Fairyland Minifee MNF Discussion Part 18

If anyone has an AC Moore around them, they have some really cute little wooden dresser type things that are perfectly sized. Fairly cheap, and you can paint them yourself! They have stands that'd fit MNF's too for about $5 ^_^

 

Oh! I dont think I do here in Michigan. I have never heard of AC Moore. I would love to have that kind of thing that I can paint the way I want

 

If you have Michaels, they may have them too. ^_^

 

O_o you're making me very anxious to go back to the States! I will definitely raid all the target stores in JAX.

 

That's super cute. I'm going to have to make a run to Target sometime soon to look for Our Generation furniture, obviously. Thank you for the tip!

And I'm curious about the flute bag. Would any flute case cover work, since they are made to hold a flute case? >.>

 

I have the same problem. I was so sad to find out that they won't ship to the UK. I love there shoes and there is several pairs i would really love to buy. And they all look so cute and elegant.

@ emsinnott That is so cool! In the UK we don't have those stores or that brand! The wardrobe is so cool though when i first got into the hobby i was looking everywhere for something like that because i think it looks so cute to store all your dolls clothes in them.

I still sort of do, but i don't think i could store all my dolls clothes in something like that now ^^;

But i am still a sucker for dolls having a space like that! I think it always looks very cute.

 

I just found out that Walmart online store carries Our Generation doll furnitures!!! Walmart.ca has that closet/wardrobe for $78 >.<

ugh i love the my gen stuff, but its sooooo pricey. im working on creating a setup for my kids when i have the extra money and space. oh well, in the meantime, shoes for everyone! lol

not the best quality thanks to the poor lighting in my apt, but the girls were discussing something important apparently.

 

Hypercurve- They have TOO many shoes but they refuse to accept that there is such a thing as too many shoes!

JediSpiceGissia- the wardrobe was $54 but it's wooden and very nice quality!

karla-chan- Yeah, it's sad to say but this is their second wardrobe! The other one is nowhere near as large and intricate. I did see some of these on Ebay though! By the way, if you guys are interested in some of those shoes, tell me which ones you were looking at and I can send you the ebay links or I could even get some for you if you're willing to pay for shipping!

Everyone, be careful about the Our Generation furniture, I have seen some places selling them for $20-$30 MORE than they are supposed to be!!!

 

I carry my dolls in a flute case. It's not the same as the other one posted since it's meant to hold a flute and a piccolo, so I have to wrap my girls in a blanket, but I can fit both MNFs and my Bisou Ai in with no trouble and I use the piccolo pocket for their clothes and such.

 

I would be worried how much shipping would cost, since furniture tends to be heavy and bulky. It is amazing of you to offer though *hug*

nothing a good restringing and sueding wont fix. If any of dolls come back and don't pose the way they should on the stock photos, they are so being shipped off to be serviced!!!! I refuse to have another disobedient child lol

@emsinnott - thanks for the advice on the wardrobe! It's so cute - I wish I had more space for my dolls, if it were up to me I would dedicate a whole room for them and they would have such great furniture!

Goodness me, 11 pages of this "new" thread and I only just realised. I thought you guys were being really quiet... I blame my bad crashing computer! Yay I have 11 exciting new pages to read

My good news is I just opened my little Minifee Shiwoo head today! I absolutely love him! Bought him in the Marketplace Now to start saving for bodies for him and my little Chiwoo. I was a bit silly though and bought them both the wrong wig sizes. Poor little guys are going to be bald for a while. (My Chiwoo was wearing a long blond wig for a while but he has been rejecting it lately... maybe it is a bit too girly for him)

Myliex got a new body and new hands. ^_^ (her old body was inherited by my mnf Juri '08)
PS the new body is slightly larger then Myliex's 3 year old body! :O I'll take some comparison pics later on.

 

DenaliWind Myliex is so adorable and I love her story and her personality I am also looking forward to seeing Goat as well >.<

Here is a link to the comparison pictures I took for the MnF A-line 2009 versus the MnF A-line 2012.

And a little preview...
As you can see the most noticeable difference is in the torso, but overall, the girth of the new body is slightly larger. Even the old '09 hands don't really fit on the new body (there's a picture showing this in the link). I personally am very happy with these changes.

You can also see how the resin has aged, although I'm sure that Fairyland resin is a little different now then it was back in 2009.

You're back Myliex!!! I missed you! She's such a pretty thing

 

it's large bust and small bust, right? the torso on the large bust is bigger than the small bust's torso (and the small bust's torso is bigger than the cutie bust's). not by much, especially not enough to affect clothing fit, but still bigger. the hips and the rest of the body are the same size because they use the same pieces. i see what you mean though with it being very slightly bigger... it's prolly from them having to recreate the molds from existing pieces.

 

Large and Medium sized bust - not the smallest bust. Obviously it's not a big enough difference to make clothes fit different, but overall the body is slightly larger, including the hands, so it's not just the bust sitting higher on the torso. It's really difficult to capture the difference because like I said, it's really subtle. Anyway, just posted it because I thought it was fun and interesting, I like that it gave me the feel of a totally new doll, but the character is still already developed and worked on. ^_^ Nothing crazy different or alarming. :P

She looks a lot softer now. (when I first read the post, for some silly reason I thought you had two shushus, one was named Before and the other After, haha)

Hey, that's a better cost than Wally World! I know I have seen cheaper (plastic) doll furniture at the store. Probably a 'generic' version of Our Generation products, LOL!

Disobedient children! I've never tried restringing or sueding. I was shown how to do the hot-glue kind, but will have to have someone help me with it. I have heard of mole-skin sueding too, which might be easier for me to try first. As long as the glue on the skin doesnt hurt the resin?

I usually go to a store here and they have a huge variety of small charms. (I guess some of it are being used for nail jewelry too.) and I sometimes buy cheap accessories from forever21 and use those too.

Agh, my Chloe is on 'Before Shipping' and the wait is killing me now, and I haven't even been waiting a month. >__<

I'm so excited to try clothes on her. She has a bigger wardrobe than all of my other dolls and she's not even here yet. I ordered her a few pairs of shoes, including two pairs from Debs Adorables. They're really well made and very pretty.

Meet my new boy Sebastian Kitten Sparkles Elliott (Quite a mouthful) I absolutely adore him!



He is still just a head, will have to save a bit longer for his body. I just ordered his wig today from Mint On Card (the first one I got him was too small). So he is wearing a wig I got for a character I don't have the doll for yet (Its mad but it was just the perfect wig for her). She might be a Marcia or a Rheia... will have to wait and see

I'm excited to get home and finish his faceup! He needs some eyeliner and eyelashes

 

@DenaliWind...I just saw the photos of you really pretty Minifee and their new face. They are so...so...sooo pretty. I'm really inspired by the feelings they exude! They made me happy. Congrats on the face! (I don't remember the resin diva's name, I'm sorry. But I really *do* love them *3*)

OH MY GOSH....Denali....someone HAS to name their dolls this now. It'd make THE COOLEST CHARACTERS ever!! Time lord/baronesses, with elvish blood in their systems....throw in a bit of "Red Dwarf"....Oh my gosh, it should be a TV series, too. I got a Shiwoo.

She was just purchased tonight direct from Fairyland. Yay.

I think she's going to be my Calavera girl. (I'm possibly gonna name her "Bean"...hmm....But that's awful, right?! LOL. I have in mind that she's going to be "Mija"....which is Spanish for "my beloved daughter." It seems kinder somehow..haha..."Bean"....: But I love the name Bean...)

So my Shiwoo sleeping face shall be Bean/Mija.

The closed eyes are so perfect for a Calavera "sugar skull."

A Calavera is a kind of skull that has all sorts of rainbow colors on it, and the Calaveras send out good wishes to those of our friends and family who have passed on...

On The Day of The Dead, people paint Calavera skulls in bright colors to show that those who have died, are not sad, but happy! Because they are alive in a way that is really magnificent and that they are happy to be where they rest in peace. ^__^ So that's why Calavera skulls are rainbow colors. Because they are happy.

My open eyed Shiwoo face, though, is gonna be my Mini-me that I had planned so-long-ago. I've ALWAYS wanted a doll-look-alike/bjd-mini-me. I thought a Chiwoo was a nice choice, but it just doesn't tell me that it can pull of being "Jack Savage!!" ;;;; So Jack Savage the BJD decided I'll be a Shiwoo. haha.

I still don't have a name for my Karsh, eek. Toying with the name "Aravir."

Tobias got usurped by Litara...He was transformed into Edgar.

And so thus concluded my Minifee news. w00t!

this was from a meetup a few weeks ago. i think i finally have come to terms with the fact that Witch is just about the creepiest doll ever. Maybe its because she just stare with those big dark eyes, but hey, in this pic you can almost make out that they are blue!
