I saw a Daily Deviation of Deviantart yesterday, of a fairy maiden with one ear, who had the name. And I kid you not, the painting looks just like the Karsh character I had planned, only blond.

It was like looking directly at my Karsh!

My new girl is here! Please meet Magna Dea - she's stolen her sister's wig as her own hasn't been made yet and I may yet change her eyes and possibly her face up, but she's one of my grail dolls!

I love when people are able to get their grail dolls! Makes me so happy for them! I also like that curly wig I see on the Mirwen! It's cute!

 

@sazzlynn - I like that wig - it's nice. I really like what she is wearing too! I think Mirwen's look so good with virtually anything really!

 

I enjoy the process of finding a "look" that fits a new doll. Your Mirwen looks lovely.

Do all Ellowyne clothes fit Minifee? I have a few patterns here that I could give a try if they generally are a good fit.

Congratulations on getting a longed for doll. I can't wait to see her in her final rendition once she has her own hair, chosen eyes and so forth.

 

I've tried on 5-6 Ellowyne outfits and all fit with minor adjustments, usually a small tuck in the back. My MNF is a small bust so a large bust might have problems. Pants are a little tight in the hips. But the lenght of the dresses, sleeves, legs are perfect. Tights and belt are from different Ello outfits. Shoes are Mattel Teen Trends.

@april418 - You should feel very proud of that cute dress! It makes her look so innocent and above all CUTE! That bag is so nice as well - and again I love the outdoors. Nice boots too! Can't get enough of her!

@DraconicMaiden - I am liking the colors she is sporting! That waist belt is such a nice addition!

 

I know I've seen everyone say it before, but since I don't remember, if you ordered a MNF from DDE, how long did it take? Was it 2 months or 2 1/2 months?
I'm trying to do calculations on when to expect my girl and I have a round about of 4 different dates pointed out, ranging from the day I ordered her and from the following Saturday since I know DDE puts in FL orders on Saturdays.

 

I ordered from them on November 17th and my doll arrived January 25th.

speaking of rumor:

 

Spent the last few days while at work building up the backstory for the world Vana (my MNF Shushu Elf) comes from. It's been interesting. Not sure if I'll ever really get around to writing her books, but it's good to know what I can say/play with/address in photostories and where she comes from. It flavors the character (and, potentially, her clothing/next faceup).

 

I've planned my girl will arrive on April 3rd. It seems there's a 70 day wait. And so far it's been 13 LONG days. (Even my boyfriend's band's CD release show this Friday seems so far away. Maybe the excitement for things is making time seem so slow XD)

@xxSugarxPopzxx - I hope that your Ryeon gets to you faster than expected! I remember my first wait - it drove me a tad insane and the rest is history. If I would have kept all the dollies that I started with I would own over 20 dolls or so - I know people have a lot more dolls than that, but considering that I have been in the hobby less than a year I would say it's quite a bit! I currently only own 5 Fairyland bodies and 7 heads (2 floating). That is a much easier number to manage!

Thought I'd pop in and share a picture of my new girl~ Nate just needs some clothes and an oxi clean bath... my phone doesn't show it but the body is older and has turned a creamy colour so I'm hoping that it will work as I've seen it do before. I can't wait to send her off for her face up either I really can't wait for my little hipster to come together!

Shuklyah Mmm I agree a smaller number is a little easier to manage... my crew is huge.. and If I think about it I'd have almost 90 dolls if I kept all of them and never sold anyone! Kind of Group shot. A lot of my Minifees are visible in this shot.. there is about 20 dolls missing from this photo though. Linked for size..

there are days I think I should go back to maybe 10... But When I think about how I'd feel not having certain characters.. I can't bring myself to it!

 

@silvermasques- Oh wow! Yeah, I think it's easier for me to adjust the dolls number wise since I don't go by characters, although I am thinking about it ^,^

Thanks! I actually didn't really think that I'd ever get one of her - even in all my trawling of the MP, I'd only ever seen someone selling a head in three years! So she was a massive surprise (someone offered her too me and that person is one of the loveliest people in the world I think!).

Oh I don't think you need to worry about the photos - I have a whole list of who I want to take photos of her with, I think the current top other than comparisons between old tan/current tan/NS/WS is one of Magna Dea and my NS MNF Lishe, Bellona Lua.

Does any one know how to post a small image when you are using DA? Because i was told to keep them small? Or does any one know how small something needs to be pixel wise for it is OK on here?

I think 500x500 must be acceptable because I use that size from Flickr all the time.

 

I see thanks I have been told by real life friends that 600x800 pixels is seen as standard. But i am pretty sure that is the size i had submitted and got told it wasn't OK.

 

Anyone know if 22" American Tonner shoes fit Minifees? I found the hottest pair of these and wondered if they would fit before buying them. Uzi would look AWESOME in these.

800 on the longest side is enormous... 600 on the longest size is prolly the highest you'd want to go. slow internet connections aside, you want to consider the people browsing on notebooks or devices that have small resolutions.
