Love the Halloweeny outfits!! I'm sitting here scratching my mosquito bites. I sprayed the kids before they went out in the backyard the other day and they still had a ton of bites, had to bring them back inside.
Looking forward to pumpkin pictures!! We are going to go out today to see if we can find any pumpkins for carving.

So, I finally got around to making a pair of footie pajamas. I am bad at sewing and the first attempt was too small so I had to adjust the pattern I was using (found here in the clothes section of the workshop).

Ah, okay. Still, it could be worse, that could have gone to drugs or some other illicit or unsavory substance. You can always remind her of that.

Aha! So you're the one who got that shirt! I was just about to buy it when I noticed it up and got sold on me. So I retaliated by buying the two ghostie shirts instead. XD They look very cute in their outfits.

Crossposting this on a few threads I frequent: So, I'd like to thank everyone for the well wishes. Sadly, my little sweetie whom I've had for over 16 years, had to be put to sleep. He was getting worse even with medicine and treatment and we figured we couldn't let him suffer any longer. I am going to miss one of the biggest sources of light in my life but places like this board and a couple others I frequent are helping to keep me sane. So I thank you for the spam and thoughts.

I know! Isn't it disgusting? I was taking photos in the backyard of my MNF on her horse and got chewed up! Those things need to die off for the year.

Thanks! I love these dresses! We didn't make the pumpkin patch today since I realized it was Saturday and there would be a ton of kids which doesn't translate well to doll pictures. I'm hoping early tomorrow morning when everyone else is in church.

I just had to share their cemetary photo though.

 

Oh I love those pyjamas Lucky. Both my girls will be arriving with sleeping face plates complete with faceups. I'll have to root around and find that pattern.

Sorry to hear that. Losing a pet is so difficult. They leave such a big ol' empty spot in your life. I've never had birds, but I have had to say goodbye to a few wonderful dogs over the years.

My best wishes to you. I hope you're okay I'm so sorry, losing pets that you love is terrible. Especially one that you've loved for so long. I lost my 24 year old cat earlier this year. I would feel terrible if something happened to my parrot, what you're going through is so hard. At least he's not in pain any more.

 

Little Fees are the sweetest little dolls. I have to get a couple one of these days

 

Sorry for your loss, LM. Pets are family to most of us; I completely understand.

On a lighter note: if I'm lucky, elf Ante the second should arrive late next week! Somehow, my LTF family has ended up fully elf-y...and the next doll I'm planning on has big elf-ish ears too! There's something about those ears... I'm still highly impatient in waiting for Mint. I'm hoping I luck out and he arrives before Christmas, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm still debating eventually adding a Pipi and a boy Chiwoo to the mix. Just don't tell hubby! >_>

Thanks for the comments on the pj's. Tomorrow I might make another pair for Gerard. To those interested, here is the link to the tutorial/pattern I used. You will need to make the legs a bit longer and wider and make the feet bigger too or it will be too tight for the LTF and you won't be able to put the feet on. The sleeves and top part are fine though.

I will pay off the balance so she will be arriving home soon. Can't wait to get her; guess I had better round up a wig and some other things to welcome her home.

Cute stuff is okay Adie. My 3 year old granddaughter doesn't like scary Halloween stuff either so this year she is going as a Princess and has insisted that her little sister go as something harmless like a butterfly.

Great Halloween display of your doll family Myushi. Do you leave it out and set up for the special day or do you photograph it and then put the dolls away again? My dolls, when they arrive, will have a permanent display spot that I hope to vary with the changing seasons/holidays/special events.

Sweetiemom you Ante looks adorable in her witchy costume. It makes it even harder for me to wait for my Ante Elf. Next Halloween I'll be able to participate!

In lieu of trick-or-treating, my hoarde went to a meetup yesterday at Pam's and got to wear their costumes there.

Morgan went as Princess Leia, although we had to "cobble" together her uncooperative wig into makeshift Leia buns (there is a lack of Yo sized bobby pins!). Not my best outcome, alas.

She was quite put out that the wings did not actually work, but was placated with the fact that she got to spend some time with Rosslyn's girl Stella All in all, it was a fun day!

Thank you..it's stolen from a Hasbro doll (and honestly, she looks MUCH better in it, that Leia was uhg-lee). I'll be making Morgan one of her own that will be more accurate than that one is.

I am still stuck deciding on what wig to get for my girl. Does anyone here have a Bisou, and a 1mim wig they could model on her? So far I see they look good on Ante's but I don't know about Bisous....

 

All the little costumes are great, even the ones representing "soft skins". LOL

I think I've seen more costumes on here tonight than I've seen at my own door. Usually I get over 100 kids, but so far there has been less than 20 and it's already past the usual "rush" time.

 

Loki hopes that everyone got a lot of candy and had a great Halloween.

Wovenflame, I've gotten a whole 2 tonight. I don't normally get many, but this is far less than ever before.

 

We got a total of 4 trick or treaters and they were from the same family. Every year it gets less and less. I really miss all of the trick or treaters.

 

Well Loki, I "got a lot of candy" to give out, but then only had 33 kids arrive. I was giving out triples by the end and my husband still has an unopened box to himself.

I guess Halloween is becoming less popular...or at least the trick-or-treating is. Maybe kids are going to Halloween parties more now?

A lot of communities have Halloween parties and trick or treating at malls to defer the kids from going door to door. Where my mom lives they even canceled trick or treating for a few years because they considered it "evil".
