Fairyland Feeple60 Discussion - part nine

They released more photos along with her story. I really like her concept ^^ She's very pretty! And the dress is gorgeous. But, still not a full release of photos, hmm.

Hey Guys!!! Fairyland has released more photos of the Feeple60 Lacrima (tears of Raven)! You can check out the pictures on their blog and on the website for her sale! Also if you head on over to the Feeple60 Moe Basic page there is a better image of Lacrima's faceup but the sculpt picture is yet to be updated!

Wow she really have a pretty face , but I'm not sure about the blue dark circles under her eyes ( even if I understand that she would have if she has cried a lot .... )

 

I wanted to see the vampire head...

 

Wow, she is absolutely stunning...the more I look at her, the more I fall in love with her. Why, oh why did you release her so close to Sia, Fairyland? That's where most of my doll money is right now!

 

I agree there, I told my husband no more until I pay off Sia, I mean that's next Thursday, but if she's still available I'll get her.

 

Oh boy, they did not release her at an opportune time. xD I just put in an order a week or two ago for 3 Minifees and a Feeple65, but now Lacrima is seriously on my want list. I might see if I can put together a layaway for a basic version of her once November hits. xD

 

Dang, I still have....seven more payments to go on Sia, ha! That's very impressive! I hope you're able to pull this one off!

ShadowedForce, yeah, I think I might try for a basic version layaway, myself...if I don't decide to go with the minifee Ante I've wanted for ages. Minifees are more readily available than the Feeple60s though, it seems like, so it might be best to strike while the iron's hot as it were. Ugh, I don't know, poor timing!

 

I agree its not the best time but feel if she's not Ordered, the secondary market prices will skyrocket... Sigh
I have to pay my other layaways first.. Then the question remains.. Tan or normal skin.. Haha

 

It was promising but not meant to be. While I love Lacrima's eyes, her lips put me off. I also like her full-set outfit but just not enough to justify ordering a whole full-set doll. The story is beautiful however and I'm looking forward to seeing what others will do with her.

Still curious about the vampire head, will it have 'elven' ears?

 

I was thinking the same about her lips. Maybe it's just the way they have them painted? Does anyone here think she somewhat resembles Siean?

 

I agree I want to see her Vampire head... I wasnt in the market for another SD sided doll but if I would be swayed if there were pictures of that, I want a beautiful SD sized vampire real bad....

 

Lacrima is gorgeous. I really want to do a m-line body with her head.

 

Those of you that ordered Lacrima, did you get tan or normal skin?

 

I want to get her in tan I see her looking absolutely lovely in tan.

 

In any case 3 heads and a lot of stuff are very tempting.

 

I really really wanted to see that vampire head, too...

 

Lacrima is really lovely... perhaps oddly, I kind of like the idea of this head as a boy.

I'm leaving this one be, as I really have too many unfinished dolls and heads without bodies to justify even daydreaming like this, ha. I really like the slightly broader noses recent FL releases seem to have.

 

Im really disappointed and furious with Fairyland! They removed the Miyu sculpt from the Feeple60 Moe line just so they could add Lacrima! They Moe line already has a limited amount of sculpts and the only way to get Miyu now and the other sculpts is by paying an extra $100 for the La Carte option? What.

 

Ohhh, Lacrima is so pretty! I'm not a fullest girl, but that feathered dress is swoonworthy. I can't wait to see some custom faceups on her.

 

When they released the other photos of Lacrima, I caved and bought her I also got a tan Chloe, therefor had enough for the event with three different heads! Yippy!
For those of you wanting the know what skin color people are choosing for Lacrima, I picked Normal

 

I really like her face and am curious about the vampire head as well. I can't afford her right now, but even if I could I'd have to pass. I really dislike the Moe body. I'm really annoyed that FL has not made the regular body available again. >8(

 

First time writing in any fl thread. I first fell for their seahorse and now Lacrima as well. Eeshh!
I got her fullset in ns. It gets too gross out here that tan turns real green and white yellows something wicked. So, NS it is. I'll likely be one of the last to get their Lacrima as I opted for a 8 month layaway (together with my Sia order)

I hope they continue the Moe line for a long time to come. I'd love a tan moe girl in the future but I just can't afford to throw money at Fairyland at the moment. They should alternate between the Moe and the regular line so lovers of 1/3 BJD can enjoy the best of both worlds. I really do hope they will bring back Miyu in the future. They should be expanding the head options for the Moe line instead of replacing certain sculpts with others.

 

Why don't they release Rona, Siean, etc.. Its always the same molds...

Anyone concerned about the Raven outfit staining? FL says outfit is tight so not sure she could wear a bodysuit. Ideas?

 

Yeah I would think it would be very possible to stain. Also, I didn't notice until I watched the video that her outfit also has dark blue in it! Have they released a pic of her vampire head yet? I'm very curious to see it. She is very pretty just not what I was looking for. I know there will always be " that next one" around the corner to purchase

 

A bodysuit is probably out of the question seeing it is indeed pretty tight as stated by Fairyland themselves. Also it would probably look horrid around the chest area seeing she is wearing some kind of lace corset thingy. Staining is one thing but I would also worry about handling that dress. Just look at those beautiful lace details near the chest and shoulder area. I'm thinking that must be very delicate. Can anyone tell if the dress is made of multiple parts? It seems like it but I can't tell for sure. Also can someone tell me why they're spraying water over the decor and BJD itself? First time I've ever seen it, it surely got my attention.

As for staining, you can treat the fabric by soaking it in a solution of three parts water to one part (white) vinegar. Make sure to rinse under cold water, so all the vinegar is removed (no more smell), and the water runs clear. Leaving vinegar in fabric can damage it over time so proceed with caution. Then again delicate outfits probably shouldn't be washed, even by hand to prevent any kind of damage. I don't think vinegar is good for those feathers on the dress either.

'Natural feathers must be handled with caution and dress will restrict movement when worn'? Atleast Fairyland is honest about it, quite good of them to add disclaimers to avoid dissapointment. I'm not too sure if I'm comfortable owning a BJD dress with real feathers unless I know those feathers were humanely acquired but off course that a whole different discussion altogether. I do adore the imitation raven skull on the hat though.

In short I really do love the concept of Lacrima and it's a beautiful tribute to the 5th anniversary of Sylphe du Sud. Happy anniversary from the whole BJD crew here!

 

I was able to join a split where I will be getting her vampire head, body, and outfit. We got white skin. I like the idea of white skin for my vampire girl. I do wish they would have photos of her vampire head but I do think it will be lovely.

I'm so excited to get that outfit. It will be my first ever fullset outfit. But it definitely looks like it could stain. I think it would be OK, she just can't be in it for long periods of time probably.

Congrats to those getting her I'm hoping she will start arriving in March, but we shall see.

I thought it was to keep the wig from getting poofy but they sure sprayed a lot so I'm not sure.

 

Feeple60 Event?? Oh no!! The temptation to buy my Miyu girl some more hands is strong! I just don't know if it's worth it to pay for shipping for just two set of hands.. and I'm waiting to be paid for my current commission before I buy my first Minifee.. but what if these hands never become available again?? Decisions, decisions...

 

Thanks for your advice! I love her but want to keep her dressed and am unsure about the staining...sigh. Ur right, there is always a next one..ha. I have not seen a pic of vampire head. Maybe soon as everyone wants to see it.

 

Hi Hannah! Long time no see, does Elena have a face-up yet? She's really cute without one already though. Perhaps you could ask someone to order two sets of hands for you along with their order so they can ship it to you afterwards for less than you'd have to pay Fairyland?

My Miyu will be needing a body first because Juri 2014 has taken over hers for now. Ugh...I need to win the lottery or something. No funds for a second body at the moment.

How is your Miyu going? I think I read that she is being a little difficult for you, as dolls sometimes are :S

Elena sadly does not have a faceup yet, lol. I've been so busy using her as reference to create poses for my current character design project that I couldn't bear to part with her head! But I do plan to send her off to Vitta Vera by the end of the year.
I've also been kinda putting it off because I'm a little nervous about shipping her. Does anyone recommend registered air mail, or should I opt for express courier?

I just shipped my Juri 2014 head out to an artist in the UK, my first time as well so I'm just as nervous as you are. I sent her by registered mail including tracking. Not sure how long it will take to get to the destination compared to express courier. I guess it all depends on which country you're sending from and to which country as well. Vitta Vera is a lovely artist indeed.

My Miyu has indeed been a pain in my behind, we can't seem to get along. I still love her to bits though so now I'm just taking a break and focusing on the Juri head for a change. I'm sure all the pieces of the puzzle will come together in the end. No use forcing these kind of things. I've even been contemplating reshelling her in tan skin but we'll see how it goes.

 

Tan Lacrima is on the way! Tan because thanks to Anne Rice I really like the idea of a tan vampire.
Also because my first Feeple Celine is a normal skin and I am 99.999% sure my dear wife ordered me a Sia mermaid package in white skin as a gift.
Obviously I am going to be crazy with anticipation by the time either of them gets here.

 

Wow, I just bought my very first doll... A Feeple60 Lacrima in normal skin. I just saw her and I knew I had to have her. My hands are shaking right now. I think I'm still in shock. I've wanted a bjd for so long, but I never had the guts to buy one, and now I just bought a fullset. It's a lot of money, but honestly I don't really care. I'm so excited!

I keep telling myself: No more big dolls. So what did I do? I ordered Basic Lacrima. I simply couldn't let that sculpt get away from me. FL may re-issue it later in another size but it wouldn't be the same. I'll do her makeup myself. I think she's going to be Elsa from Disney's Frozen. So excited!

 

Couldn't just LET HER GO, huh? Haha, sorry, couldn't resist! I've seen a lovely Elsa in a Dollfie Dream group before, but I haven't seen many in resin form. Looking forward to seeing your work after she arrives!

I love Elsa's gowns. Luckily I can start sewing right away because I can use FM60 Mirwen for fittings. That should keep me from hitting the buy button anywhere else in the meantime.

I am considering trying to put together a FL Soony event head and ordering a full blank Moe Chloe from DDE, but I am concerned about resin matching. Have you guys had mostly good luck with resin matching from different years or batches? I know it's a bit of a risk, and I also know if the resin was very noticeably different it would drive me nuts. >_<;

 

I've had a few FL dolls put together from different batches--it happens every time I buy a body for an event head. The only time I saw a difference in color was when I put a recent event faceplate on a head and body that were 3 or 4 years old. That one showed a marked difference where the two resins came together. With a wig and clothing, however, you couldn't tell. In general, if head and body are recent you shouldn't see any difference in resin color.

Put me down as another one waiting for a fullset Lacrima. I've ordered a face-up on the (mystery!) vampire head in the vague, possibly destined for failure hope of using that on the fullset and the OE one as a (very pretty, maybe even Breakaway-esque) boy.

I wish I had ordered Lacrima's vampire head, but I was trying to cut costs so I kept her very basic. I wonder if FL will show us the vampire head before the order period ends?

Someone asked about seeing a photo of the vampire head in the CS Center and FL wrote back:

"Photos of Vampire head is currently unavailable but expected to be available for view from our image blog within a week." They answered this on 10/26.

Awesome! I was afraid they weren't going to show it.

 

FairyLand is pretty good about showing pictures of event items and extras... but they are a bit notorious for cutting it close... or being entirely late.

 

Within a week of 10/26 is tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Maybe I can still add it to my order without delaying my delivery time too much.

 

Congratulations to everyone who ordered Lacrima, I hope she brings you plenty of joy. I'm wondering if any Lacrima will make it to their owners before the start of next year. I'm so curious about the vampire head as well, too bad I don't have an extra body lying around.

My elf Soony arrived at the face-up artist. I'm so very curious how she'll turn out. I hope I have better luck with her than with my Miyu. My big girl has given me more headaches than inspiration lately but playing with a headless naked 1/3 girl isn't much fun either, haha~

 

I'm sure everyone has already seen the Vampire Lacrima head but it is at their blog now. I kinda like it a lot. Too bad I still have to wait for some more finances until I'm able to order, and wait for the heads from the artist too. I don't yet know which heads will be finished first, so I don't know what bodies to order (or dolls).
