Bonnets and things like that don't work for elf dolls either. ^^;

 

Personally they're not for me, I really love his ears his character is supposed to have them showing through his hair, and generally he doesn't wear hats anyway (I just pop them on to keep his hair neat when it's windy), so it's no real loss to me.
I suppose if your Karsh-shelled character loves tight fitting hats then they would be a hassle XD but that's the only thing I can think of, since minifee heads can be so easily removed, other clothes aren't a problem at all.

 

karla-chan well that definitely gives me something to think about. His ears will have to grow on me but I think I will love either way. And your Karsh is very lovable

 

My Karsh is not home yet! ^^; He is in coming and should be here any day. I do think elf ears do look really good though, they just have their limits. But i do think they look cute how they pop out of the hair. Plus if your elf is a girl, then the loltia bands look especailly sweet i think. Just sadly most hats are a no ^^; It is probably why my human girl Scops, has so many because she doesn't have hair or ears that get in the way. ^^

Gothic-Diurnal-Hime - I think it'd be adorable to have twins :3 I don't think I need to start getting these ideas when my first one isn't even here yet! And if I ever get a Shiwoo to be my girl's twin, I wouldn't want them to have matching names. Plus, I don't know of any guys names that rhyme with Briar. But I am a terrible rhymer XD

 

I shall see how I will tame the elf ears because I do want him to wear a beanie. For his character he is very insecure about his ears and will always try to hide them.

Would it be to much of a hassle to request some Breakaway spam with 12mm, 14mm, or 16mm eyes? I'm particularly interested in 14mm. A link to images would also be lovely.

Pagliacci finally got his faceup! I was super hard to get the white smooth and to paint his teeth and mouth, but I love the final result.

Hey, where do y'all usually get size 12 glass eyes? I am having trouble finding that size.

 

do you have closeups of her face? my juri head is in a box in the basement 'cause i couldn't imagine what to do with it. (i picked that event gift before they had pictures up) i'd love to see finished faceups just to see what is possible.

My own Mirwen, Catriona, finally arrived from DDE a few days ago!!! I am working on her faceup and will get pics of her here soon. She and Chloe make the perfect little pair. I love them both so much! They saw all the lovely Plume Blanche goodies though and now they are clamoring for a shopping spree of their own.

I had a question about the minifee neckpiece
I have a B line boy whose neck piece just WILL NOT stay locked. If I turn his head, it slides unlocked and I can just take of his head.

Does anyone know what causes this and how I can fix it?
I tried looking in the threads, but I must not be using the right words. I'm not coming up with anything.

Luciana, I ordered mine from Eyeco. They measure slightly differently so they label their sizes in odd numbers instead of even numbers. So to get 12mm, you actually order 13mm but it's the same as 12mm. The 12 (13) mm look really good! I ordered the Eyeco ultra and was very pleased.

 

I order from safrindoll.com which sells eyeco. (I also adore eyeco brand!)

 

I haven't had this problem, but am wondering if this idea might work as a potential fix for you until you find a better way. When I ordered the Eyeco eyes, I also ordered this stuff they recommend for securing the eyes. It's actually a wax-like stuff that is manufactured and sold as moldable ear plugs. It sticks very well and you might be able to put a good blob of that against the lock mechanism to resist it pushing open.

Is the toggle lock/switch just very loose or something? Is he an older doll with looser strings? My girl came so tightly strung that the lock was actually hard to move, so maybe restringing your boy would help fix the switch. There are probably people on here who know a lot more than I do about this, but there's my two cents. Hope something works out for you!

I get most of my eyes from Captured in Glass. They have a sales thread here on DoA, and the quality is amazing. ^^
