Well, I spent the afternoon painting Ffion's arms X__x holy moly. They took a lot of pastels, I'll tell ya. Would've been a nice time to have owned a airbrush :B
Either way, I'm pretty happy with it. I'm thinking of removing the black eyeliner on her lower eyelid though.

 

Where did you guys get that top? It's so cute!

Yay! I am glad I could tell too! I have enough of it growing in my back yard, it's my favorite plant! :> when it's good seasonally you should totally get pictures of her actually next to the blossoms!

My girl has a lot of outfits and stuff and she isn't even here yet! :#

 

Okay, a friend of mine has found some shoes that fit MNF that are adorable - they're the shoes that were made for the Hasbro Lorifina dolls - as far as I know they weren't around for very long, but the shoes fit really well, so if you happen upon any, they definitely fit MNF. I will mention, they're rubber/plastic as apposed to fabric, but they still look adorable on!

 

Spamming this girl because the thread has been quiet! Must be the Superbowl, ha.

This dress makes me miss summer and popsicles.
Not that I can't get popsicles now but they are much better in the summertime.

Answering the call for Miyu spam a few pages ago. I redid Blair's face up. It wasn't the look I was going for, but it's nice enough to stay for a while. She looks quite sinister now.

Utsumi - Awe that's such a beautiful picture! She makes me so happy. Reminds me of summer too, basking in the sun after being in a cold air conditioned room. And she just looks so happy, such a great expression on her face.

aiushtha - Thank you! I love that picture. The colors and lighting in all your pictures makes me feel nostalgic (can you even feel nostalgic for a time period you weren't even alive during? hehe) And her faceup looks really good!!

GoodbyeYouHelloMe - Love, love, love her outfit! And her expression is so great. I really like that wig on her too. *sigh* Shushus are love.

I'm kind of wanting to get a pair of brown eyes to try on Myliex, or maybe a taupe color. Just time to experiment a little, she's had her green eyes practically since the day she arrived.

Hey, I thought DOA ate my answer last night so I gave up, haha! Where do you put wires in the body? Just in arms and legs? I think I might be afraid I would get too forceful with the wire trying to pose the body and maybe break something I think I will probably do that too, send the dolls out to someone who knows how to do it correctly!

 

well I wired his arms his torso and his legs. to prevent scratching on the inside you can tape up the wire. I am thinking about saving up for a hot glue gun. I watched a lot of tutorials and it doesn't seem hard at all. The only thing that really worries me now is restringing. I have never attempted it

 

That's what I was wondering about, the wire scratching the inside. The hot glue sounds do-able. Someone at a dolly meet showed me how to apply it. Another thing I thought about was getting kipping disks, those little rubbery washer type things. My Angell Studio dolls came with them and I think you can buy them under their 'tools' area on the website. Only thing is you would have to take the dolls apart and retread everything through those. All ideas...

It took me a while to figure out how I wanted her to look, and then I realized I had that wig from the first MSD I had gotten (My Shushu), and when I put it on it was like angels singing - lol, maybe not that great but you catch my drift (hopefully!). I really love MonstroDesigns wigs - they always work out so nicely! I really like those eyes on her, and I thought the 12mm were going to be too small - I guess not, and that is exciting news for me, since I want to get smaller eyes for my Chloe - even 14mm is too big >.>

It's been quite sometime since I last posted. I wasn't really in the mood to take any dollie photos for the past few week. I'm trying to overcome it so I made Riko a new outfit and bag and took some of her photos. Here's her latest diptych. ^_^

So in anticipation of my tax return I am doing two things: buying new hands for Ivy (#4 & 6 from DDE- check) and going on a shoe spree for all of my resins! Debs Adorables for Ivy, releaserain for the LFs, and another ebay person for the PKFs. YAY!!!

Bummer is that I could afford to go ahead and get the hands, but I have to wait for my return to actually hit my bank account before I go dropping all those monies on shoes

I'd be kind of afraid to take my girl to a concert. Though I do want to take her to one of my boyfriend's shows one day. I guess my worry would be losing the hands. Or some rude person or drunk person were to do something to her. Maybe I just worry too much

I hot glued the torso joint of both of my Minifee bodies and also a Chic Line body. It was incredibly easy to do and so worth the effort. I am considering wiring the hip joints too but haven't gotten around to it.. That doesn't seem hard either though, and I really doubt the wire will be able to damage the resin as long as you coated both sides properly.

Also, I bought my glue gun from either Micheal's or Hobby Lobby and it cost all of 3 dollars.. And then add another $2 on top of that for a bag of glue sticks...
