Fairyland Feeple60 Discussion - Part 14

@singkititay I ordered special color from Impldoll for the model body for $50 more (and with that $50, I ordered several bodies and items and was charged only once), they matched my sample perfectly. If they still have my neck ball resin, you could ask them to match it again? The body isn't a FL body, but hey, they're not offering bodies, and force us to look other places! At $215 it's an excellent body that almost perfectly matches the original FL60 bodies in size.

Another choice would / could be Supiadoll. Fairyland heads look great on the double jointed body. A bit taller than the original FL60 but fits in well. Their newest 65cm body is more Iplehouse like, and very hippy lots of width in hips, but a great poser. The first DJ body is very floppy and needs sueding or something I still love that body though it's a pain, LOL. I haven't sueded mine yet. I need to get off my lazy a**...........

I'm sure there are other good matches, but I really have no experience with other brands that match

Here is a CP/Luts head (same color as FL) on a new Luts body. AngelToast gave her a light dusting of white for her faceup, which makes it match very well!

I just wanted to see if anyone else has seen the new sculpt? It’s Momo! I really like her fullset.

they just released her and the summer event items (and the new minifee)

I just purchased Momo, shes going to be my first fairyland because I couldnt resist that princess fullset, it is very pretty

When I checked out, I was stressed to find that there was no shipping charge, but googling it shows that its free shipping for over $900, was not expecting that it is a nice surprise

She is on the moe body with the long legs, but I dont see information on the eye size. Im guessing 14mm based on other feeple60 sculpts

Is anyone getting her?

 

I'm a little heartbroken... I have been hoping & hoping & hoping that we'd get an F60 Momo because I wanted so badly an F60 bunny girl... but now that I see F60 Momo without any fantasy parts, I'm wondering if my dream of a big bunny girl may never come true. Also I see that tan skin is still closed.

 

@Cauldroness - I thought the same thing - no bunny bits! disappointing. The little version is so cute.

 

Do you guys also think the Feeple60 event head looks a bit like Rona? Esp. the lips.

 

On momo im a little confused... Her fullset says she comes with #18 hands (which i cant find anywhere) but she is pictured with #13 hands

 

@Cauldroness Compared to the fullsets released in 2018/7 the fullsets this year seem less exciting. The butterfly feeple60 is still available and has not sold out, when before the fullsets always sold out in 3-5 days.
I did ask them about a fairyline 60, and the return of the feeple65 and they said to wait for 2020, so I guess the exciting fairyline fantasy sets will be coming in 2020.

I am however surprised that the minifee is available to get in tan, but not the feeple60 limited girl

I do hope for a fairyline60 bunny, but most of all, wish for the impossible centaur/unicorn/pegasus in feeple65 or fairyline60

Perhaps a silly question, but does anyone know if the new Feeple60 Romantic Momo (full package) is limited at all? By time or run. I'm a big silly so apologies if it has been said anywhere - I absolutely adore it but probs won't be able to afford her this year, so wanted to know if there's any hopes of her full set being available next year XD

@IngieBee thats what they told me when I asked why every feeple65 was discontinued, I really want the Chloe in that size, shes very pretty, but that response was from end of 2017 or early 2018 but I remain hopeful for 2020. I cant find the Q&A board anymore so I cant CP the response I got (have they removed it?? I only see the 1:1 CS)

I had asked if it was possible for a centaur or a similar horse body creature for fairyline60/ feeple65 but they said it would be too expensive to produce, which would make the product too expensive to buy and there wouldnt be sales. It would be cool to get an actual mermaid tail and not a seahorse in 2020 .....

Out of curiousity, how many would be interested in getting a centaur/pegasus/unicorn F60/65 and what would be an acceptable price range? They did say it was going to be too expensive, but I wanted to see what everyone thought because a 1/3 version would be mega cool and interesting, and FL does them the best in looks and engineering

I hope that comes true, @GreenTeaSlug As far as fantasy parts go, I almost got the Ria with the bird feet, I just didn't have the money. She was so awesome! But in reality, I have no fantasy dolls beyond elves though I admire and adore many. Of course I'm not much the target, as I have so little to spend, I almost never buy full sets, but since you asked ....

So I see that the Feeple60 dolls can be bought in the basic versions more or less a la carte. Is that a normal thing, or is this an exception?

It's not my aim to go long periods without posting here, but I'm trying to carve out time for the hobby again.

Here's my newest girl, meet Fable! ♡ I'm hoping to get her painted in the Fall. She's only been here for a day and I'm totally in love with her. I've been wanting F60 Shushu (Nanuri 2018) since the event last year and kept passing on her (and being annoyed with myself afterwards).

I'm so happy that I could finally bring her home!

Hi friends! I have my first Feeple coming my way secondhand. I am pretty excited. I was wondering, what size eyes do you guys prefer in your dolls? I have her on a short layaway so I am trying to get some stuff ordered so she won't be naked once she gets here!

 

@Moorish Congratulations on your first feeple! Which sculpt is she? The eye size depends on the sculpt and also your preference of a larger or smaller pupil. Most of them wear 16mm to 14mm (sometimes 18mm depending on how large the eye well).

My F60 Nanuri 18 wears 14mm, while my F60 Rona and F60 Celine wear 16mm.

 

She is a F60 Vampire Cygne! I was trying to figure out what eyes she shipped with from FL but I can't find a listing that says the size. I just... don't have many big things to try out to get a good feeler haha. I had been thinking 16mm would be the fit for her as I like larger.

 

Congratulations @Moorish ! I think FL usually ships them out with 16, but with most of the newer sculpts, 14 fits well. I even prefer to go with a smaller Iris, but 12s are too gappy

 

I do 14’s in my Cygne, but it’s all personal preference! I can try to get a picture of them sometime if you’d like!

I personally have been using 14mm in my Cygne, but yes, 16mm works too!

I've gotten so frustrated trying to find eyes that I like, I'm finally going to try my hand at making some. I've been waiting for my molds to arrive, it's taking so long and I'm like dying to get started!

 

@IngieBee Thank you!~ Guppy's actually had these eyes for a while now. I originally bought them for a different doll but I made the common mistake of trying them in another doll and falling in love before the doll I actually bought them for even arrived haha~ So glad I did though, these eyes are just so perfect for Guppy!

Oh! I hope your eye making adventures turn out well! I completely relate to your frustrations with eyes. They are super gorgeous, but I've always found them to be my least favorite aspect of the doll hobby for sure. Plus my favorite type of eyes are the heavily stylized/semi-anime "drawn" look which can be fairly hard to find in the right size/shape for resin BJDs

But speaking of eyes, here's some extra spam of my Ria, Egret, for the thread! I got the random idea to borrow the eyes of one of my little dragon bjds and try them in Egret since they matched her color scheme and even though it's kind of an odd look I just love it for her for some reason haha~

 

Oh that does look super! Egret is almost exactly as amazing as Guppy, LOL. And of course, Gazelle, the three are amazing. Your style is unique. I'd copy you if I had an oz of talent, which is probably why my dolls are rather plain. Lack of vision, LOL.

 

@IngieBee Aww, thank you so much! You're too kind, really~ They're all so wonderful, I can never decide which one is my favorite!
Don't discourage yourself though! There is nothing wrong with just having "plain" dolls! I really admire people who can design their dolls/characters subtly enough to where they feel genuinely believable, you know? I always tend to design dolls/characters that are very unique and memorable, but cartoonishly so. When a character is designed with too much polish and specificity they can come across more like cartoonish "super heroes/villians" and less like believable people. I'm just not very good at designing more simplistic, down-to-earth type of dolls/characters so I consider having that simplistic eye to be a skill and one that I admire, even if some might right it off as just being boring or having a lack of vision.
That being said, if you do ever want your dolls/characters to have a bit more presence, attention to theming and color scheme is the best way to go about it!~

 

Good advice, thank you @Arkelle ! I am in the very long process of doing just that, and I'm getting theme down atm, but forgot color scheme. Thanks for the influence, you may have told me before, but now I have 'color notes' on my phone, LOL, and I'm taking notes!

 

Hello All I bought my first Feelple60 from Denver Doll Erda. I love his face and body. Mine is going to be a female. I like the thickness to the male body.

My question is does anyone know of anyone selling the fullset wig? Or know where I can buy one that is similar to the one in the fullset?

@Reslie , I am pretty sure it is a mohair wig. I don't see it for sale on their site though, but they have this one. He isn't that old a sculpt, so you might try contacting them or one of their dealers, such as Denver doll emporium, to see if they have one or could inquire for you.

I don't think it is a mohair wig to me it looks like heat resistant fiber. Luts has a similar one. It doesn't have two tones but the cut looks close to me. You can find it here: SDW-130 (Sweety Gold)
