I think it can be done, I'm just not good at getting wigs on that are a bit too small! If I could get it on, I can see how it is the perfect length/fullness for him. Alas, no dice. Here he is with the whole doll family (minus Amanda who has no face):

He's kind of in his own universe, but it is still fun to see everyone together. Now to work on a name ... maybe after I find him a shorter wig that fits it will come to me. ^_^ He was a doll I ordered in memory of my ferret who passed away last April--looks so weasely! So clearly, mischief is in the future and that will surely help in finding a name that sticks!

 

The wig fits mine, I tend to turn them inside out and flip them on. Stays better with a wig cap

I'm not sure if this is the right place to say this, but it is about a LittleFee doll so...

In June I'm going to buy a Reni (because he's just too cute!) and he just makes me think of Peter Pan and the Lost Boys... so he's gonna be Peter Pan!
Does anyone else have a Reni? And if so who is he to you?

 

I have a Reni. However, I'm afraid I haven't played with him much - he just sits there looking happy, so his personality and back story are still a mystery. But he is much cuter in person than in the FL pictures - a sadly underappreciated sculpt!

Guess who got a new wig today? Joren thinks she looks just like her favorite, Danaerys Targaereyn.....And NO, she hasn't watched the show, or read the books; they're too much for ME. [emoji27] All Joren knows knows is that she's a pretty princess with dragons.

Reni would make a great Peter Pan! I do have one of my own, but mine's a girl. I don't have a lot of photos of her, since she's still waiting in line for a proper faceup and blushing, but here's some older Halloween spam with her temp faceup:

Oh my gosh! She's just super cute! Ahhh i'm so excited to get a Reni now! (i just need to pick if i want him as a curly haired blonde or curly haired ginger because I think both work for him)

 

Reni was on my shortlist of sculpts too - I'm anxiously awaiting my Rachel's arrival so I know I haven't made a mistake! It does help that both my husband and daughter preferred Rachel to Reni... but still.... that's smile!!! There are quite a few pics of Reni on Flickr too if you haven't seen them already.

There aren't many around with faceups

 

My replacement "girl" piece came for my Juri 13 girl. Is there any tricks I should know about restringing these cuties? I looked at the booklet and it seems pretty straight forward. But if there is anything tricky let me know. I'm going to attempt it tonight.

 

the main thing is to keep all the pieces straight since there are so many. when i restrung mine i just laid out all the pieces the way they came off and then put them back on again in the same order. i also found if you happen to have someone around to help put the last hook or hooks on (depend on if you work bottom up or top down) it makes things easier. when they are strung tightly it can be hard to hold the elastic out far enough to slip that hook in, while at the same time holding onto the body. it can be done, but if you have someone else to hold the body for you it is just easier.

 

I have a Reni boy named Crimson who is my rabbit

 

he is cool shawnee, that gets quite a different expression from the reni smiley face.

i would look either in the library or online to find the picture of peter pan that i liked best and work from there

 

[MENTION=69319]ChildofHumanity[/MENTION], I've most often seen red-headed Peter Pan's (though Disney could color that, I've enjoyed other interpretations with the same idea). But I think any warm-mid tone would suit! He is kind of a wild child--the essence of youth. You could go for a warm, light brown or tawny eyes for a wild look, or maybe a bright, sparkly green to convey the youthfulness.

I think Reni is a great sculpt choice for it!

Oh honey, you've opened up a basket of ummm, stories here. My Reni is a boy, Jack Frost, NOT named after the movie character or any novelization. He's named thus because I got the fullset, and he's the Prince of Ice and Snow. Yeah, I think he was given that title by FL. Backstory? In a nutshell, he was betrothed at a young age, as royalty often is, to Alexandra, more commonly known as Lexi, who herself is a Snow Elf. Unlike Jack she does wear winter wear. Anyway, the story goes as such:

Jack doesn't make an appearance until "The Search Begins", so if you want to start there.... but there's a mystery that doesn't get solved for quite awhile and why he is searching for his lost love, how she got lost, and all that jazz. Does anyone know if super glue is ok to glue in the little magnets? I don't think elmers glue is strong enough. I wanted to go ahead and glue in all the face magnets, then discovered the holes sizes don't match up. They are to small for the magnets. I'm disappointed. I don't know how to fix this problem. If anyone could give me some tips, or ideas on what glue to use, and how to make the magnets fit please do!

I use super glue all the time. I would just be careful about polarity. Double check and maybe mark one side of the magnet to make sure you are gluing it right. I've had issues with incorrectly glued magnets and they are not fun to fix.

So I tried restringing my Juri's body with the girl pelvis and the mid section won't fit in there. Not to mention that we had to drill out the pelvis where the string goes through. I am a bit disappointed to say the least. So now she is sitting in pieces while I decide what to do. I broke my stringing tool as well. It was not a great day!

 

I'm sure super glue is fine if you are careful, but I've always used elmer's white glue to put magnets in and I've not had any problems - it works just fine.

He's adorable. I got my Halloween LTF's body today in the mail, but his/her face has to wait until after my artist's wedding next month!

LOVE Game of Thrones, and Joren's wig is spectacular. My Chloe Alysanne is named for one of the characters in the "backstory" of GOT.

She looks so happy with her basket of candy! I hear ya about having a line of kids waiting for faceups.

clochette, I must admit I'm not a GoT fan, but I just fell in love with Dany when I tried to read the book, if that makes sense. That's why I had to quit. I could see EXACTLY where Martin was going, and I didn't want to go there with him...

Joren changed back into her green dress this morning and posed with some daffodils. I made the most of the crappy lighting with one of the FlickR filters, and I actually think it sets off the contrast with her hair in a really adorable way.

Yeah, you can't get too attached to a character in his world. I've read the series a few times, and she's one of my favorites as well. My little "Dany" is a PKF and she has her own teeny dragons

Thank you! The boots I snagged a long time ago off EBay. Sebastian is technically an android/cyborg/magically mechanic like person, he was in a horrible accident and was dying when he was rescued by Briella a fawn who took him to a bunch of fairy like creatures that brought him back to life. Now he's forever stuck between the fairy world and human world and his life is in a tiny clock that a tinkering little fairy guy is in charge of. Which is why you usually see Sebastian with Thyme.

Clochette: Thank you. I bought this on impulse from Ebay years ago and it sat in my drawer till Reni arrived. It's very well made and was very reasonably priced, but unfortunately this seller is no longer around.

Thank you...Unfortunately, you see only half of Sterling sitting there on the left, and Kirk isn't in the pic because he's been MIA for almost three months and I only found him TODAY! Little booger was hiding in a bag with future Xmas presents, which I luckily went through before I took to storage. I swear I'd looked in every single box and bag in the house, but I hadn't thought to look in that one because it was a bag of gloves for my students for next year, and the handles were tied together (which I normally do when something is going to be sitting in the bag for a while). For some reason I decided to empty it out and count them before I put it in the storage box, and there he was. Such a relief. Not clue one how he got there.

Sebatian is welcome to come and play anytime he wishes. We have lots of kids for him to play with here.

Puppedoll, including the ones on order, I have 37 LittleFees. It's a sickness. That picture is cropped, or you would see the rows of girls behind that row of boys....

Thank you...I love the little MM ears, they are keychains from Disneyland. They fit both LTFs and PKFs very well.
