Fairyland LittleFee Discussion Thread - Part 33

I'm always fearful that if I send one of my kids out for a new faceup, they won't be "them" when they return. I've no issue with blank faceplates, or dolls I'm having issues relating to because they have a faceup I don't like, I send them out with no problem. Iif it's a face I've bonded with, I can't seem to do it. It leads me to be way tolerant of rubs and fading, especially with some of my kids who are handled a lot like Kirk and Llama.

 

I'm right there with you. I modified the heck out of my ChicLines turning them into Morgaine and Vanye and am doing the same with this Seiten Taisei, but Wiishu's face is...Wiishu. And it's very fragile now. I'm looking forward to having my workroom so that I can practice Wiishu's face until I get it right....on a blank. I have his original face that I'll never touch. It has a "look" that the backup I got from FL doesn't quite have. It's close and it's his "adventure" face, but I'm determined to find that elusive "look".

 

I remember that fear when I sent my oldest LTF out for a new face up with my oldest Pukifee. But their artist did such a great job that when I posted a face up confirmation photo someone else recognised my dolls as themselves! (The Pukifee in question is my avatar). So I’m happy enough to send anyone else off to have their faceups done, and I did with my oldest MNF not so long ago.

Hello, has anyone gotten a Niya yet ? I would love to see a picture of her?

 

I finally decided to repaint Aurora along with all of her fantasy parts. I even managed to snag her a second faceplate that I was able to mod to dreaming from OE. I really like how she turned out!

 

I loved browsing through the thread and seeing all the boys and girls enjoying themselves. I'm looking to add another Littlefee to the family sooner or later but currently just waiting until a suitable one pops up on the marketplace.

 

I did receive mine. I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow. I'm really happy with her!

Oh, she's very snazzy! May I ask what you used to fill in the eyelids for the dreaming face? I'm working on modding a pong face into a shiwoo singing faceplate for Wiishu and need a bit more nose.

Wiishu has a "new" story up. It's actually from his first couple of months with me, when we were working on some costumes for his friends in Texas. I've had it up on my website and just realized I'd never posted it here. My...how he's grown...

 

Thank you! And I used Apoxie Sculpt in bright white that I colored first with acrylics and then color matched afterwards with paint while blushing!

Does anyone have pictures of their littlefee Rabi? I want to know its similarity to the pukifee nanuri because I'm interested in one, but I don't know if I'm comfortable with a doll that little

 

Forgive me if this is something I should know, but...what's with the Fairyland site? I was thinking of ordering another ltf, but everything, even the "basics" are sold out. It seems to be the case on pretty much everything. Have they shut down orders for some reason?

I'm really behind, y'all! In a bit of a doll funk lately. I took some (IMO, anyway) really nice pictures in the garden last month, and never posted them! Poor Joren got lost in the flowers, and she needed me to rescue her...



She claimed she was merely contemplating impermanence, but the daffodils were bigger than her head, so I'm pretty sure she was scared.

 

Joren doesn't look scared at all. She's lovely amidst the beautiful daffodils.

 

(Forgive the Wiishu spam, but he LOOOOVES Joren and has missed her.)

 

Wiishu and Pook make me want to reply in kind, but my littlefee dear is much older. Aelin would be the big sibling, watching and laughing quietly when the duo get too ridiculous.
(At least, that's what they do for er little sisters, Ruthie and Dean.)

 

@Vindalootoo hello dear Wiishu! The last of the yellow daffodils are fading at the moment. I kind of regret not getting more pictures with them when they were out in force. Joren blows a kiss to you and your mom, we love you both!

@Gwydion hmmm, thank you. I think you're probably right. Joren is a lot less scaredy-cat than she lets on!

 

Not been active for ages due to various RL happenings.
My tastes chop and change constantly but I always go back to the little ones and have recently added some to my collection. After a lot of looking at Littlefees I settled on Rendia as I liked her slightly less babyish looks. Hope to start her faceup soon but meantime here she is blank.

As a little side note if anyone is wondering which sculpts also make good boys then Rendia is certainly one to consider!

She's adorable! Thanks for posting the pic. I'd never seen an owner's photo before. It really makes a difference. Her outfit is great too.

 

That's the upper part of the fullset outfit. Now that I have her wig, she'll get an eye change and an outfit, but this is her for now.

Gosh, and here I thot you ordered that wig especially because of those beautiful eyes! Are those the fullset FL eyes? They're fabulous.

Yes, they're the fulleset eyes, but while they're definitely gorgeous, I don't tend to be partial to sparkly eyes. Maybe if they're reset they might look better, we'll see. Right now they're set too low.

My friend won a Littlefee Halloween 2017 faceplate in an auction. I didn't even know he was scouting around for BJD parts. I was so excited for him that it didn't occur to me that he decided to gift it to me when he told me so.

So I have a new incoming girl or boy that I have absolutely no plans for...does anyone here happen to own a Halloween 2017 boy or girl to inspire me? :3

 

@Siara - I don't have the Halloween 2017 faceplate--I just want to say how lovely it is of your friend to buy it for you. Congratulations! I'll bet if you search Flickr for that faceplate you'll come up with some examples from various face-up artists. Worth a try.

 

Thankies for the tip :3 I searched Flickr, Instagram and Tumblr for photos. They're pretty scarce but atleast I have an idea of what the plate looks like with a face-up.

On a different note, are there people that drag their Littlefee around with them to work or elsewhere? I've actually been contemplating taking a Littlefee with me to work daily although one of my tinies would probably be a better idea...

 

Heck yes I do. The tinies are better for At Work as they take up less space, but the yosds are better for taking, say, grocery shopping. They dont get lost in the shopping bags on the way home as easily.

 

Here is my Rendia, I just finished her faceup today and I think it came out alright. She just needs new eyes and some shoes for her feet

Omgosh, she's so cute :3 I love the softness of her face-up and the blue of her eyeshadow in constrast with her pink wig. You did a good job. I really do like the Rendia sculpt. Does she have a name yet?

So, it's been ages since I took a haitus of the hobby... and this week I brought home a faded, tanned Pongpong2... and realized that I am out of practice with this whole doll thing.

I can't figure out the eye size for him, does anyone know?

 

No she does not have a name yet, she is waiting for me to have a day off from work first.

 

The eye size I got from the website is 12-14mm, hope this helps.

I recently bought a Tan Littlefee Mio and she is the most adorable thing ever. I never thought id own a littlefee, let alone a Tan one. My twin and gf now want tan dolls but finding them secondhand is so hard. Hoping fairyland will allow tan littlefees durning the next event. Can I see everyone's tan dolls to celebrate my girl?

I'm not sure whether we're going girl or boy yet but I can't get over those chubby cheeks. And I love the way those eyes slope down~

I also got lucky and found someone selling a Littlefee within the EU. Although it wasn't exactly cheap his/her body is now also on the way home. The body is from 2014 so we'll have to see how good of a match they are.

It's the Halloween 2017 faceplate. I wish it would tell me whether it's a girl or a boy. Me working a double 12 hour shift isn't helping either. I need more dolly time. D:

Connor's jacket is one I commissioned from Beyond Wonderland here on DoA, and Gavin's came from TTYA on Etsy =D Connor's jacket was pricey, but totally worth it. The detail is amazing, especially for something so small!
