and I know they aren't behind right now. It's better (and more polite) to wait the 50-60 days they tell you and then maybe give them a gentle poke if you're like, on day 65/50 or 60 or something.

I guess I imagined that every step of the process was just logged in a computer, so if you asked about the order, they could just pull up the information on a computer instead of having to take days to find the parts on the assembly line and report back :O though, when you think about it I guess there's no real reason to do it any other way. it's been 65 days so I hope we weren't rushing them!

Hello fellow MNF lovers, have any of you tried using MHD Designs: Robe Soleil for Ellowyne Wilde pattern for your MNF girl? If so, how did the dress fit and what type of bust does your MNF have (cutie, small, or large)?

That is the first time i have seen it. But i think i might give that a try when i have finished doing my current project. Things like this can be adapted fairly easy. I tend to adapt a lot of patterns for when i am doing sewing. My girl has a cutie bust, which personally i find easier to sew for because she doesn't have much bust to take into account.

Thanks so much for sharing though. I love getting hold of patterns.

 

I would love to see the final product, Karla-chan! I'm thinking of having my MNF have a cutie bust too, so it would be great to see how it fits and know what sort of alterations you made (if any) to get the dress to fit/sit right on your MNF.

 

The premade Ellowyne tops fit the small bust perfectly.

 

I will try and remember to post it on here if it turns out OK. I am in the middle of one project at the moment so i don't know when i can start. The problem being is i don't have a working printer at the moment. So what i tend to do is get a tape measure and measure the screen of my laptop and measure the appropriate part of my doll and then keep playing the the sizing until they match up to how i think they would work. The i trace through.

This also helps when i get hold of other patterns that are not always for MNFs or sometimes not even BJDs. I have got hold of people patterns and scaled them this way. If i doubt i would recommend making the top first, because it is only a small part of the pattern, and it is the hardest bit to get right. Because getting a skirt right is really easy.

I was going to make a dress to go with it, but i ended up doing something a little different with the dress. But i am sure i can still make a cute outfit out of this.
