Fairyland Feeple60 Discussion - Part 15

I got to learn how to pose the bunny legs. It sure takes time to figure out but she’s still lose compare to my other dolls

 

@Quinn.nnp Those are some great poses! I've noticed that I seem to have an easier time posing the legs if I move them from the hip joints instead of the thighs, but I definitely plan on sueding her upper torso joint at the very least, as that so far seems to be the biggest thing that throws off her balance for me. I need to disassemble the bunny legs for blushing anyway, so I'm still going to try to figure out some kind of sueding or stabilizing that can be added to the hip piece.

 

Does anyone know if Fairyland has plans to bring back the other F60 girls? Carol for example?

 

I asked them about it in the middle of July and got that answer (screenshot below). Maybe they will release Feeple60 for one of the future events and bring back their other sculpts in the same time? I also want to order Carol, hope they will keep the promise

What size diameter do you all use to restring FM60s? The Wiki says 3.5mm. does everyone pretty much agree with that?

I think a lot of 'pros' on the forum suggest to always use as large as will fit. But I'm not sure what that is?

@Nikki'sNewObsession I just love Angel Toast's work. I would like her to do a face-up for me some day. I do have a head I bought on the MP that she painted. The contemplation of having a doll gone from my house after I have received her is hard for me. I'm a nut, I know

On a sidenote, I always seem to have trouble adjusting my dolls eyes. I put them in, check them from every angle, think they're okay. Then I put everything back on, the headcap, the wig etc. Then I take a picture and on that picture one eye suddenly looks off, like out of angle. And then I cannot unsee that on my doll. That really drives me mad, I hope I'm not alone there.

 

You are definitely not alone. I also hate it that when I finally get it right, it doesn't always stay that way. I'll snap a few pictures a week later and one of the eyes will have shifted!

Your Miwa is gorgeous, by the way. I love the wig you have chosen for her!

@Koma I love your Cygne. I have one too and they have such different face-ups, they don't even look like the same sculpt! Yours looks similiar to the Cygne LittleFee face up. I love that face-up!

 

@Amadiel, she's very cute! I love that wig, it's perfect with the style of her dress. Positioning eyes can definitely be a challenge. I often have my camera with me when I'm putting eyes in, so I can see how they look in a photo and I'm not just relying on my naked eye. But sometimes when I just can't make the eyes look right, it's actually those particular eyes... so if I use a different pair, it's easy to make them look good. It's all highly mysterious

 

I think her eyes are just right, but the camera warps the face when pictures are taken up close. If I still had a proper camera I could do so much more with a zoom lens. You can zoom in (non-digital) and the face is no longer warped.

@Dollquest @overlordu Thank you for your compliments. The wig was very difficult to put on though. It's an 8-9 wig, but it's very tight on her head.

 

Hello all! I just bought an in stock Miwa from Denverdoll and it should be here on Tuesday. I am curious what size eyes everyone uses.. I tend to like the real eye look. She also needs a faceup so I am sure she will be blank for quite a while.

 

I wish I could help but I don't have Miwa but only older sculpts and I just don't know how to advise. Hopefully this bump will catch someone's eyes

 

My Miwa uses 14mm eyes on this picture. I was also going for a realistic look.

Does it look like a Feeple60 boy will ever return? I need a male body for a floating event head.

EDIT: Should read the thread first, saw that they're hoping to bring back A La Carte. Hopefully they include the boy body too. Would make it easier to host a split then as well.

 

Wow, all the Miwa bunny girls I’m seeing around are so cute. Seriously thinking of picking up one of the in stock Miwas at DDE. And I really haven’t seen any pink legs around, which I was leaning towards. Anyone pick up a pink legged Miwa?

 

Hey everyone! I’m wanting to branch out my character for my MNF Ante and I want her in Feeple60 size. I thought there was a Feeple60 Ante, but it must have been a fever dream.

What Feeple60 sculpts would do best to be an older Ante?

 

Ahhh has anyone seen the new F60 boy?! He is absolutely STUNNING and I definitely need him! I'm hoping this means more boys in the future in the bigger sizes, and maybe a regular basic choice for F60 boys

Yep, I just paid off my layaway with DDE …. Just in time for another one for big Alan and hopefully big…….female F60.

 

I think Miwa would be a good sculpt! Miwa does have smaller eyes but her lips are similar.

I wish CP had sloped the shoulders a little bit. They are very coat hanger-y. + that's a very long neck. It's a lovely, skinny boy bod, though. Wonder what heads & if tan resin is planned. I'm glad I bought Erda when he came out. Now should I jump for Alan? I have more CP dolls than any other company.
Such a Cerberus junkie.

 

I can't remember - with the other releases, were the ala cart versions available right away? (If they were going to be available). I really want Alan, but I am not sure I want his full set.

 

@Dollquest they usually offer a basic version of the new dolls, that's how I got my Cgyne for her release.

Yeah, it's usually Designer Full set, Option Full set, and Basic.

 

FL has released a whole bunch of Feeple60 motion boys! Alan, Erda, Mirwen……. And Feeple60 60 girls!!!!!! Oh happy day!oh no, my wallet!

 

I’m so doomed here. I was debating getting a boy again. I was debating getting another girl, and here they all are. God thing dde does layaway…

 

It looks almost like a blister in the resin. I work in plastics injection molding (different type of plastic, though), and blisters often form in the products during molding. As long as it's just a surface issue, it could probably be removed with some light sanding. Hopefully there isn't like a hole or something under it.

If it's more of a solid lump, it's possibly from slight damage in the mold itself, or maybe a bit of excess melt dripped onto it when it was being removed from the mold. Hard to say.

I'm wondering if the arrow means this particular foot was just a sample part for workers to take note of (like "hey, this is an issue, watch out"), only it somehow ended up on your doll.

 

Oh, Fairyland... you got me! I'm going to order a spare head for my F60 El. If there was a sleeping or dreaming version I would have ordered those, too! May as well get some spare hands while I'm at it... hehehe...

Here's an old pic of my El, Gremory He totally needs a second head, right?? I'm excited to compare them and see if they've changed the sculpt at all.

I wonder if a quality control person put the arrow there, and then whoever was supposed to fix it... didn't. I bet you could probably cut it off with a knife, since it just looks like excess resin. It's too bad they didn't catch it before shipping though.

 

I'm a bit confused about the 'event.' Usually there's a free event head, but looks like they all have a price tag. ??? I love that there are choices with the boy body now. They must have held back on the Erda body sales and new heads while they created the new one. I have a Little Rebel head that is a close match to CP tan. Makes getting a new bod very tempting.
So many dolls this season. The 60-62cm range appeals more to me than before before. Fun to sew for but not so heavy to carry, pose, etc.
Those look back heads are great. I ordered El and Lishe for minifee. Still have my original 60cm from 2004. So, I look back in the doll room.

edit: ok. Denver Doll doesn't have them listed. FL does.

 

There is a free feeple60 head offered for orders over $900 and free minifee head for orders over $750 and a calendar for orders over $200.

 

Feeple60, boys, and tan, oh my! The new boy body looks quite nice, but I can't seem to find anywhere how tall/big it is -- does anyone know?

Also really excited to see lookbacks for F60! Lishe is very tempting, but I think I'm going to hold out in hopes that they follow the same pattern as the MNF lookbacks and offer Dark Soo/DES next.

@overlordu I love your El's soft pink + tan look, and of course he needs a second head! I too am interested to see if they changed any F60 lookback sculpts, since it appears that they did for the MNF.
