Oops! Never shop when hungover. I just found out that I ordered something from Etsy this morning when I woke up hungover. Now I can't remember that I did it and I can't imagine why I liked this item so much that I wanted to buy it in the first place. o__o;;; It doesn't suit my girl AT ALL! Woah. Let this be a lesson for us all ! Still a funny story, though!

 

Feyfriend: I bribe Souji for the cross dressing... I need him to model the dresses, so I can sell them, so we can order His Luna!
He's been a really good sport about the whole thing...


However, he's really really REALLY thrilled to have some "boy shoes" now.
(do I dare tell him that girls wear boots too? It's not like he hasn't seen me wearing Docs... hmmm but my Docs ARE kinda girly, white with a turquoise pattern on them... and the other pair is solid turquoise....)

Wiske: also beware of cruising shopping sites when over tired... you'll bid too high on Ebay, or buy stuff that starts a whole new hobby elsewhere... (I got into dolls via an art exhibit, and then cruising doll sites, and then Ebay... and then I was DOOooooomed, well... in a good way. )

We are saving for body for Emily...I had one offer, but no cash ;/ and my DH didnt agree to borrow me buhuu. So Emily (the modded one) need to wait for her body yet. I have like 50$..and I need like 250$ more. Hopefully I will have some from tax refund, but I dunno if it will be enough (since dollar exchange varies recently)

 

Yup, boys modeling girl clothes makes the girls come home faster. Tell Souji that my puki boy does it all the time. My pukis worked hard to get more Fairyland resin at my house. That's how I was able to afford my El.

I still can't get over his little sweater. Knitting that small would destroy me and I've seen you knit for PUKIS!

 

Hello! from Beatrice, that's the last of her because she will go to the spa and come back transformed as Natacha the little school girl. Everyone pictures are beautiful.

 

Ban Sidhe Delaney looks like she tired of the cold but it's always nice to see her! We are having an unusual cold snap and I have to admit that I'm loving it!

PaulinePol Thanks so much! She does look a bit more pouty than normal. I think she's realized that she went from a spoiled only child to one of the rabble. But she seems to love her new sister even if she thinks she's a bit "fluffy" still. I'm sure Ruby will have an (bad) influence on Amber.

Sylvin - yeah it's not easy for kids to realize that they are not the only one to spoil anymore but I am sure she will be fine! Oh and yes, she will have some influence on Amber!

Maselanka - I cant wait to meet her new companion! And thank you , i hope it will be enough too, I also cant wait to see them together, I am so tired of switching faceplates and wigs already!!

working on it, crap keeps coming up that either slows down my sales (weird stuff going on with Etsy changing the site around so I moved my shop) and then *surprise* car repair. *head desk* crossing my fingers that I get to be "frivolous" with the tax refund IF it wasn't an error...

Feyfriend: I do a lot of my work by feel, but for stuff like Pick up a stitch or k2 together I have to watch what I'm doing, I have a "daylight lamp" and a magnifier, and limit how long I work at a time on "tiny stuff". but it's kind of a thrill to finish something which includes a new or improved skill at an itty bitty level.

 

Sylvin - i hope so too...I so cant wait to see them together and when Emily finally will get her body, Lulu will be pleased she dont have to share anymore.

trinlayk - gaah i totally get that. I hate unexpected things to ruin the plans. In Sept i sold 2 big dolls and planned to use all of this funds for my dolls (probably Em would have the body already) ...and then I had to pay big bill for dental care ...so yeah bye bye funds. And marketplace seems to be so slow recently. I will keep fingers crossed for you, so you dont have anything unexpected anymore to pay so Souji will have his girlfriend soon. Tax refund please come and save us! Lol

Ok it's midnight here and I should be sleeping already, have to get up early to take my daughter to preschool Goodnight everyone (and I hope to see some more spam tomorrow)

Felt - I would also look around on etsy and ebay - it's cheaper to get a non-fullset for sure and then you can really customize your girl's look with whatever outfits you choose to buy! I got my girl and ordered some clothes from TTYA and YumePon and both orders came well before Ashlyn arrived. She's got more clothes than I know what to do with but they're all her style AND, my final cost for about 6 outfits, shoes, wig, and extra set of wings was still lower than the cost of a fullset doll. - But that's just my opinion. Looking on Fairyland's site right now it looks like the LTF Ante Elf Pink/White Sylphs are still available. And while many doll releases do come around event time, quite often they will just happen in between events as well.
I hope that helped you some! It's just my opinion though!

 

OHHHHH SmoteyMote, you have given me hope!

My problem is that I love playing dress up with dolls-- the clothes are really really important to me. If it weren't for the possibility of having a really stunning outfit with a fullset, I would have bought a basic already but maybe I should take the plunge. Hmm hmm hmm.

 

Does anyone have the pink sylph ante elf blond wig on their dolls? If you do can i see it? I ordered her about 6 weeks ago and would love to see it "in action"

I am going to second Smoteymote. Almost every doll I have bought was a fullset, and they have worn those outfits maybe once or twice. And not a single one is wearing the original wig. The only thing that might get regular use are the shoes ...

This size is super easy to find clothing for. I just bought two of the cutest outfits you have seen from Leekeworld for a crazy low price! And the talent of some of the people here and on etsy is staggering. I personally *love* DancingBee even though I do not have anything from her... yet. Seriously thinking about the strawberry set on her site! Also Swan20 has lovely vintage/romantic clothing. I would look around. And Ante's are PURE LOVE!

Designed For Smiles made Odette a pair of underwear when I visited her on Saturday. >.> My poor child was lacking.

Felt I'm sort-of the opposite of some of the others. Do not get me wrong, Spampy and others like her create fantastic clothing. But my Ante Elf (Petit Ange fullset) gets a lot of good use out of her fullset clothing. I was lucky and she was wearing a style that Odette would really use. I did sell the wig and eyes, but as for the clothing, it was a big factor for me. ^^

 

Wow...finally a new thread...and I have no new pics!! I knew I shoulda made some time for pics yesterday!! I love seeing all the new pics that a new thread brings though!!!!

Felt - Also, I wanted to add on to Brett's comment. I think some of the fullset outfits are stunning. I wouldn't NOT buy a fullset if you really fell in love with one, but if the look you're going for doesn't really fit the fullsets out now and you're looking to get a doll sooner rather than later, going with a basic doll and then buying clothes separately isn't a bad idea!
For me, usually the fullset outfits I want come with a different sculpt.... so I'd have to buy it off the marketplace anyway.


QUESTION?! Does anyone have their Littlefee dressed up as a Knight... or squire or king or queen or any sort of that-kind-of-era? I don't mind costumes at all!! I have this tempting idea to get a boy LTF at some point and make him into like "The Littlest Knight" or something. And make him armor and it'd be adorable.

Speaking of Ante Elf fullsets, I'm still debating back and forth in my head whether to order now or wait until summer... I hadn't given much thought to fullsets before, but now that I actually have a little more dolly money than I expected, I'm thinking I might order the Pink Sylph fullset along with some (or all!) of the extra hands.

@ Designed for Smiles I'm biased, but I love my Ante to bits, and the sooner you get yours the sooner there can be duo Ante hijinks at doll meets!

Felt there's so many wonderful outfits around so I don't think it's a problem. You should take a look at Spampy's site. I can use hours just looking at all her wonderful fabric and planning what outfits I want to order next.

She made both these outfits and personally that green dress is one of my favorit LittleFee outfits ever.






Spampy also made the t-shirt and socks my Ante is wearing here and the pants my Shiwoo is wearing while the dress is from hiblythe on Etsy. You have to keep checking her shop because she makes new stuff all the time. My boy's t-shirt is a Boneka size 24. You have to look for Boneka in Google because there's many different shops who sells them and they might have different outfits in stock. (They don't fit the same shoe though)

LittleFees also fit most of Ty-Girlz outfits. some are a little loose and some are a little tight but they are so cheap.

And then there's Oldenburg. I don't have any myself but I have been told these fits LittleFees.

As you can see there's lots and lots of possibilities when it comes to clothes for these little ones.

LTF knights would be adorable. You've given me more ideas for what my boy needs when he gets here. I'm going to have to bust out the leather and modeling clay. I would love to see what you would do with a boy doll, since your girls are all so beautiful.

Smotey, I have a Yo dressed as a knight, and I've dressed my kids in various medieval outfits. I haven't tried making armor yet, but I've seen SD sized attempts and they've been pretty nice.

 

Eeee, I did it! I just put in my order for my Elf Ante Pink Sylph fullset (NS)! I know they won't be forwarding my order until Saturday, but still! >w< *wriggles with excitement*

Noozie - I actually don't have a sculpt in mind quite yet - I'm kind of hoping they'll release more LTF boys but if not, I'm leaning towards a LTF Lewi with an opened-eye mod or maybe a Rachel boy. I..... I wasn't to sure on this idea but a;lksjdf;alksjf IT'S SO TEMPTING NOW.

FeyFriend - oh man, please do so. Because I really have no idea HOW I'm going to do his armor and stuff. I've seen some interesting tutorials on DoA and at least now I do have a ltf body to work with! But I'm so tempted to do chainmail... but can you imagine chainmail that SMALL?
