Fairyland Feeple60 Discussion - Part 14

May 6, 2019

    1. @Chikku At the moment I think it's unclear unfortunately (but don't quote me on that). I know FL has been offering it again on their smaller dolls, but I haven't seen anything on F60s at all...Hopefully they will offer the option again soon during the next event period.

    2. Aww, I hope they do. How often do they do events? (New to Fairyland but I’ve fallen for their sculpts :D)

    3. @Chikku You know, the winter holidays or Christmas events seem to always be their biggest, and so far they have offered *some* Tan dolls during this event. Will it be F60s? I don't know, but it's the best chance we get in the year.

    4. I wouldnt hold my breath for anything extravagant for the feeple60 this year, including tan skin. I think with all the factory work and updating they are doing with their factory, it would be more realistic when they rerelease the F65 next year and their factory can produce better output.

I think we will be seeing a lot more fantasy dolls then, instead of the larger human dolls. IIRC there wasnt any fairyline fantasy F60 this year, or any tan offered for the bigger dolls. I want to see the next Mandrak Moors doll and the return of F65 Chloe with the new body. Ive been told they will be coming in 2020 and we discussed that earlier if anyone wants to scroll back a bit.

The good thing is that we are in the final quarter of 2019, so 2020 is just around the corner so its not much of a wait :)

    5. I sure hope you're right, @GreenTeaSlug . It feels like Fairyland has been out of commission for so long!

    6. I have a new girl in the works:

    9. Thank you. Its all planned out and Im so excited to get Harper finished. I think she and Deja will be two very cute besties..lol

    10. Im ordering Harper's body. And I've become curious about the f60 long legs option. Does anyone have a comparison pic of a f60 reg legs beside the f60 long legs?
I'd greatly appreciate a visual of the two together.

Also, those of you who have the long leg version, do they fit pants made for reg legs (are they extremely short, or do they not fit at all)?

Thank you for any insight you can share. -Nikki

    11. Yeah, @IngieBee, thats all I was able to find too. Thank you. :)

    12. @Nikki'sNewObsession I have both the original and long leg Moe bodies. The are exactly the same width/circumfrance etc. if that is what you are wondering, literally the only difference between them is that the long leg version added an extra two centimeters of height split about evenly between the thigh and calf pieces (original Moe is 54cm, long leg is 56cm). You won't have to worry about pants like, not fitting over their thighs or anything since those are exactly the same. My dolls don't really wear pants so I can't help too much there, but I imagine that pants tailored perfectly for the original Moe body wouldn't cover the ankles on the long leg body. However, pants that aren't made specifically for the Moe body would probably fit the long leg body a bit better than on the original considering SD10/SD13 sized dolls usually have longer legs than the original Moe girls.
I'd add a photo of their height difference here but I think in all the shots I have of them they are wearing shoes so it wouldn't be all that accurate~

    13. Thank you thats very helpful

    14. I hope Feeple gets some love next year. I would love an Active body for the 60s like Minifee. My girl came in, and she's my first Moe body. Honestly not a fan, she can't sit up! I am so lost without my hip joint!

I also saw a 60 vs 65 comparison for the first time a few days ago and I didn't realize how big they are! I hope they come back soon, I kind of really want one...

Thanks again everyone for the eye advice by the way. I ended up not finding any eyes I liked, so I tried some 14mms I had laying around and they work so nicely! I am running out of spare eyes now though. :XD:

    15. So I jumped on a Lunnula, my very first Feeple60. Since she's an October baby, I'm calling her Hallow.

I'm so impressed by Fairyland bodies. I love the posing, the natural movement-- this body may have ruined me for all others. :shudder

    16. Oh, she looks so sweet! Congratulations, @Chikku :D

    17. Aww thank you. She’s so much fun— I completely understand the Fairyland love now. They’re amazing!

    18. Aww thank you! I'm been converted to a complete Fairyland Feeple lover now!

    19. Congrats! @Chikku :D She's lovely, so nice to see Lunnula~ She's such an underrated sculpt!

    20. @Chikku Hallow's amazing!
I also really love that Dollheart Fer she's wearing!
I think its antique lace color? I think that one is the prettiest of all the colors released :)

    21. Hugh waves to his Cerberus Project cousins. :thumbup I wish Fairyland had made the wand a staff. it's a bit heavy for waving around and would be nice as something to lean on. This is the first time he's worn his official costume. I really like how this guy stands like a rock or bends to pose. That's why I have more CP dolls than any other company. (but Dollshe and Soom are catching up.)

    22. Huge looks awesome, I love his outfit!~ :D I agree, while I love the aesthetics of many doll companies I've ended up only having FL dolls because I prefer posing them, especially the F60s ;)

After months of being busy (still busy lol) I've finally gotten around to finishing a wig for Chimera.

    24. Aww, thank you! I wish there were more Lunnulas!

I think so? I'm not sure, but it's really, really gorgeous.

He's so gorgeous!! Hugh is wonderful. CP dolls are taking over my collection too.

Chimera's so beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous photos.

    25. Thank you so much @Dakashy & @Chikku :aheartbea
I can't wait to take a group shot of my girls once they're all together~

    26. Im looking forward to the new group pic!

    27. @Moorish If you're having some trouble getting your Moe girl to sit up straight, make sure the thigh caps are rotated inward (so the elastic channels are closer together) while she's still standing, and then once you sit her down push her forward from her lower back while pinching her knees together and she'll sit up straight!

@Chikku Congratulations on your first F60! I love the name Hallow <3 Lunnula is an amazing sculpt I love seeing around. Its such a shame she hasn't been available to order for so long though, I've always been so temped to get one myself someday~

@Aquadoe Ahhh that wig looks stunning, the rosy color looks amazing with her resin color! Always love seeing more Chimera! :fangirl:

    29. @Nikki'sNewObsession I know you're going to hold me to it

@Arkelle Aww thank you! I'm happy this wig worked out for her as I was unsure of the color while working on it haha.
And whaaa, I love how magical and dreamy Gazelle is! I love how vivid and rich her colors are~ :D

@Koma Such a cute picture of Pasithea! I love her name as well~:aheartbea

    30. It's super cool though :thumbup

Oh, she is so gorgeous, great job @Aquadoe !

Wow, @Arkelle , Your Carol almost glows! She's stunning!

Pasithea is such a sweetheart, @Koma

I haven't been getting notifications for this thread, looks like I missed a lot!

    31. Sharing my new girl and first Feeple60!
Can anyone recommend other brands which are a good fit? Most of my other "1/3" scale shoes are a little loose on her.
      I don't like her default shoes >.<

    32. Those short and fat feetsies are a real pain to find shoes for. I did find these flats on Etsy that work well

    33. Thank you so much, those are adorable.

    34. I still have a lot of shoe shopping to do so hopefully others will chime in???

    35. Hello, friends! I'm hoping this is a good place to post about this, but I'm having trouble choosing a body for one of my floating heads (Black Cherry Ichigo). I've got it narrowed down to either Feeple60, Feeple60 Moe, or Iplehouse nYID girls, and I'd love to hear pros and cons of the Fairyland bodies! I'm a bit torn especially on the hip joint on the Feeple60, not sure how I feel about it. And as much as I love my JID, she is a pain in the butt to find clothes for, so I'm tempted to go the more "standard" FL size route!

    36. Moe usually needs her pants hemmed as she's a bit short. Moe actually poses better than F60 and does come in a longer legged version now.

Be aware that these bodies can only be purchased with a head or second hand. Also, you will have to remove the neck device to put a different non-fairyland head on it - and that means restringing with new chord as the neck device is a bugger to take off the chord as it is crimped on hard.

    37. Requesting some feeple lady pics, bonus for tan ladies!

    42. Aw she's a cutie!

    43. Just popping in to post a picture of my event head. It's an FL60-A head and I think she is so cute. Unfortunately, she only has my amateurish Faceup :doh I love her though :love

    44. Hello everyone! I ordered a FeePle60 Erda about a month ago as my first BJD and I have started looking for shoes that will fit him. May I know how big his feet are and what size of shoes he wears? I checked the FeePle60 wiki on DOA but I am not sure if the information is updated as I think Erda has the new motion body.

Besides, I am also considering getting him high-heeled feet because I found it so difficult to buy shoes for boys. I wonder if he can stand well with high-heeled feet? Thanks a lot!

    45. Can I request some Celine's? She's tempting my heart ♡

    46. I really need to take new photos of her but here is an old photo of my Celine, Valarie :D
      She's so photogenic!

    47. I’m just curious is anyone else waiting on a Momo? I ordered one but am on the fence about her face. I can’t wait to see her in person. I’m nervous. Her full set looked so pretty to me. Her face looks very unique. I figured if I didn’t like her head, I can just swap it out. Anyways I think they should start shipping out soon. The dolls always look so different to me in person compared to the company photos. I can’t wait to see owner photos. I’ve been looking on the wait list but I didn’t see any mention of anyone else waiting on a Feeple60 Momo.

      • x 1
    48. @Brenay I am waiting on Momo too! Likewise, I am a little concerned about the head as it seems rather small in some images? Fingers crossed we get some owner photos soon! I think I have another 3 weeks to wait before I can even expect shipping news

    49. That’s great ! I ordered mine July 31 st so mine should be here around Halloween? Fingers crossed.

    50. I don't know how I could 'pop I ' and post a picture above and not comment on those gorgeous photos above?!?!. I think I .issex notifications and had snapped a picture to show my girl some love and assumed there was nothing new here. But WOW, I just saw @Dakashy 's Layla , @Aquadoe 's Chimera , @Moorish 's Bea and of course, a Wow to an amazing @Magical Rin 's Celine full set!!! What a page! Sorry I missed the pictures!

    53. Hey all, I hope this is the correct place to ask, I couldn't find a Fairyline60 thread. Recently I bought a Scarlett fullset secondhand and her torso doesn't fit into her tail. This is another collector's photos but mine is doing the exact same thing: Josi on Instagram: “ Werbung/ Advertisement because mentioning a brand I need some help guys ! Fairyland refuses to see an issue here, so I'm asking all…”

Unfortunately, her previous owner didn't handle her much at all so they didn't notice this issue. They thought that she's supposed to sit in that "muffintop" way on the tail.

I do have her COA and original box. She's a fullset so she has both heads with FL company blushing, the outfit, eyes upgrade, basically everything that came with the original max option package.

I don't have a lot of experience dealing with Fairyland/DDE. Her original owner got her through DDE but since Scarlett was a release from a while back, do I have any chance at all in getting this issue addressed? Or am I most likely SOL? :(

    54. He should fit any boy shoes said to be in the 1/3 shoes size range. Don't get anything for 70cm size, it will be too big.

I don't know that any doll stands really well in heel feet, not all heel shoes are as level as a real shoe would be. It's super dependent on the specific shoe and the proper tension in your doll + your ability to balance your doll. I buy boys heel feet whenever I can - but I keep my dolls in stands so i don't have to worry about falling. They look really cute as barefoot relaxed feet if they are laying around.

    55. I think she might be made that way so that she can bend at the hip. But I don't own a fairy line, so I don't have first hand knowledge. I do have some dolls with hip joints, and there seems to be a choice: either you put stability into the design rendering the joint nearly useless (stiff, not much movement) or you do it as shown in that picture, making them very flexible but unstable.

Since it is the latter you have, the best thing I know of that can help is to hot glue suede the joint to reduce the slipperyess of the joint :(. I'm pretty certain she was designed that way though.

    56. No, Scarlett's hips are supposed to fit down (slightly) inside the seahorse. See these photos (not mine) for a "correct" fit:
      Boxopening
      Claire Seahorse
      Boxopening

You can also see the "correct" fit in this video from Fairyland:

That said, I highly suspect that Fairyland is NOT going to fix this for you:
      - You're not the original purchaser on record
      - The window for fixes/replacement parts is LONG passed (Scarlett was released 3+ yrs ago, some CARS don't even have warranties that long)
      - I've heard of several Scarletts with this issue, and never heard of FL addressing it

Honestly, I would side with Fairyland if they refused to address this issue. It's just been way too long.

That said, you do have some options:
      - I had the same problem with my RealFee May, her hips would not fit into her bunny parts. I eventually found a nubbin of resin that was a casting error. Once I sanded it down, she fit right in!
      - Resin becomes malleable if dipped in boiling water. You could potentially de-string the tail, dip the top hip part of the tail into boiling water until it softens, and then gently shape the opening to be a little wider so it fits the hips. You'd have to go little by little... Boil, shape, boil, shape, boil, shape, in tiny increments. There's risk, but it would be a permanent fix.

Out of curiosity, do you have a tan Scarlett? Oddly, I've only heard of this muffin-top issue with the tan girls.
