Fairyland Minifee MNF Discussion Part 17

Hey minifee experts ^^ I was wondering if anyone could tell me if Iplehouse's JID clothing fits minifees? I'm planning on getting a large-bust Shushu and putting her in the new Elemental Guardian Isar's clothing and armor I think the thing I'm worried about most is that even a large bust minifee might not fill those bra cups, or the pants might not fit with the Active-Line minifee hip joint pieces.

 

i only have a small bust jid and mnf but my minifee's chest is a LOT narrower. i don't think it would work 'cause the difference between my cutie bust and small bust girls is in the cup size not the width of the chest. (hope that makes sense.)

this time i'm waiting till all the pics go up before putting in an order. i was really disappointed with the mnf event head. i've seen a few cute faceups on her but she doesn't fit in with my crew at all. i'm trying to decide if it's possible to get the lips modded so she doesn't look like a botox experiment gone awry or just get rid of it completely to someone who actually likes her.....

 

Oh dear, event? I guess I won't order Soo today. A couple more days won't hurt. :P

Good to know there's an event coming up, hopefully i'll like one of the gifts this time.
I got a bunch of new eyes in the mail this week and hair is on it's way, only thing left is the doll to wear them.

 

Minifees are much smaller than Iplehouse's JIDs. I don't think the clothing would fit without substantial modification. As auntbear indicated, it's primarily an issue of the size of the rib cage, not the size of the breasts themselves. The JIDs are much larger in the hips as well.

Here's a picture of my small breast Shushu next to my JID and my Dollzone. All the clothing in the picture is from Iplehouse. Sorry for the bad lighting.



ETA: The bustier my Shushu is wearing was designed for the large breast JID body. The armor set is for the glamourous breast size and will be a bit larger in the cups.

 

Not to be a MNF party pooper, but I personally hope that the "new dolls" and the event center around Fairyland getting back the Delf line (even if they call it something else) and the return of the 60cm dolls to their rightful place.

Especially since I don't think I can handle wanting even more MNFs than I already do.

 

I'm with you on that. Likewise with any of Fairyland's tinies. I need to bond more with my MNF before I try buying any more! That being said, I hope Ashe gets home from face-up land today!

 

Oh my goodness, that is a huge difference between MNF and JID sizes... Ill have to pass on Isar's stuff then, the materials and design dont look like they will take well to being modded. Thanks so much for the fast awesome info.

Maybe there will be some fun new garments with the upcoming event

 

Anneke: Not gonna lie, I saw Isar's armor and wanted it for my eventual MNF Mirwen! Alas, we'll just have to cross our fingers that Fairyland will make some beautiful things like it, or start eyeballing commissions!

 

So I lucked out. I ordered Rena fullset JUST before she actually sold out. makes me think maybe I got the last one? lol jk but she's on layaway and it will be my first mnf ! anyone have spammage of their rena's?

Oh that's right CP's Delf dolls didn't get moved over when they split. Does Luts still make them or have rights to them?



Speaking of clothes, I could go for more Fairyland minifee specific clothes, they could lay off making any new minifees as far as I'm concerned for a little bit and get some more wearable minifee items out.
And the whole statement would be void if a prospective new doll happened to be a hunky boy.

I was just going to say the same thing, except that for me it would be more elf faceplates instead of a hunky boy XD I want my Shushu elf! I'll worry about clothes later!

 

Silver:I really like his scar though ! And I have her on layaway so her last payment is around the end of March ^^; By the way if you do layaway process with DDE (cause that's where i ordered her from ) when you start the layaway do they put the order in to have her made then or do they send the order after the full layaway is paid off? I remember for my DZ mo'wen they sent the order in and he actually was shipped to their company before my layaway was even finished

 

Sadly there are legal ownership issues with the Shushu elf, i was rather sad about this when i wanted my Shushu to have elf ears.

I know, because my Shushu is actually based off my Eladrin (which is a high elf) character from D&D so i would have loved for her to have elf ears.

Since the shushu-elf thing is an issue. Which sucks as much as the gift head issues that keep us from getting Juris (possibly lost 08 mold issue aside)

Would CP ever be able to sculpt different types of elf ears on Shushu? Like if they were styled longer, like RS Ju's ears?

Are there any other elf-versions that CP can no longer use or was Shushu the only one?

Just curious I'm not very familiar with the whole Luts/CP relationship. It's a shame that some sculpts had to wind up in licensing purgatory

 

You know, you could always get a normal eared Shushu and get her ears modded, then they could look pretty much however you want! I've got a couple boys with elf ear mods, and i've seen others, they can look really good =]

Yeah, it seems that's what I'm going to have to do. Actual Shushu elf sculpts seem to be drying up on the second hand market. I've been looking for one on and off for about a year. Not to mention the resin won't match anyway with a newly cast body.

Elf ear mods just never look that great to me, but I guess I can live with it if it's my only option.

I always thought FL would eventually release one, I'm surprised and bummed to learn now that this will probably never happen!

 

Elf ear mods really depend on who does them. Some modders are really good at it, and others wind up making them look awkward and out of place I think.

It's always a little disappointing to realize that certain sculpts aren't actually ever going to be released again, but it'd probably also be rather upsetting and unforutnate for a lot of people if they did. it bites, but they're limited for a reason, and i feel it's kinda like lying to customers if they wind up releasing more after saying there was only gonna be a limited amount of them.

 

IMO i have just bought a hunky male elf. With my Karsh But i know what you mean. I would love it if FL did do some more fantasy stuff.

 

To be honest i have no idea how that would work.

I think the fact that it would still be a Shushu elf would still be under some violation. Even if it didn't really look it I'm sure there would be some sort of squabble over it regardless, so for them to avoid it is just a safer bet then trying to appease either side.
Personally I think they should do some event HANDS for MNF. Or, just add onto the actual MNF hand list of what they have. It seems like the smaller sizes are getting all the "hand joy" and not the larger sizes. I'm not so interested in the fantasy parts as much, but some new face sculpts would be nice to see. The past few sculpts haven't perked up my interest very much, I'd like to see a nice looking boy fall into the mix.
As for the fantasy part stuff I do think Fairyland plans on making some for the C-line bodies at some point or another, so "worst" case scenario someone could always hybrid whenever they decide to let out their plans for that. I know the legs have special locks and hooks for easy calf/foot part removal.

Karsh is on my wish list, hehe but as a girl.
I'm still not completely certain of my plans for Karsh; still debating the long ears and faceup details which would need to be custom.

Actually it's nice that FL is sort of balanced in their themes, but I'm a huge fantasy fan so I'd love more of it too. Hence my comment about wanting more clothes and other items.

Alogue you have a point about the hands, even the minifees have more hands than the larger dolls.

 

I have seen a fair few people make him into a girl. I guess i am thinking it is less and less likely my Karsh is going to look mainly. ^^; lol!

I think it quite nice with the number of elves they have. But i think they could be more creative i think.

Yes but it is 6:30 am! So kind of stupidly early in the morning.

 

They wouldn't ever resculpt the Shushu elf ears - if they release her again then its highly likely they will just use the cast they already have. Same with the Shiwoo.

But then MNF items are not included in the Luts/CP relationship and haven't been since the split - if CP/FL wanted to release any of the Elf MNF originally released with Luts then its up to them.

But then the 10th Anniversary and Luts stopping sales of the Delfs suggests that the relationship is finally up anyway.

 

Reading the fairyland threads lets me know I'm not the only one feeling like I am waiting for christmas morning!
Question about event gifts: In the past they have been given based on the dollar amount of your order, not which item/s were ordered. Is that right? I ask because I need to order a Minifee body and figure I might as well order one on layaway through DDE during the event rather than waiting if I can get a freebie.

 

They changed - originally it was dollar amount, the last couple of events you have had to buy a MNF if you wanted the MNF event item - as well as having to meet their dollar amount. FL wanted to stamp out the number of people accumulating event items who would just sell them on.

But the suggesting is that there might not be event items this time.

 

Oh goodness, I'm late hehe. But a new event's got me so stoked! I wanna see what they've got planned! Sad that there's no minifee news over this event, but maybe that's a good thing lol.

It's funny the extreme personality of the two minifees on this page.
Rena is oh so perky and sweet / Kyle is so moody
I expect the Rena to tell me her favorite flowers are daffodils because they are warm and sunny and for Kyle to recite a poem he wrote about the rain.
