The Pong Pong 2 spam made me do it.
(thank you Bluemoonjules, sweetiemom, and redmaiko and Novemberkris for showing me what the NS (in stock) version looked like to tip me over)

DDE had a NS Cheshire full-set with art complete and the eye upgrade and a sleeping faceplate I can mod into having more realistic eyes in stock. . . and I hadn't purchased anything during the winter or valentine events (I've been good, honest (not falling in love with the event offerings really helps)).

I'd had a pang after not ordering him during the Halloween event, but had already spent my (fall doll) budget on a tan El LTF boy with all possible tan ltf hands as accessories (plus a tan female mirka mnf), on layaway with DDE. Since I haven't gotten ship notification for that yet, I might even get my Cheshire before my El.

With two new boys on the way, my Nanuri 13 mod, Nami, might feel ganged up on, but I'm sure she'll boss them around the same as she does to my Reni (who ignores her in favor of making things go *boom*, and then she sighs and prepares to cover-up for his mischief as well as her own (which is much better planned and meticulous, downright subtle)).

About Fairyland LittleFee Bisou, what is the difference between the girl and boy? (no not that part )
I have looked at the make-up but cannot see any difference.

 

I don't think there is, unless you have a custom face-up done.

 

I ordered the default Face Makeup.

Pretty sure it is only their faceup that is the difference between their faces. It's not a different sculpt, as far as I know.

 

Which did you end up with the girl or the boy? Mine is a girl.

sorry it's so dark but here is Llys (FL LTF vampire chiwoo event head) with the Sionna doll ears. Wow just WOW. the ears are perfect! kitty girl complete!

Thank you so much, xibita and brightberry! I never intended for the story they're part of to have a steampunk vibe, but it just kinda happened (which I am not exactly surprised about- I'm a huge fan of steampunk haha).

Aw, thank you! I'm very fond of my little weirdos- and I'm sooo happy that steampunk fashion is readily available for dolls, even if it usually costs an arm and a leg.

I love my Pong 2. In fact, this is the first doll my boyfriend finds approachable. Even he wants to play with him (hah!). He's already enabling me to get another LTF, he thinks I need a Fairyland style version of my MSD boy, Gavin, lol (stylistically completely different than MSD sized him, haha!). I guess he thinks Gavin needs to be sucked into some mischief? Still must name the Pong boy ...

Gosh, so many fun and sweet resinlings here. I can hardly keep up! I'm not used to such a lively thread. ^_^

Anyone want to spam me some thoughtful LTF boys (a la Pipi, but we just had a lot of lovely Pipi spam)? Gavin had a happy childhood, but was definitely prone to daydreaming and thoughtfulness.

I'm so excited- my WS Leah plate came this week and I'm so pleased! Does anyone know if DDE is allowed to sell LTF headbacks/bodies the way they do with Minifees? Or would it be better to just put up a WTB in the Marketplace?

 

I've never seen them list LTF bodies separately, and I know FL doesn't. Would make my life a LOT easier if they did.

 

it would be easier for a lot of us! unfortunately the only way to get a body is to find one from someone that has a spare (either because they made a hybrid, or want to have heads that share a body) or to join a split to get one. otherwise you have to try and do a hybrid yourself.

 

For ohbumblebee and anyone else looking to hybridize, looks like Fairyland has the ChicLine L-connectors in stock these days, which work for at least some other companies' bodies - my vamp elf Chiwoo just came home from Buff, she's on a 5StarDoll body with an L-connector headback, which I bought through DDE...maybe two years ago? I still can't believe FL don't sell bodies separately, considering all the alternate and event faceplates there are for LTF! But the connectors do the trick. Um, the only thing is, the boy and girl ones are sliiiiiightly different, not just in neck size but also in head shape. I bought both and my FP fits best on the girl, and is pretty tight on the boy. Oh, also buying connectors means no magnets. But looooook, pretty vampire baby!

I've just asked them last week and they replied 4 days ago :

I've also asked when the Littlefee babies will be back but it doesn't look like it !

I've also asked them for an intermediate size between LTF and MNF, it :

Too bad for me, many questions but not so many answers !

 

I have bought all the LTF hands in tan because they are only available when tan is available...which makes sense in my opinion.

I am guessing whenever they change lines they have to clean everything down, so they process in batches. They also don't keep stocks so to an extent the dolls are made to order.

There have been relatively few orders in March so hopefully they should catch up a bit now they have got the Sionnas out.

So much information, thank you for posting it. It certainly sounds like they're not planning on bringing LTF Babies back for a long while, wonder if they weren't popular? Maybe that's why they spoke about the cost factor there (Did you actually ask about cost?). I'm actually surprised there's not already HH feet for MNF. I'd love HH feet for LTF!

Bluemoonjules, I hope you are correct! I have one pair of spare tans, but will probably end up ordering more extra hands in the next tan event just to have them. Wish we could order extra feet too, just in case. I'd feel better having a spare pair in my parts box.

undermost salamander, your hybrid girl looks very sweet, I've heard in the past that 5star bodies were a good match. Unfortunately, one of the things I really love about LTFs is their bodies, so it's secondary market for me for all of these faceplates. I really don't understand why FL doesn't have bodies as an option, especially since they often have gift faceplates...pretty much every other company that does gift heads/faces frequently has an option to purchase the body separately. I doubt it would take away from their full doll sales at all, and would more likely add to their revenue. Seems an odd choice.

I was also hoping they were going to bring back the babies, but a la carte so I could have an Ante or Bisou baby...I don't like Rara or Ruru.

Bluemoonjules, I agree, I do know that tan parts can only be available when there is a tan event and I understand that, but the thing is, at the last tan event (February-March), there was no part available in tan, only dolls.
I have bought a Mirwen tan in November and some extra feet but now I would like some hands in tan so I asked when tan parts would be available again... I guess I'll have to wait !

Yes, I asked when the Littlefee babies would be back and I also asked if we could have more sculpts and possibly cheaper, because a double-jointed Littlefee baby cost nearly as much as a basic Littlefee. Hence their answer about the price.

High heeled feet are available for Minifees, I bought some but there is no choice of heeled shoes on the Fairyland website, only a pair of resin ones and that's all...

I totally agree with you, I don't like Rara & Ruru so I hoped they would offer new sculpts. Ante & Bisou would make such lovely babies !

 

Doh! I read "shoes" as "feet", sorry about that. I know Doll Heart has some pretty HH shoes for slim MSDs, and I would imagine Leeke does as well (because they have them for YoSD size too ). I also look at the shoes on Etsy quite a bit...they have some nice ones there.

I've never been enamored of FL's shoe selection for LTFs, to be honest, and it looks like MNFs have even fewer options altogether! So sad.

 

Oh, I see! I bought mine in the previous event, so was not aware of that...does seem pretty silly doesn't it!

Wow, have we really gone without a post for almost 20 hours? Time to fix that...

Here's Llama and Parker at a meetup at the old Elfdoll Store not long after they arrived. For over a year they were the only LTFs in the Troop, and traveled everywhere with me.

I get all my minifee shoes from places like Releaserain, they have a wide selection- but I dunno if they do LTF shoes...

Heheh, I've just realized I know next to nothing about LTF shoes....

Because my main gal Stella does not wear any!


We've got hoofles over here. No shoes!

Still, Selby our resident Robot does wear shoes sometimes, and it has a little pair of boots. I think it's going to be after me soon to get it a fluffy spring outfit with some cute mary jane slippers.

 

releasrain does littlefee shoes too, my kids have some of their high top sneakers which are really cute

 

And then there are the shoes from Boneka. But choose the tight fit, as the other is a better fit for slightly bigger YOSDs, as Dream of Baby f.ex.

 

Just bought a second hand LTF body...might give that one to the floating Halloween FP and do a little *ahem* surgery on the incoming Cheshire Pong split boy body...

I have to admit, I'm totally in love with my littlefee addition. Yesterday her proper wig came in the mail and I had a blast photographing her. I think she looks younger and I love being able to see her entire, sweet face:

 

Jules, "Mr. Sandpaper" has taken care of a few dolls here in the past, it's not too difficult. Now, though, I tend to leave the extra bits, because no one ever looks and you never know when a blank FP you're receiving will decide to be a boy instead of a girl...that happened with my Sarang plate, who is now Butch

I need to reset her eyes upwards or to the side a bit, I think, she looks a tad "blank"...are eyes always set facing directly frontward coming from FL? I don't normally keep the acrylic FL eyes, they're always the first thing that gets changed. This is the first time I've ordered the premium eyes, and we're a bit on the fence about them, though I'm sure the flash isn't helping. I'll have to take daylight pics of her this week before I decide.

 

I have a quick question. I restrung my LTF 13 yesterday and noticed when I was done that I forgot that little bead that sits in the neck. Is this important? I'm not sure I can talk my hubby into helping again so soon. He pinched himself pretty good helping me! It's great having her together again!

 

I got rid of all my LTF over a year ago after I fell out of love with them. I am so happy though that little one has come to live with me. I've named her Fern.

eilidh says not to worry, she was quite happy to get a "proper" girl body after having boy bits for far too long. she's old enough that i got her before the alacarte system when pipis were always boys without gender reassignment and she is most definitely a girl!
