Fairyland Feeple60 Discussion - part eight

Hi guys, I just wanted to introduce myself and my new girl Mishka. She's a feeple60 tan Celine I got for Christmas! I'm having a ton of fun with her large size.

I wish the F60s would come back. It has been a year...I think they've decided to discontinue them...

 

Maybe we all need to ask for them, so Fairyland/CP will re-consider and bring them back.

 

That's my feeling as well. I really wanted a Siean and Mirwen - both on the actual F60 body, the Moe line is too short for my collection. I'm super bummed, but at least that leaves more money for other dolls

 

she's stunning! Is that her stock make-up? You are all making me wish I'd got a Celine! Perhaps I need a photo session with my Rin!

well it's official, fairyland has finally gone and convinced me to get my first 1/3 size doll.
I have a soony elf head incoming, and I'm currently trying to scrape together the funds to get a body ordered for her hopefully before the current event is over.
I'm not sure who she'll be, but I'm really excited.
I got to see an f60 moe in person the other day and I really like the size a lot, more than any other big doll I've handled previously.

Thanks! I actually bought her sweater off etsy. It's a bit big on her, but it gives a cute baggy look.

 

A Mirwen in any size is never a mistake, Ektou. Besides, you can always buy a Celine at a later time.

My only mistake in buying my FM60 Mirwen was choosing the default faceup. She'll be getting a new one when the weather cooperates.

Happy New Year everyone!
I have had a super busy holiday season, with lots of family squished into our house, and this has meant that I have had no time for my dolls. I've really missed my play time.
Having a quieter day today, so snuck a couple of minutes to get Paige out and take her photo to share with all the gorgeous F60s here. She's on the regular body, as I bought her before the Mline was released. I really wish I had known that fairyland had them in the works though, as I love the look of the the Moe line body. I've been admiring all the new FM60s popping up here, and more and more lately I am tempted by a Tan Rin. Can't afford her now though, but I might have to start a savings fund for a future event.

I'm loving all the soony spam! I have had my eye on a gorgeous soony but tbh I have one layaway to pay off already and I don't want to have to shop for another body now.... But these girls make me pine...

 

In all the pictures I've seen, both sizes of Soony look the same.

There are still quite a few for sale going around. Hopefully when you have the funds for her you are able to still get one ^^

Wovenflame, the only thing I did different from the pattern was to run my ribbon through the lace trim. The pattern calls for eyelets, not trim, but I didn't want to deal with them.

 

Smart thinking, and good to know. I've done a few Minifee corsets and the eyelets are no fun at all!

 

SO~ Question for the prop lovers in this thread. I'm trying to make myself a little less antsy in my wait for my lovely Sionna, and I thought I might like to start prop hunting so I could have a few things around for her when she gets here. Is there a good way for me to tell if the scale will be right for my girl? Sorry if this isn't exactly the right place to ask ^^'

I've just noticed the little heart icon at the bottom of people's posts - is that new or have I just been really unobservant? I'm assuming that it works in the same way as a like button on FB?

 

Well, i caved. I officially bought my first F60. Well, not really, i joined a split for a Moe body, and when i find a f60 miyu head on the market place i will have my first full F60!!! I am sooooooooo excited!!!

Although, neither of my Soonys are in Tan. My older Delf Soony is a more creamy peach colour, because of her age, and my FP60 Elf Soony is just extra blushed around the cheeks.

I have yet to see a tan Soony... Fairyland didn't offer tan event heads, did they?

Btw, I've had lots of luck finding Soony photos on Flickr and Deviant Art. Just do a search. Flickr has a couple of Soony-specific groups too.

 

Finally my mako eyes arrived~ after like 4 months lol. xD

well my floating head wasn't floating for very long, I got lucky and found a body for her secondhand instead of having too go through the company wait xD
she's currently rocking the celine fullset because it's literally the only thing I have that will fit her, but I couldn't be happier despite being utterly unprepared for her arrival.
now I've just got to figure out who she is, and where she's going for a faceup!

oh and these won't be her permanent eyes, but they were the only ones I had that even sort of fit >.<;;
[edit] also, she's NS... the lighting in my room is atrocious...

So I'm caving and buying a Feeple Moe Sionna next week. She will be on layaway from DDE so it will be awhile before I get her.
Im reading the thread about clothing, but wondering if anyone has experience with TTYA jeans for them? I really want to try and order her some things before she gets here.

Also, what would everyone's guess be on the right size for Mako owl eyes for the Sionna? I know the company eyes are going to be way too big for how I like them just like in my minifee.

Everyone has such beautiful soonys and I really want one, but hopefully in the future they release it in a normal head or I can find the elf one at a good price.

 

My Celine has some TTYA pants, not the jean but close that fit her fine. I will get some pictures of her tomorrow since it's dark here now.
As for eyes I am getting 14mm ones for my Sionna given she seems to have smaller eye holes, and I have had good luck with 14mm in most of my F60 heads.

Thats good with the 14mm, that's what my minifee ryeon wears, so worst case if I don't like them in Sionna, they would probably fit her.
I'm so excited but a little nervous about having a bigger girl.

 

I put 14mm in my Celine and they work fine. I think it's a size that goes with most feeples.

Well today after selling one of my minifees (the one I bonded with the least), I managed to pay off the layaway for my tan skin Rin. She should be on her way to me soon! I can't wait to see her.

 

Seeing more Soonys makes me miss Miley, I finally got up the nerve to send her out for a face up. In the mean time I redid Juri and Seeli's styles just a little bit. (Juri 2012 and Chloe respectively) it is a crappy flash photo, and I'm still training Seeli's new wig, but their hair color is really growing on me.

 

I've heard that the feeple 60s are basically just big minifees, is that actually what they're like? I was goofing off with my current girl yesterday and despite her being just a little too small for my taste, I'm still nervous about taking on such a size difference. Anyone know a place where I can see some really good comparison shots between feeple 60 moe and active line minifee gals? I'm curious as to how far the similarities go. Again, sorry if this isn't exactly the right place for this ^^'

leeanne - I'd say yes, that's what they feel like to me.
I only have an a-line minifee not an m-line, so there are differences in the body type, but they handle very similarly.
as someone who was never really into the idea of owning big dolls because their size felt cumbersome, I have to say I really like the size of the f60 m-line a lot.

on another note, I did a photoshop mock-up of my soony's potential faceup.
it may change before I actually get her painted, but I wanted to at least start playing around with what she might look like.
